Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to enhance community knowledge and skills in making bamboo craft waste into biochar using retort drum technology. Bamboo biochar produced by using retort drum technology will be used to enhance the relatively low fertility of agricultural soil in Banjar Waru village. The way for carrying out community service activities involves introducing biochar and its manufacturing procedures, training in biochar production, and evaluating the longing program. The activity's results showed that participants were interested in and noticed the process of making bamboo waste into biochar. The effectiveness of this community service activity is that there is a program conducted in groups to produce bamboo charcoal and other agricultural waste.

Abstract

Pollution is one of the environmental problems in developing countries. Sources of pollution can be caused by nature and due to human actions. One of the air pollution sources is heavy metal content of Pb which is not easily decomposed in nature so that it can contaminate the environment. In Puring plants, especially the leaves have cellulose acetate which can filter heavy metals. The purpose of this study was the manufacturing of cellulose acetate from the leaves of the Puring plant. The cellulose obtained from the simplicia of leaves of the Puring plant will then be reacted into cellulose acetate through the acetylation reaction process using acetic anhydride with variations in temperature and reaction time taken, namely 40, 50, 60° C and as long as 50, 55, and 60 minutes. The levels of cellulose acetate were obtained through the cellulose extraction process, the synthesis of cellulose acetate and the final stage of making the membrane, from this process the optimum temperature and reaction time results were obtained in the second experiment with a temperature and reaction time of 50°C each and for 55 minutes without applying a catalyst 12.40%. In addition, the weight variation of raw material powder was taken, namely 20, 40, 60, 80, and 120 mg using a certain concentration of Pb (II) solution to determine the adsorbent capacity. These results can be obtained from analysis using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR).

Abstract

One of the important things in financial management is financial services. Cilacap State Polytechnic (PNC) is a PTN as a Work Unit. Financial management at PNC refers to applicable government regulations, but financial service policies are the authority of the leadership as a strategy to create fast, effective, and accountable financial services. The budget usage policy stipulates that work units must propose budget usage based on the Fund Withdrawal Plan through a down payment form approved by the Financial Management Officer. The current problem is that down payment forms are often scattered or lost, so the response time for payments from finance is slow, and payment queues are often not in sequence. This results in activities being hampered. This research aims to create a prototype or development design for the Financial Services Information System at PNC. The FCFS method is used as a service scheduling algorithm based on arrival time to optimize financial services. In this way, the financial service process will be more organized, the response time for financial services will be faster, and the queue for service requests will be in line.

Abstract

Assets are resources owned by an entity. Cilacap State Polytechnic is a higher education institution that has many assets. Current asset maintenance and repair services are still carried out conventionally. Each work unit must fill out a maintenance and repair proposal form and then submit it to the Maintenance, Repair, and Maintenance Unit (UP3). The proposal will be recorded and scheduled to be followed up by the Technician. The problem that occurs is that the proposal form is often scattered and even lost so the response time is often slow. In addition, maintenance and repair schedules are often not ordered according to the time of the request. This has an impact on the abandonment of work in certain work units. The purpose of this research is to create an information system for the repair and maintenance of campus assets. In order for maintenance and repair services to be carried out according to the time of the request, the FCFS method is applied. Thus, the service process for maintaining and repairing campus assets becomes more organized, schedules (queues) are sequenced, and the response time for incident handling is faster.

Abstract

One source of regional income for Cilacap Regency is the management of vehicle parking lots. Currently, parking area management is carried out by recording the identity of the parking location based on the street name, while the withdrawal of parking fees is carried out by towing officers who come to the parking location and then record it in a book. The current management of parking lots is still inaccurate because there are several street names that have more than one parking area which results in data redundancy. The conventional parking fee collection system causes frequent discrepancies in reports due to the potential for misuse of parking fees. The absence of tools that can be used by related agencies to control reports is the cause of the problem. The research objective is to develop an information system by applying LBS technology which functions to detect parking points precisely and QR Code Detection which functions to detect the identity of parking attendants. System development uses the ADDIE model. The results of the research are an information system for mapping parking lots and picking up parking fees based on Andorid which can help manage vehicle parking lots which includes mapping the location of parking lots and picking up vehicle parking fees.

Abstract

Determining Uang Kuliah Tunggal/UKT for new students is important in Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru/PMB process after PMB selection process. The determination of UKT groups by The PMB committee at Politeknik Negeri Cilacap is carried out one by one by looking at the economic data of new students. This condition has become a special problem due to the increase in PMB quotas in the PNC, so it requires alternative solutions that can be used as one of the benchmarks in the determination of a new student UKT group in PNC. The researchers used clustering with features that represent the economic conditions of new students with the K-means method to provide alternative solutions. The result of using the K-Means method in clustering, yielding a performance value for the number of clusters 8 of 1669,283, with the highest number of cluster members in cluster members in cluster 4 being 72 out of 275 data. The Elbow method test results to determine the best number of clusters resulting in 4 cluster with a performance value of 2462,003.
