Abstract

Abstract

Research is divided into three sections that contribute to analyse the optimization of employment on large productive population in Magelang, First, to identify the spatial pattern and concentration based on MSME’s sector by considering comparative benefits. Secondly, to analyse the opportunity in its association with employments in MSMEs. Thirdly, the determinants of employment in MSMEs based on the field of industry, trading and service. This research employs quantitative approach by using Location Quotient and Economic Base Model as analysis for local and regional economic, as well as multiple linier regression analysis. The research indicates that each area demonstrates distinctive spatial pattern and concentration, in terms of industrial sector, trading and service. The opportunity for employment could be notified from basic employment and basic multiplier that exist in each area. There are certain areas that have high potential in new employments once the jobs are available in the sector of industry, trading and service. The determinants of employment of above three sectors have distinctive behaviour in responding the addition of new MSMEs and the addition of revenue. Hence, the appropriate stimulus could be formulated to optimize absorption of productive labour population based on the findings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors of production on chicken meat production, analyze the level of business efficiency and inefficiency in broiler farms, and analyze what factors influence the level of technical efficiency of the broiler farming business in Magelang Regency. This study uses primary data collected in the period June-October 2022 using the Cluster Random Sampling method. The production factor variables used in this study are capital per period, DOC (Day Old Chick)/chicks, feed, drug units, and labor with the dependent variable being the production of chickens in kilograms. While the inefficiency variables are age, education, gender, experience, number of family dependents, number of visits, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), chicken mortality, and cage density. Research findings show that all production factors have a positive impact on increasing chicken production results for broiler farmers. The results of the calculation, it was found that of the 81 breeders, the lowest efficiency value was 60 percent while the highest efficiency value was 97 percent with an average efficiency of 88 percent, which means that there is still a potential of 12 percent to be developed. Thus, there is still potential to restore the position of broiler farming as a base sector. Therefore, the government's role is very important to restore the broiler farming business in Magelang Regency so that it becomes a base sector.

Abstract

The decline in environmental quality can be influenced by many things, one of which is economic growth. In 2016 Indonesia was in position 57 out of 61 countries with an environmental quality index value of 66.55. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Water Pollution Index (X1), Soil Pollution Index (X2), and Air Pollution Index (X3) on Environmental Quality (Y). This type of research is quantitative with an Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach. The population in this study were 34 provinces in Indonesia with secondary data obtained from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2018. The results of this study show that the Water Quality Index variable has an insignificant negative effect, the Soil Quality Index no significant positive effect, and the Air Quality Index variable has a significant negative effect on environmental quality. The conclusion of this study is that the government needs to implement policies in dealing with cases of water, soil, and air pollution because this is very dangerous for living things and the environment.

Abstract

The economic openness of a country is one of the indicators of a highly competitive country. The benefit of the open economy is international trade. This is done to increase state income which can provide community welfare. Changes in the international trade balance affect monetary indicators. International trade consists of export and import activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of changes in monetary indicators consisting of exchange rates, interest rates, and inflation on export performance in Indonesia from January 2017 to December 2021. The data sources used are from the Central Statistics Agency and Bank Indonesia. This study uses time series secondary data. The analytical method used is the Vector Error Correction Model with the help of EViews 10. There are monetary indicators studied that affect export performance and some do not affect export performance. The exchange rate is proven to have a major influence on and contribute to export performance. The findings of this study show that Indonesia needs to strengthen the rupiah exchange rate.

Abstract

Construction waste poses a significant environmental and economic challenge in Indonesia’s rapidly expanding construction sector. This research develops a financing model for managing construction waste throughout the project life cycle, emphasizing the integration of cost components and waste management strategies. Data were collected through surveys, structured interviews, and observations from 80 construction projects across Indonesia. The analysis revealed that while reinforcement, bricks, and split stone have high recycling potential, actual reuse remains limited due to poor planning and insufficient infrastructure. Seven financing components were identified: material loss, production/management, sorting, collection, transportation, recycling, and dumping. Notably, material loss accounts for the largest cost share—up to 10% of project value—while recycling and dumping costs are underfunded at 0.01%–0.5%. A cost-based model was developed to simulate waste-related expenses, ranging from 0.39% to 20.5% of overall project costs. The research also highlights the design stage as a critical leverage point for maximizing waste reduction. By aligning financial planning with life cycle stages, this research provides practical guidance for stakeholders and supports Indonesia’s transition to a circular construction economy through better budgeting, policy development, and waste strategy implementation.
