Abstract

Graduating on time is what every student wants to accomplish in college. Students of Prof. Dr. Hamka Muhammadiyah University are one of those who have this dream. Based on 2020 graduates data from the Tracer Study, 60% said the university had a high enough impact  on improving competence.  This data indicates that university needs to evaluate improvement of academic quality. Often, students have difficulty finding information about important factors that support achieving timely graduation. A prediction analysis is needed to provide information about the student's graduation study period. For this analysis, data mining is implemented using the classification function of the decision tree (C4.5) algorithm with RapidMiner tools. The methodology for implementing data mining follows the stages of Knowledge Discovery In Database (KDD), beginning with data collection, preprocessing, transformation, data mining, and evaluation. The research findings consist of visualization and decision tree rules that reveal GPA as the most influential factor in determining a student's study period. There is other information, namely, students graduated on time (less than equal to 4 years) amounted to 170 or 54.5% and students did not graduate on time (more than 4 years) amounted to 142 or 45.6%. Testing the performance of decision tree (C4.5) utilizing confusion matrix through RapidMiner tools, resulted in accuracy reaching 83.87%, with precision of 87.50% and recall of 91.18%. Provides evidence that the decision tree algorithm (C4.5) has optimal performance to provide valuable information about predicting student graduation in order to increase student enrollment with the right study period.

In today's world, artificial intelligence through chatbots has become one of the mainstays in handling various problems. One of the well-known types of chatbots is ChatGPT, which utilizes NLP (Natural Language Processing) technology to understand and respond to user queries and requests. ChatGPT, as a device that is very easy to use for all circles, has a fairly simple interface but does not cause boredom, and the speed in responding to commands given, this is an added value of ChatGPT. Despite the myriad of conveniences offered, ChatGPT also raises concerns on the negative side. The negative side is that there are many concerns that arise, starting from the rampant spread of hoaxes and misunderstandings on social media. The advantages and disadvantages that have been explained above, researchers are encouraged to find out the truth from the public's response regarding ChatGPT more deeply so that this sentiment analysis research is made. Moreover, research related to sentiment analysis can be said to be quite an answer to the confusion of public responses outside related to ChatGPT. This research also starts from the process of Data retrieval on Twitter social media using Rapidminer, in this process the researcher uses the Twitter API token on the Rapidminer application so that it can be obtained. The data that has been obtained is then cleaned through the preprocessing process using the features available in Rapidminer, the result of this process is that the data becomes clean. After being cleaned through preprocessing, it is then labeled as positive or negative which will later be classified by the Naïve Bayes algorithm. This classification aims to divide between positive sentiment and negative sentiment. After performing classification, the data is then evaluated using a confusion matrix and the results are obtained with an accuracy value of 96.55%, a precision value of 89.19%, and a recall value of 95.18%.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the IT governance implementation in the computer laboratory at XYZ Institution using COBIT 2019 framework. Based on the scope and the problems that were identified, BAI and DSS aspects are the domains chosen to measure the implementation of the IT governance. The methods for this research are focus group discussion and field assessment. The BAI and DSS domains consist of 16 objectives, which are then divided into 104 practices and then divided further into 535 activities. These 535 activities are the processes that we have to determine for each capability level. After determining the capability levels for each process, we summarized the values and then evaluated the average values for each objective. These average values are the values that we used to determine the capability levels for each objective. We presented the result of our self assessment using a radar diagram. XYZ Institution is still in the starting phase of having good IT governance. This condition is reflected by the achievement of each objective’s capability levels ranging from 1 to 2. In addition to this condition, there is only one objective that meets the Institution’s capability level target of 3.
