Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning difficulties of students with hearing impairments in solving story problems using the role playing method and using problem solving learning according to Polya, namely: understanding problems, determining problem strategy plans, solving problem strategies, and checking the answers obtained to understand story question are seen from four aspects, namely understanding story problems, making mathematical models, computations, and drawing conclusions. The subject of this study used 2 ABK students. The data were collected by means of interviews, tests and documentations. Data analysis was carried and by drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research students can understand story problems by applying role playing and problem solving methods, because learning becomes very fun and students can easily solve story problems. In addition, students experience some learning difficulties, namely difficulties in understanding the questions, difficulties in basic mathematical concepts, and difficulties in understanding the language that is conveyed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kognitif anak usia 11 tahun dalam menyelesaikan operasional konkret menurut tahap perkembangan kognitif piaget yaitu : mengurutkan, klasifikasi, decentering, reversibility, konservasi, dan penghilangan sifat egosentrisme. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan 7 anak usia kisaran 11 tahun. Pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode studi kasus dengan melihat hasil dari aktivitas siswa dan dengan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari ke 7 anak, tidak semua anak dapat menyelesaikan operasional konkret sesuai tahap perkembangan kognitif piaget.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the peer tutor method to the mathematics learning process of 5 deaf students in class X SMALB Negeri Slawi. The method used is the descriptive method. The data collection is done by testing, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion, which is the model of Miles and Huberman. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that peer tutors provide convenience for deaf students with below-average abilities in working on math problems. This is because deaf students get direction and assistance from deaf students who already understand and act as tutors so they can solve math problems. The application of the peer tutor method facilitates the learning process of deaf students. Students communicate with each other to assist, increase learning activity, and solve problems together it can affect the completeness of the learning outcomes of deaf students. In the learning process, peer tutors can be used as an alternatively appropriate and effective learning method, especially for deaf students.

Abstract

Rasa takut terhadap pelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu kendala yang dialami oleh siswa sekolah dasar (SD). Tidak hanya berdampak pada prestasi akademik, tetapi juga dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan emosional mereka. Artikel ini membahas fenomena tentang rasa takut terhadap Pelajaran matematika yang dialami siswa sekolah dasar di Bimbel Cerdas Ceria Brebes berdasarkan observasi dan pengalaman langsung saat proses pembelajaran di Bimbel Cerdas Ceria Brebes. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya motivasi dari orangtua dan guru, minimnya perhatian saat anak mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal matematika dan kurangnya apresiasi atas keberhasilan siswa merupakan factor munculnya rasa takut tersebut. Bimbel cerdas ceria memberikan Solusi dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berbasis permainan dan pemanfaatan tekhnologi interaktif untuk menciptakan suasana belajar aktif dan interaktif. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi rasa takut ssiswa dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta pemahaman konsep matematika. Peran aktif guru dan orangtua sangat penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang posiitif untuk membantu siswa mengurangi rasa takut terhadap matematika Kata kunci: matematika, motivasi belajar, pembelajaran berbasis permainan, rasa takut, siswa sekolah dasar
