Abstract

This study aims to know teachers’ creativity in increasing students’ engagement on Islamic cultural history learning in MTs PP Al-Washliyah Cape Haloban, and the supporting and hindering factors of teachers’ creativity as well as teachers’ learning strategies in increasing students’ engagement. The study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and inference drawing. The result of this study is to show that teachers’ creativity in increasing students’ activity is classified quite well. Because SKI teachers are able to design and prepare teaching materials, manage classes, peta use creative learning media is possible. The creativity of SKI teachers in enhancing students’ activity was influenced by several Supporting factors namely: (1) means and infrastructure of madrasah, (2) Availability of support from co-teachers and principals, (3) having adequate classrooms or study rooms. So that teachers are able to increase their creativity in improving students. Teachers’ strategies for increasing student activity are in the development of an engaging learning environment that includes creating a creative classroom design, mapping the classroom by changing students’ seating positions into groups, and inviting students to be active. With a good learning environment can affect student activity.

Abstract

Abstract Practical worship learning is an essential aspect of Islamic religious education aimed at shaping students’ character and enhancing their understanding of the correct and Sharia-compliant ways to perform worship. This study aims to describe the practical worship learning process for students at MTS Al-Muklisin Huta III Petani Barat and to analyze the effectiveness of the methods used in the learning process. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that practical worship learning at MTS Al-Muklisin has been conducted using a direct and routine practice approach that actively involves students. Demonstration and hands-on practice methods proved effective in improving students’ skills and understanding of practical worship. However, there are some obstacles, such as limited facilities and learning time, which need to be addressed to optimize learning. This study recommends the development of more innovative learning methods and facility support to make practical worship learning more effective and meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of instructional technology in strengthening prayer education for students at MTs Teladan Ujung Kubu, with a particular emphasis on its pedagogical impact on students’ cognitive understanding, practical accuracy, and worship awareness. Employing a qualitative approach through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, this research offers a contextual analysis of how digital learning tools are integrated into Islamic religious instruction. The findings demonstrate that the use of instructional technology such as audiovisual prayer simulations, digital prayer guides, and online religious learning resources significantly enhances students’ comprehension of prayer procedures, improves the precision of prayer movements and recitations, and increases students’ engagement in learning activities. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on technology-mediated prayer education at the madrasah level, highlighting how interactive and visual-based digital tools transform abstract religious instruction into concrete and experiential learning. Despite these positive impacts, the study identifies persistent challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, variations in teachers’ digital literacy, insufficient institutional support, and unequal student access to devices. Therefore, this study contributes to Islamic education discourse by emphasizing the need for systematic optimization of instructional technology to foster not only conceptual mastery but also internalized worship practices through contextual, interactive, and student-centered digital learning approaches.
