Abstract

Increased ownership of population data can be supported by the availability of up-to-date population data that can be implemented through the KALIMASADA program. The purpose of the KALIMASADA program is to realize the updating of population data as an effort to achieve orderly population administration. Based on the problems found, namely the existence of residents who have not been in an orderly manner in population administration, the MSIB participants will carry out the KALIMASADA program in several RTs that have been designated as KALIMASADA pilot RTs. This service activity is carried out through the provision of outreach and consultation to the Head of the RT, KSH, and Residents door to door regarding the importance of population administration. Then carry out a survey of residents who are included in population data that is not up-to-date to then be assisted in submitting the population administration file. The implementation of optimizing the updating of population data is also assisted by the Head of the RT, where the Heads of the RT provide information to their citizens through the WhatsApp group. The results of this KALIMASADA activity are considered effective and successful because many residents participate in the management of the population administration file. The applicant for submitting this file is not only from citizen data included in the five population data scopes that are not up-to-date, but other residents also participate in updating their population data. So that with many residents who are aware of population administration, it can create an orderly population administration quickly and effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness and factors influencing the export volume of Indonesian Arabica coffee (HS Code 0901.11.10) to Japan during the 2008–2023 period. The methods used include the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis to measure competitiveness and the Error Correction Model (ECM) to evaluate the effects of production, exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar, and international coffee prices on export volume. The findings indicate that Indonesian coffee has strong competitiveness in the Japanese market (RCA > 1). Coffee production has a positive and significant effect on export volume in both the short and long term. The exchange rate shows a significant negative impact in the long term but is insignificant in the short term. International coffee prices have a significant negative effect, reflecting Japan’s sensitivity to price changes. The ECM model reveals that short-term imbalances are significantly corrected within one period. Policy implications include enhancing coffee productivity, maintaining exchange rate stability, strengthening trade diplomacy aligned with quality standards, and diversifying export markets.

Abstract

Persons with disabilities in Indonesia still face significant challenges in achieving independence due to discriminatory views and limited access to various services, including assistive devices. In Surabaya City, with a substantial number of persons with disabilities, the Social Services Department of Surabaya City, through its social rehabilitation program, strives to improve their quality of life by distributing assistive devices. This program involves systematic stages, starting from receiving reports, conducting field surveys, measuring assistive devices, to distributing aid to recipients in need. The program successfully distributed various assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs, with a total of 254 units during the writer's internship period (September 23 - December 31, 2024). As a result, recipients demonstrated significant improvements in independence, both in carrying out daily activities and in interacting with others. Additionally, the families of the recipients also experienced benefits in the form of reduced burdens, as family members who were previously fully dependent now have greater abilities to manage their own needs. This program is expected to continue to grow and provide further solutions to help build an inclusive and empowered society for persons with disabilities in Surabaya.
