Abstract

The case of maternal mortality requires special attention as it serves as a significant indicator for improving health in a country, which is included in the achievement target of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number three, namely Good Health and Well-being. The Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) trend from 2016 to 2019 increased and was higher than the set target, whereas in 2020, it decreased below the set target. The high MMR is influenced by many factors, one of which is healthcare services such as Antenatal Care (ANC) examinations for pregnant women. Lack of ANC visits can endanger both the mother and the fetus due to the failure to detect warning signs. Healthcare services in the form of ANC for pregnant women are important to detect signs of pregnancy danger. The aim of this study is to assess the coverage of K1-K4. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method by utilizing secondary data available in the Special Region Of Yogyakarta  Kesga Application from 2020 to 2022. The results show that K1 coverage almost reached 100%, and K4 coverage exceeded 80% in the Special Region Of Yogyakarta  Province. Healthcare facility access is evenly distributed, and there is a correlation between K4 coverage and the maternal mortality rate, especially for high-risk pregnant women. In conclusion, K1 coverage in the Special Region Of Yogyakarta  province has exceeded the national target, while K4 coverage is still below the national target. The high coverage of K1-K4 in Special Region Of Yogyakarta  is influenced by many factors, including healthcare facility access.

Abstract

Abstract

Maternal mortality is an important indicator of improving health in a country which is included in the target of achieving the Subtainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia in 2018 was still high at around 305/100,000 KH. Maternal mortality in the Yogyakarta Special Region Province experienced a significant increase in 2021. Objective: to analyze the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in the Yogyakarta Special Region Province and determine the relationship between spatial accessibility of Community Health Centers. Method: This is a quantitative descriptive study to see the pattern of distribution of maternal mortality cases using GIS using ArcGis. Results: Maternal deaths in 2020-2022 have a spreading pattern with the highest cases being in Banguntapan sub-district and the distribution of health centers has been evenly distributed in each sub-district. Conclusion: Maternal death cases occur almost in all sub-districts, with a widespread distribution pattern. The highest case in the last three years occurred in 2021 due to exposure to Covid-19. The distribution of health centers is evenly distributed, but hospitals are still concentrated in Sleman district and Yogyakarta city.

Abstract

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is an important health information system for improving efficiency and service quality. In Indonesia, the implementation of EMR still faces challenges such as the lack of readiness and understanding of EMR among healthcare professionals, including students, resulting in considerable resistance to EMR adoption. The EMR socialization activities at the Faculty of Health, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani Yogyakarta, aim to enhance students' understanding of EMR and address implementation challenges. These activities involve 22 students from the Medical Records and Health Information (D-3), Nursing (S-1), and Pharmacy (S-1) programs. The socialization material was delivered through interactive approach and discussions, followed by a post-test using the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) questionnaire. The EMR socialization was successfully introducing the basic concepts of EMR to students. Before the socialization, most students were not familiar with EMR and were still using manual medical records. After the socialization, there was a positive readiness for EMR, reflected in students' positive views on the efficiency, effectiveness, and creativity of working with EMR. Continuous capacity-building activities related to EMR for students are necessary.

Abstract

Background: The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) revealed an increase in diabetes mellitus (DM) prevalence among individuals aged ≥15 years from 2.0% in 2018 to 2.2% in 2023, potentially linked to post-COVID-19 lifestyle changes. This study explored factors contributing to the rising diabetes cases in Indonesia using 2023 SKI data. Methods: This cross-sectional study utilized aggregate data from the 2023 SKI, collected between March and May 2025. The study selected 34,500 census blocks using proportional stratified sampling. Data collection involved interviews and physical examinations. Spearman's correlation and linear regression identified diabetes-related risk factors.Result: Positive correlations were found between DM and daily smoking, former smoking, high-fat food consumption, body weight monitoring, telemedicine use, and obesity. Negative correlations were observed for occasional smoking exposure, tobacco use, sweet food consumption, and normal nutritional status. Physical activity showed no significant association. Multivariate analysis revealed that individuals with blood pressure checks less than once a year had an 8.63-fold higher DM risk. Telemedicine use, low-frequency starchy tuber intake, and BPJS PBI membership were associated with increased risk, while nut consumption (1–6 times/week) reduced the risk by 26%.Conclusion : Behavioral and healthcare access factors significantly influenced diabetes risk. Smoking, unhealthy diet, and limited health monitoring increased this risk. Further research using individual-level data is recommended to better understand these associations and inform targeted interventions. Keywords: Diabetes prevalence, Risk factors, Indonesian Health Survey 2023, Lifestyle Behaviors, Healthcare access.
