Abstract

Cyberbullying is a form of psychological violence that occurs through digital media and has become increasingly prevalent among students. This study aims to examine behavior modification strategies for preventing cyberbullying. This review employs a literature-based approach, analyzing articles published between 2015 and 2024. The findings indicate that cyberbullying has distinct characteristics compared to conventional bullying, particularly in terms of method, intensity, and psychosocial impact. Factors influencing both perpetrators and victims include individual psychological traits, family dynamics, peer pressure, and the school climate. Effective prevention strategies involve responsive counseling-based interventions, strengthening of digital literacy, and collaboration between schools, families, and communities. This research recommends the development of value- and technology-based guidance programs as a preventive and promotive effort to create a safe and empathetic school environment.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage marked by physical, emotional, and social transitions, during which conformity to peer norms frequently emerges as a dominant behavioral pattern. While moderate conformity can foster social skills and prosocial behavior, excessive conformity often undermines adolescents’ self-concept and autonomy, leading to negative outcomes, such as bullying, substance use, and diminished academic achievement. This study examined the effectiveness of assertive training techniques in mitigating negative conformity behavior among adolescents. Employing a qualitative literature review, 145 articles published between 2019 and 2024 were initially identified through Google Scholar, with eight articles meeting the inclusion criteria for an in-depth analysis. The findings consistently reveal that assertive training techniques enhance adolescents’ ability to resist peer pressure, improve interpersonal communication, strengthen self-concept, and reduce dependency on social approval. The review highlights three critical factors shaping the success of assertive training interventions: (1) individual factors, such as self-confidence and interpersonal skills; (2) environmental factors, including supportive group dynamics in counselling settings; and (3) methodological factors, such as structured role-play, simulations, and staged training implementation. Complementary approaches, such as sociodrama, have also been found to be effective in addressing conformity by fostering awareness of group dynamics. Despite promising outcomes, the reviewed studies faced methodological limitations, including small sample sizes and limited control group comparisons. This study underscores the potential of assertive training as a preventive and corrective counselling strategy to address adolescent conformity, while also calling for future research employing more rigorous experimental designs to strengthen the empirical evidence and broaden practical applications in educational and counselling contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) Evaluation is a process conducted to assess the quality of Guidance and Counseling implementation and ensure that the program is in line with the established objectives. System support includes BK management, professional development for counselors, and collaboration with parents, teachers, and the broader community. This study aims to analyze the gaps in the implementation of system support at SMA IT Al-Multazam 2 Linggajati using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM). The research method employed is a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data was collected using a system support evaluation instrument based on a Likert scale of 1-7, which includes 26 statement items, while qualitative data was gathered through in-depth interviews with two BK teachers. The results of the study showed that the implementation of system support at SMA IT Al-Multazam 2 Linggajati had an average score of 176, or 97%, placing it in the very good category. However, qualitative analysis revealed three main issues: (1) administrative workload reducing the intensity of student services, (2) lack of ongoing professional development mechanisms, and (3) collaboration with parents/community that remains reactive.

Abstract

This study narratively examines the effectiveness of Cognitive Restructuring in group counseling as a strategy to reduce career anxiety among Islamic senior high school students. As a core technique within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Restructuring focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns into more rational and adaptive cognitions. Using a narrative review design, six empirical studies published between 2019–2024 were analyzed thematically, selected from Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Portal Garuda based on relevance to adolescents and CBT interventions. The findings indicate that Cognitive Restructuring consistently enhances self-confidence, emotional regulation, self-acceptance, and academic resilience, which collectively reduce career anxiety. Theoretically, this study reinforces the importance of cognitive counseling approaches within Islamic education and suggests integrating Islamic spiritual values in counseling practices. Future research should empirically test Cognitive Restructuring’s quantitative impact on career anxiety and readiness among madrasah students.
