Abstract

Abstract

The Andrawina Creation Dance is a new creative dance created to depict the rich traditions and dynamics of changes that occur in Punjulharjo Village. This dance reflects the community's enthusiasm and dedication in preserving traditions and livelihoods in the field of salt farming. The aim of this activity is to create works of art that are relevant to local cultural values and encourage the involvement of the younger generation in traditional art. This dance was created through improvisation and music analysis methods. Dance movements are formed spontaneously by paying attention to the tempo and melody of the accompanying music. This dance is performed by at least 5 dancers and combines traditional and modern elements. The results of this activity show the high enthusiasm of village children in participating in dance training which is held every evening. Andrawina's dance was successfully performed in the arts event "The Miracle of Punjulharjo" and received a positive response from the public. This performance is proof that the dance can be accepted as part of the village's cultural identity. This activity also strengthens a sense of togetherness and pride in local heritage. Apart from that, Andrawina dance is a medium of creative expression for the younger generation, especially children, in preserving culture in a fun way.

Abstract

This program aims to develop and implement effective education and training on food production safety practices for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The activity was conducted in Karangsari Sub-district, Kendal Regency, as a form of community service through a student community engagement (KKN) program. The training materials focused on food safety standards, hygiene and sanitation, and proper food handling. The main goal was to enhance the health and safety practices of local entrepreneurs by improving food safety standards, preventing contamination, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. A evidence-based approach was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the training methods implemented. The evaluation included analysis of success factors, challenges, and participant responses, with local context as a key consideration in assessing the program's relevance. This study contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Through this training, MSMEs gained knowledge and skills to produce safe and high-quality food products. The practical guidelines developed in this program were designed for easy field implementation. As a result, MSMEs are expected to develop their businesses sustainably, safely, and in compliance with standards. This program also strengthens community involvement in supporting a healthy and inclusive local economic development. Abstract

Cocos Nucifera or coconut plays an important role in the life of Indonesian coastal communities, including in Punjulharjo Village, Rembang, Central Java, which relies on coconut as an economic resource due to the presence of tourist activity on Karang Jahe Beach. However, this activity also leads to the accumulation of coconut waste which is an urgent, challenging environmental problem in waste management. The solution to such problems can be achieved through community creativity in creating eco-art from coconut bird waste, such as plant pots and pop-up books that depict the history and culture of the village. The process of making a ship's pot involves the use of special tools such as a gerinda machine, alteco glue, wooden beams, plots, and boardmarker to form a dry fence into a useful pot. While the pop-up book process itself is done using Adobe Illustrator to illustrate the discovery of cultural elements that it has. This solution will not only reduce the accumulation of coconut waste, but will increase the economic value of Punjulharjo Village. Ships serve as a tool to convey messages about people's relations with the sea and their maritime history. In addition, the pop-up book serves as an educational tool for tourists, enhancing their understanding of local history, culture, and village characteristics. This eco-art product offers substantial economic benefits and is a meaningful attraction for visitors. The use of eco-art-based coconut poultry waste can reflect a holistic approach to environmental conservation, cultural identity, education, and economic empowerment. These sustainable initiatives highlight the potential for positive change when dealing with environmental, cultural, and economic aspects together. For example, addressing waste issues, raising incomes, and promoting local cultural heritage, as well as preserving coastal ecology.
