Abstract

The cities which predicted to be the golden triangle are Yogyakarta, Solo, and Semarang. The three cities work together within the scope of DIY - Central Java. The analysis techniques applied and used in this research are Location Quotient, Shift Share and Klassen Typology. This research is conducted to know the superior sectors that may have an impact both internally and externally. The results of this research are that in these three cities or the golden triangle in Joglosemar, eight sectors based on Location Quotient analysis which are the processing industry sector, electricity and gas supply, water supply, waste handling, waste, and recycling; providing facilities as well as food; information and communication; financial and insurance services; housing; company services; government administration, defence and compulsory social security. Through the Shift Share analysis, these three cities have different sectors. For Yogyakarta, the growing and influential sector is the sector in providing facilities and food. However, in Semarang, there is a sector of electricity and gas supply; transportation and warehousing; housing; company services; education services; along with several other services that cannot be mentioned. In Solo itself, the growing and influencing sectors are the health services sector and social activities.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out the influence between the economic growth, education, unemployment, and poverty in Malang City from 2005 to 2019. Secondary data of the study was obtained through the Central Bureau of Statistics website in East Java and Malang City. The method used was quantitative research using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model. From the results of the study can be concluded that economic growth has a positive and significant impact on poverty in Malang City. This is known according to t count more than t table (2.668 ≥ 2.201) and the significance level of 0.022. On the other hand, education cannot significantly influence the poverty in Malang City with the t count less than t table (1.309 ≤ 2.201) and seen from the significance level of 0.217. Meanwhile, unemployment has a positive and significant impact on the poverty in Malang City seen from the t count more than t table (6.052 ≥ 2.201) and from the significance level of 0.000.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out about the effects of economic growth, distric minimum wages, and unemployment on poverty in Madiun Regency in 2002-2019. This research utilizes secondary data sources which are data collected by researchers through the statistical center of East Java and Madiun. By adopting a quantitatibe approach method through multiple linear regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model. This study is able to show an increase in the economy along with the distric minimum wage,so that the influence variabel of economic growth and distric minimum wages on poverty in Madiun Regency is considered to have a significant effect and negative. However, unemployment variabel on poverty in Madiun doesn’t have a significant effect.

Abstract

Development of an increasingly complex area in the era of regional autonomy resulting in interstate competition becomes tighter. For the welfare of the community to remain stable and even incresing, local governments must improve the competitiveness of their territory. This study aims to identify economic sectors that will be the priority of regional development based on regional influence, regional specialization, and competitive advantage of economic sector in DIY Province. This study uses to determine the leading sectors in the regional economy of Sleman Regency and Gunungkidul Regency. The data collection techniques used in this study were BPS data and related literature. The sample in this study used 17 economic sectors in GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) of Sleman Regency and Gunungkidul Regency. Technical data analysis in this study using Shift Share analysis, Location Quotient, and Klassen’s Typology. Based on the three analysis, it was found that the Accommodation and Food and Drink sectors were the leading sectors in Sleman Regency. And the Other Services sector is the leading sector of Gunungkidul Regency.

Abstract

The study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of economic growth, unemployment, poverty on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Bojonegoro Regency for the period 2002 to 2019. Secondary data for this research were obtained through the websites of the East Java and Bojonegoro Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Quantitative research methods are used and use Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model. It can be concluded that economic growth does not have a significant effect on the HDI of Bojonegoro Regency. It is known that based on tcount less than ttable (0.861 ≤ 1.761), besides that, it is seen from the significance level, namely 0.404. Unemployment has not been able to significantly influence HDI in Bojonegoro Regency with the t value less than t table (1.137 ≤ 1.761). while poverty can significantly affect HDI in Bojonegoro Regency, seen from the value of t count more than t table (3.404 ≥ 1.761).
