Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan sikap toleransi yang ada di masyarakat dengan konseling kelompok yang menggunakan pendekatan konseling singkat berfokus solusi. Toleransi merupakan hal dasar dalam bermasyarakat. Sikap toleransi berarti seseorang dapat menerima dan menghargai pendapat, agama, suku, dan ras orang lain. Hal ini perlu ada sebuah tindakan dalam pengembangannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental desain dengan model one group pretets-posttets. Pelaksanaan koseling kelompok dengan subjek berjumlah 8 orang. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil skor awal sikap toleransi dan hasil skor akhir sikap toleransi setelah diberikan layanan konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan konseling singkat berfokus solusi.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed counseling practices, including those in Indonesia. This study explores the therapeutic relationships in online counseling, particularly as the cultural values of togetherness and openness characteristic of Javanese society influence them. A qualitative approach, employing a phenomenological study design, was utilized for this research. The subjects included 15 participants, comprising eight counselors and seven clients, selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection involved in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. Techniques such as data triangulation and member checking were employed to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that while non-verbal communication barriers and limited personal interaction pose challenges, digital counseling expands access to services. Interestingly, in some cases, clients exhibit greater openness, benefiting from the anonymity and physical distance that digital platforms provide. This study emphasizes the significance of adopting a culturally informed counseling approach to enhance the quality of therapeutic relationships in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an online Islamic Counseling Guidance (ALOn BKI) service application as an innovative solution to expand access to digital technology-based Islamic counseling. This application is designed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model approach, which provides a systematic framework in each stage of development. The focus of the study includes user needs analysis, application design and development, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation. The results of the study indicate that ALOn BKI has succeeded in providing flexible and practical Islamic counseling services, equipped with interactive features such as chat, video calls, and materials based on sharia values. The application trial showed a high level of user satisfaction, especially in terms of ease of access and relevance of services to Islamic teachings. In addition, the reminder and ongoing guidance features support the counseling process effectively. However, there are challenges in the form of low digital literacy in some users and the need to strengthen the personal data security system. Recommendations for further development include the addition of analytical features to track client progress and thematic support groups. In conclusion, ALOn BKI makes a significant contribution to increasing the accessibility and effectiveness of technology-based Islamic counseling services. This application has the potential to be a model for the development of religion-based counseling services in the future

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan komunikasi konseling mahasiswa Bimbingan Konseling Islam menjadi tantangan dalam menyiapkan konselor pemula yang kompeten, khususnya pada aspek penerapan keterampilan dasar konseling secara praktis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mampu mengintegrasikan pemahaman konseptual dengan pengalaman langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas metode Experiential Learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi konseling pada mahasiswa Bimbingan Konseling Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan (Action Research) model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa yang dipilih berdasarkan asesmen awal. Intervensi dilakukan dalam 9 kali pertemuan yang meliputi pemberian materi, diskusi kelompok, dan praktik konseling terbimbing. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi checklist, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa. Pada tahap pra-tindakan, rata-rata keterampilan mahasiswa hanya mencapai 25,02% dengan kategori “Kurang”. Setelah tindakan, skor rata-rata meningkat menjadi 82,05% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, atau mengalami kenaikan sebesar 57%. Sebanyak 70% mahasiswa berhasil mencapai indikator keberhasilan dengan menguasai aspek attending, empati, summarizing, bertanya, konfrontasi, dan problem solving. Metode Experiential Learning terbukti efektif dalam mengembangkan kompetensi praktis konselor pemula melalui transformasi pemahaman kognitif menjadi keterampilan perilaku nyata serta mengurangi kecemasan komunikasi selama proses konseling.
