Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of application of liquid bio-slurry organic fertilizer and kinds of organic mulch on the cultivation of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) Jeno F1 varieties.. This research was conducted from November to February 2020 in Kuncen Waru Village, Baki District, Sukoharjo Regency. This study used an environmental design with a basic pattern Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of 2 treatment factors with 9 treatment combinations and repeated 3 times. The first treatment factor, giving mulch (M) consisting of 3 levels M1 = straw mulch M2 = reed mulch and M3 = bamboo leaf mulch, the second treatment factor, giving concentration of bio-slurry liquid (S) consisting of 3 levels S1 = 5 ml bio-slurry/ liter water, S2 = 10 m bio-slurry / liter water and S3 = 15 ml bio-slurry / liter water. The results of this study indicate that the treatment of organic mulch has a very significant effect on the weight of fruit per plant, the number of fruits per plant and the fresh weight per plant, and also has a significant effect on the dry weight per plant. Liquid bio-slurry fertilizer has a very significant effect on fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant and fresh weight per plant, and also has a significant effect on dry weight per plant. The best combination is M1S3 straw organic mulch treatment and bio-slurry 15 ml / liter of water. This gives the highest yield in the parameters of plant height 59.89 cm, fruit weight per plant 146.54 g, number of fruits per plant 6.56, fruit diameter 5.06 cm, fresh biomass weight per plant 62.20 g, and weight dry biomass per plant 39.06 g. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the inoculation of antagonistic biological agents in controlling stem rot disease caused by the pathogenic fungus Fusarium spp., and to increase the growth of fig stem cuttings (Ficus carica L.). This research was conducted at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Batik Surakarta (UIBS), from September 2020 to December 2020. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD)., with 6 types of treatment, consisting of control, Trichoderma, Gliocladium, Corynebacterium, PGPR, and synthetic fungicide Mancozeb as a comparison, with 3 repetitions and 3 sub-repetitions. Observations consisted of several parameters, namely: disease incubation period, disease incidence, disease severity, shoot growth period, shoot height, leaf number, leaf area, root length, and number of roots. The results showed that Trichoderma treatment gave the best results for all observed parameters, even better than Mancozeb which is usually used by farmers. This is because Trichoderma has the ability of antagonistic in the form of very aggressive competition, producing antibiotic, and mycoparasitic mechanism against the pathogenic fungus Fusarium spp., so its utilization can be applied in organic farming to control stem rot disease which is more environmentally friendly. Trichoderma can also be used as biofertilizer because it has the ability as a good biodecomposer, its can breakdown nitrogen nutrients, dissolve phosphate, and provide micro nutrients, and even release the hormones auxin, cytokinins and ethylene, so that its effectiveness can stimulate and increase vegetative growth of fig plants in the form of shoots, leaves and roots. Keywords: fig, Fusarium spp., biological agent, Trichoderma, Mancozeb

Abstract

ABSTRACK The study was titled Kailan (Brassica oleraceae var acephala) Growth And Yield at Concentration of Plant Growth Promotion Rhizobacteria (PGPR) And Other Planting Media One of The Tehnic Empowerment Farmers. It has been held in November 2019 until January 2020 in Kondo Hamlet, Balong Village, Jenawi District, Karanganyar Regency. This study uses a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) method consisting of 2 treatment factors first is a kind of planted media (M) consists of 3 kinds, namely: soil media, straw compost and goat manure (M1), soil media straw compost and cow manure (M2), soil media, straw compost and chicken manure (M3) . The second factor is the concentration of PGPR (K) consisting of 3 treatment concentrations of PGPR 0 ml / l water (K0), PGPR concentration of 15 ml / l of water (K1), concentration of PGPR 30m l / l of water (K2). The results showed that the variety of planting media has a very different effect on the number of leaves, the weight of wet clusters, and has a real effect on the weight of consumption and volume of leaves and has no real effect on the height of plants. PGPR concentration treatment is very influential on leaf volume, has a real effect on leaf count, consumption weight, high plant, but has no noticeable effect on wet trapping weight. Interaction of various planting media and PGPR concentration shows no noticeable effect on the number of leaves per plant, consumption weight, wet weight, height of plants and leaf volume. The variety of planted media and PGPR concentration to the growth and yield of kailan plants is shown in the parameters of heavy wet weight consumption weight (46.97 g) obtained in the combination of treatment M2K1 (mixed media soil, straw compost and manure cattle, with a concentration of PGPR 15 ml / l water). The weight of the slimmest consumption (21.15 g), obtained in the combination of M1K0 treatment (mixed media of soil, straw compost and goat manure, with a PGPR concentration of 0 ml / litre of water). Keywords: Kailan, planting media, PGPR.
