Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa Tuna Grahita melalui pendampingan sistematis, pengembangan keterampilan berpikir dan pemecahan masalah. Pelaksanan pengabdian ini di SLB Negeri Kebayakan Aceh Tengah dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa Tuna Grahita. Pelaksanaan program ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan service learning denga hasil pengabdian meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan motivasi mereka dalam belajar, hasil lainnya menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dan memancing aktivitas belajar siswa dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar inklusif.

Abstract

Learning methods play an essential role in achieving learning objectives; one of the learning methods is the demonstration method by demonstrating items, events, rules, and sequences of carrying out activities, either directly or through the use of teaching media relevant to the subject or material presented. In the prophet Adam AS a story, there is a demonstration method. The purpose of this study is to describe the demonstration method as an educative interaction in two-way communication in the story of Prophet Adam AS. This study uses a library research method. The data is collected in the form of primary and secondary data from verses of the Qur'an, Hadith, and expert opinions, and then the data is analyzed using content analysis. This study found a concept in the form of a demo method that Adam used in explaining the names of all things. This shows that educative interactions are built with nuances full of methods to teach students. In addition, to teach students need first to change students' perceptions of the material and learning objectives.

Abstract

This service activity entitled "Cognitive Intervention and Support Services for Students with Special Educational Needs at SLBN Kebayakan Aceh Tengah" aims to provide support and improve cognitive abilities for students with special needs. The goal is more specifically focused on assisting and strengthening the cognitive abilities of students with special needs at the Kebayakan State Special School in Central Aceh by finding learning solutions that are effective for students with special needs. Systematic mentoring methods, focus on developing students' thinking, concentration, and problem-solving skills and increasing teachers' pedagogical abilities in implementing learning. The implementation of this program is carried out using a service learning approach which involves various interactive activities designed to meet students' individual needs, as well as increase their self-confidence and motivation in learning. The results of this activity show an increase in student's cognitive abilities, as well as increased involvement and active participation in the teaching and learning process. With this program, it is hoped that it can create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special needs so that they can optimize their potential. It is hoped that the results of this service will become the basis for developing similar programs in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Prophet's teaching method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its impact on the formation of student character at SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan. Departing from the urgency of character education, this study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation from teachers, students, and vice principals. The results of the study show that PAI teachers in this school dominantly apply the five main methods of the Prophet, namely exemplary (uswatun hasanah), gradual, discussion and question and answer, giving advice (mau'izah), and motivation and threats (targhib and tarhib). These methods have proven to be effective in shaping students' religious character, improving understanding of Islamic teachings, and creating an interactive learning environment. The success of the implementation is supported by the creativity and example of teachers, student activity, and full support of the school. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced include low interest in reading students, the passive attitude of some students, and lack of supervision over the use of technology. Overall, this study shows that the teaching method of the Prophet not only relevant, but also highly applicable in the context of formal education to shape the character of students in the modern era. The results of this study contribute to the development of an effective PAI learning model oriented towards the formation of noble morals.
