Abstract

The teacher is the most important component in learning. So that a teacher is required to have pedagogic abilities and master the material (content). These two abilities are often combined into new knowledge called Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing the initial profile of the PCK and cognitive abilities of Physics teacher prospective students. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative with a multiple choice test instrument to analyze and describe the initial profile of the PCK and cognitive abilities of prospective physics teachers in core physics learning. The subjects of this study were 18 students of the Physics Education Study Program even semester 2022/2023. Based on the research, it can be concluded that in several indicators, the pedagogical knowledge of prospective teacher students is still weak and there needs to be improvement, especially in determining appropriate learning strategies. Regarding knowledge of core physics material, students still experience many misconceptions as shown by the low average scores of almost all indicators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out: (1) the implementation of the Children Learning In Science learning model for class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate on temperature, (2) the results of learning physics for class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate. using the Children Learning In Science learning model; and (3) the effect of using the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) Learning Model on the Physics Learning Outcomes of Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate on Temperature Material. Tests of student learning outcomes and observation tables of learning and educational activities are used as aids in this research. Inferential descriptive statistical data analysis and t-test were used as data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Observation table of analysis of teacher learning activities on the application of Children Learning In Science learning in class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate in the subject of temperature is in the very high category; (2) The test results of class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate on temperature material taught using the Children's Learning In Science learning model used in this study can improve student learning outcomes and are in the high category; (3) the children's science learning model is very effective in improving the learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate in the subject of temperature. The conclusion in the research is that because the Children Learning In Science learning model can improve high learning outcomes, it is hoped that researchers/teachers will then conduct further research using the Children Learning In Science learning model according to the material to be taught

Abstract

Keterampilan literasi sains tetap menjadi tantangan utama untuk ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran yang aktif. Model pembelajaran RQA (reading, questioning, and answering ) merupakan model pembelajaran aktif yang menekankan pada kegiatan membaca, bertanya, dan menjawab pertanyaan yang diharapkan akan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model RQA terhadap peningkatakan keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik pada materi kinematika gerak lurus. Penelitian ini menggunakan model rancangan penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SMAN 10 Kota Ternate tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Variabel bebas pada penelitianini yaitu Model RQA dan variabel terikat yaitu keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik. Populasi seluruh kelas XI MIPA tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu dua kelas sebagai kelas penelitian dengan perlakuan eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes keterampilan literasi sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains fisika siswa pada materi kinematika gerak lurus domain kompetensi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing – masing sebesar 70,7 % dan 56,27 %
