Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Minat baca dan critical thinking skill siswa sekolah dasar masih membutuhkan perhatian serius. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan critical thinking skill siswa di tingkat dasar melalui pembentukan pojok literasi kreatif. Mitra kegiatan adalah SD Negeri 3 Batu Putih, dengan target kegiatan seluruh Generasi Alpha di SD Negeri 3 Batu Putih, yang secara alami membutuhkan pendekatan belajar yang aktif, contextual, dan menyenangkan. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi komunikasi dan koordinasi dengan mitra, identifikasi masalah dan kebutuhan literasi di sekolah, perencanaan program partisipatif dan pengembangan materi, pelaksanaan pojok literasi kreatif, pelatihan bagi guru dan pendampingan terstruktur, monitoring dan evaluasi, refleksi, serta diseminasi hasil pengabdian. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat baca siswa yang signifikan, terlihat dari frekuensi kunjungan ke pojok membaca dan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan membaca serta diskusi kelompok. Siswa juga menunjukkan kemajuan dalam critical thinking skill, termasuk kemampuan menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menyampaikan pendapat secara logis. Peran guru sebagai fasilitator literasi sangat penting dalam membantu proses berpikir siswa. Pembentukan pojok literasi kreatif juga mendorong terciptanya atmosfer pembelajaran yang mendukung kolaborasi, empati, dan ekspresi diri. Program ini dapat dijadikan sebagai model implementasi literasi kritis yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah dasar lain dengan penyesuaian lokal. Disarankan agar program ini menjadi bagian dari strategi sekolah dalam membangun budaya literasi dan memperkuat criticala thinking skill sejak usia dini. Kata kunci: pojok literasi kreatif, minat baca, berpikir kritis, generasi alpha, sekolah dasar. ABSTRACTThe reading interest and critical thinking skills of elementary school students still require serious attention. This activity aims to increase the reading interest and critical thinking skills of elementary school students through the establishment of creative literacy corners. The partner for this activity is SD Negeri 3 Batu Putih, with the target audience being the entire Alpha Generation at SD Negeri 3 Batu Putih, who naturally require an active, contextual, and enjoyable learning approach. The methods applied include communication and coordination with partners, identification of literacy problems and needs in schools, participatory program planning and material development, implementation of creative literacy corners, training for teachers and structured mentoring, monitoring and evaluation, reflection, and dissemination of service results. The results of the activities showed a significant increase in students' interest in reading, as seen from the frequency of visits to the reading corner and active participation in reading activities and group discussions. Students also showed progress in critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyze, evaluate, and express opinions logically. The role of teachers as literacy facilitators is very important in helping students' thinking processes. The establishment of creative literacy corners also encourages the creation of a learning atmosphere that supports collaboration, empathy, and self-expression. This program can be used serve as a model for the implementation of critical literacy that can be applied in other elementary schools with local adjustments. It is recommended that this program be part of the school's strategy in building a culture of literacy and strengthening critical thinking skills from an early age. Keywords: creative literacy corner, reading interest, critical thinking, alpha generation, elementary school.
