Abstract

Mi Lethek  (Lethek Noodle) is made from Bantul original cassava. Its selling creation and packaging are potentially developed. The objective to develop Mi Lethek noodle is to increase the added value and selling value of Bantul’s superior culinary product. The method used was providing training and coaching on the selling tips and creative packaging, monitoring and evaluation towards the producers and the management. The results obtained are the producer label establishment of Mi Lethek Asli Bendo with Garuda brand, the noodle product with new packaging, and online marketing media.

Abstract

Film merupakan media komunikasi yang awalnya bersifat sebagai media hiburan. Seiring berkembangnya zaman, fungsi film tidak hanya sebagai media hiburan, melainkan menjangkau lebih luas segmen sosial, kemudian film berpotensi untuk mempengaruhi khalayak banyak. Dengan demikian film mampu menyajikan sebuah realitas yang terjadi di masyarakat. Salah satu realitas sosial yang terjadi pada saat ini adalah diskriminasi gender yang terjadi pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Peran film dalam mempelopori diskriminasi gender memang harus dilakukan. Hal ini disebabkan karena media massa sebagai pembentuk opini, maka dibutuhkan pendekatan untuk memberitahu kepada masyarakat tentang diskriminasi gender. Terutama bagi perempuan yang lebih dominan menjadi korban diskriminasi gender. Film Kartini 2017 menceritakan bagaimana perempuan Jawa pada abad ke18 terbelakang dalam segala hal, karena pada masa itu masyarakat Indonesia masih menganut budaya patriarki. Berdasarkan latar belakang di atas penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana representasi diskriminasi gender dalam film Kartini 2017 dan bagaimana Islam memandang kesetaraan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan dokumentasi. Kemudian untuk menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes yang membagi semiotika menjadi dua tahapan yakni denotasi dan konotasi kemudian makna mitos yang menjadi ideologi dari pemaknaan denotasi dan konotasi tersebut. Terdapat 16 scene dalam film Kartini 2017 yang mengandung didalamnya nilai diskriminasi gender yang berupa, subordinasi, marginalisasi, stereotip, dan kekerasan. Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu penggambaran diskriminasi gender dalam bentuk pelabelan negatif pada perempuan, penomorduaan pada perempuan, dan kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Semua kategori diskriminasi tersebut disimpulkan oleh peneliti melalui metode analisis semiotika Roland Barthes.

Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of learning for students that allows them to be directly involved in community life. At Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, students carry out KKN in Sangkrek Hamlet with the aim of providing empowerment, training, counseling, mentoring, and assistance to the local community. Through KKN, students act as agents of change who are actively involved in community dynamics, with a focus on improving the quality of life and development. The observation methods used include question and answer, documentation, and direct observation to the field. The results of these observations help determine the work program of KKN group 091, which is divided into physical and non-physical programs. The physical programs include recycling collection, village community service, making a map of residents' parcels, making the Karang Taruna structure wall, and agricultural activities with the Women Farmers Group. Meanwhile, non-physical programs involve PAUD assistance, tutoring, Posyandu assistance, and healthy gymnastics activities. Students in KKN act as facilitators, dynamics, and motivators in the implementation of these programs. The implementation of KKN was carried out from January 11, 2024 to February 11, 2024 and ran smoothly and received assistance from the community. Residents of Sangkrek Hamlet support and actively participate in the implementation of the KKN work program, so that the implemented program can be directly benefited by both students and residents of Sangkrek Hamlet. It is hoped that after KKN ends, the people of Sangkrek Hamlet can continue to develop the potential of themselves and their environment, and maintain the activities that have been carried out as capital for the future.

Abstract

Nowadays, YouTube is not only used for entertainment but also widely used for da’wa. One of them is Vertizone TV. Vertizone TV is one of the popular da’wa accounts in Indonesia and is relatively fast in increasing the number of subscribers. This research aimed at describing the communication strategy of Vertizone TV in increasing its while knowing the supporting and hindering factors of the strategy. This research applied a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique was through observation, interviews, and documentation. This research used the theory of Fred R.David, which states that a strategy process consists of 3 stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The findings revealed that the communication strategy of Vertizone TV in improving its number of subscribers involved the planning stage by setting vision and mission as well as for deciding the strategy for da’wa. For the implementation stage, Vertizone TV also had some strategies to get more viewers and subscribers. In the evaluation stage, Vertizone TV revaluated the implemented strategies whether they were effective and efficient. In addition, this evaluation stage was done to find out the pros and cons of implementing the strategy.

Abstract

Dawah activities in the technological era are not only done conventionally but can also be done through various media. Currently, da'i or da'wah activists through the internet and social media. One of them is the Hobby Makan channel. This research aims to find out the message of da'wah and the meaning of da'wah messages carried out by the Hobby Makan YouTube channel. This research uses descriptive qualitative by using Stuart Hall's reception analysis approach through interviews, observations, and documentation of 6 informants consisting of students of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, non-Muhammadiyah Islamic University, and public universities, both public and private. The results of this study can be concluded that this channel gives more of a message of da'wah in terms of charity, especially in sharing and giving. Stuart Hall’s 3 audience messages of reading positions consist of dominant position, negotiation position, and oppositional position, respectively.
