Abstract

Giant fresh water prawn ( Macrobrachium rosenbergii) Located in the Wundulako River, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, from the results of observation on a field about 20 km from the shoreline, 5 female brooders and 1 male brooders are produced, so this is an early indicator that the number of M.rosenbergii  in nature is increasingly limited, so that the hatchery activities become primary solutions in anticipating the potential scarcity of M.rosenbergii, this research focuses on observing the embryonic morphology covering phases (cleavage¸naupli, post naupli, pre-hatch and hatching), in the pre-hatch phase of hatch media that is 4 ppm salinity were used, each embryo morphological change was documented using an electric microscope, recorded periodically (24 hours) and distributed according to visual development of the embryo. Egg incubation period for 21 days for hatching media 4 ppm.Udang sungai (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) Terdapat di Sungai Wundulako, Kabupaten Kolaka, Sulawesi Tenggara, dari hasil obesrvasi di lapangan sejahu 20 km dari bibir pantai, diperoleh 5 indukan betina, dan 1 indukan jantan, sehingga ini merupakan indikator awal bahwa jumlah udang M.rosenbergii di alam semakin terbatas, sehingga kegiatan pemebenihan menajadi solusi untama dalam mengantisipasi potensi kelangkaan M.rosenbergii, penelitian ini berfokus pada pengamatan morfologi embrio meliputi fase (cleavage¸naupli, post naupli, pre-hatch dan menetas), pada fase pre-hatch media penetasan yang digunakan bersalinitas  4 ppm, tiap perubahan morfologi embrio di dokumentasikan menggunakan mikroskop elektrik, di catat secara berkala (24 jam) dan di deskribsikan menurut perkembangan embrio secara visual. Masa inkubasi telur selama 21 hari untuk media penetasan 4 ppm.
