Abstract

In the Bukittinggi City Hospital building which has 6 floors, there is a water pump and a reservoir used to supply clean water for daily needs. Based on the reality in the field where there is no secondary data to determine the type of pump and reservoir. The purpose of this analysis is to obtain clean water discharge requirements, obtain the type of pump and ensure that the reservoir used for building C RSUD Kota Bukittinggi is in accordance with the type of pipe and reservoir installed in building C, floor 6. By using field studies and interviews and applying the formulas related to pump calculations. In determining the type of pump to be used in the building, it includes the required water discharge, determining the capacity of the components to be used such as pipe diameter, water tank capacity on the ground floor and roof of the building and the total head on the pipe. Based on the calculation results, the required water discharge is 0.08333 m 3 /min, the upper reservoir has a capacity of 150,000 liters, the bottom reservoir is 5,000 liters and the Hot that occurs is 18.429 m. Then the required pump specifications are 40 x 32B2 -51.5 Grundfos CM 10-3. The pump specifications are not much different from those that have been applied in the field.

Abstract

The comfort factor of a room is determined according to the location, characteristics and activities in the room. In order for the room to feel comfortable, a tool is needed to cool the room. The hall of Campus III UM West Sumatra as a place for academic activities measuring 28.3 m long, 8.3 m wide, 3.2 m high with a capacity of 130 people, requires air conditioning according to the needs of the room. This study aims to determine the need for air conditioning cooling load for the hall space. The research carried out literature review and observation, calculating temperature, temperature, hall size, and others. The result of the research is that the cooling load is 25.44 kW, so 3 units of split PK type AC are needed

Abstract

the engine performance is very important at the automotive world, especially on 4-stroke motorcycles, where most people want the engine performance to be better and more economically. In this case to improve engine performance is done by changing the piston on the motor. With a different piston shape can increase the compression ratio. The purpose of this study is to determine changes in compression ratio, torque, power and fuel consumption, after replacing the piston. The test was carried out on a 2006 Honda Tiger, with a standard piston specification with a diameter of 64.5 mm (flat surface) and replaced with a 64.5 mm pro newtech piston (convex surface) by using Pertamax 92 fuel. The results obtained from the comparison of the compression value of 1, 6 : 1, 12.65 ft-lbs of torque, and 2.87 ft-lbs of power so that fuel consumption increases by 5.685%

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of differences in tire pressure on brake testing at the Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah (UPTD) Motor Vehicle Testing, Solok Regency, the implementation of this analysis is to find the efficiency and deviation of the braking force on the tool. Test Brake Tester as well as the condition and calibration of the Brake Tester optimally so that the results of the test equipment are accurate so as to reduce errors in the test results. This research was conducted at the Motor Vehicle Testing Building, Solok Regency, with this research it is expected to be able to find the effect of differences in tire pressure on the efficiency and storage of the braking force. From the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that different tire pressures affect the efficiency and deviation of the braking force on the Brake Tester, so it is necessary to check the tires regularly and once a year calibration of the test equipment must be carried out correctly.

Abstract

Chiller adalah mesin refrigerasi yang fungsi utamanya mendinginkan air pada sisi evaporator. Air kemudian dialirkan ke AHU (Air Handling Unit) untuk didinginkan dan dihembuskan ke dalam ruangan. Penghapusan panas atau panas dimulai di evaporator. Mesin ini memiliki keunggulan lebih hemat energi dan digunakan untuk mendinginkan gedung bertingkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun chiller berkapasitas 6 KW, menggunakan sistem kompresi uap dengan komponen utama kompresor, kondensor, katup ekspansi dan evaporator. Untuk mesin ini, kompresor yang digunakan adalah kompresor Bristol, round tube condenser - continuous fin compact heat exchanger coiled tube evaporator, nominal diameter ¼ inch, TC-70 capillary tube sebagai Expansion valve. Air didinginkan dari suhu 25 – 18 oC dengan mensirkulasikan air dengan pompa dengan debit aliran 10 l/menit, dan fluida kerja yang digunakan adalah R-404. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah manganalisa bagaimana efek beban pendingin terhadap kinerja mesin sistem pendingin, meliputi kapasitas refrigerasi, daya kompresi serta berapa besar Coefisien Of Performance (COP) pada mesin mini Water Chiller.
