Abstract

The Study was conducted on April to May 2019 in the coastal waters of Hukurila village, Leitimur Selatan District of Ambon city with the aims to analyzed taxon composition, species diversity, density, standing stock, potency of target species and status of reef fish. Reef fish data were collected at four reef stations using UVC method. The result showed that there were 192 species of reef fish inhabit coral reef of Hukurila village. Pomacentridae, Labridae and Chaetodontidae have high species richness, while other seven families have low species richness. Relative diversity of reef fish in the study area can be classified in poor to moderate category, and the estimated number of species of reef fish was 369 species. Species diversity of reef fish is high, with low species dominance in the community and species evenness of reef fish in their community is in stable condition. Density of reef fish between reef station ranged of 2.9-4.0 ind. m-2. Furthermore, the standing stock of reef fish ranged of 28,840-40,400 ind.ha-1 and biomass of target reef fish species ranged of 1.67-5.14 (± 3.53) tons ha-1 of coral reefs. Status of reef fish in the coral reef of Hukurila village belong to high category. ABSTRAK Penelitian dilakukan dari April sampai Mei 2019 di perairan pesisir Negeri Hukurila, Kecamatan Leitimur Selatan Kota Ambon dengan tujuan menganalisis komposisi taksa, diversitas spesies, densitas, sediaan cadang, potensi ikan karang spesies target dan status ikan karang. Data ikan karang dikumpulkan dari 4 stasiun dengan metode underwater visual census (UVC). Ditemukan 192 spesies ikan karang Menempati terumbu karang Hukurila. Famili Pomacentridae, Labridae, Chaetodontidae memiliki kekayaan spesies tinggi, sementara tujuh famili memiliki kekayaan spesies rendah. Diversitas relatif ikan karang di areal studi termasuk kategori miskin hingga moderat, dan diestimasi jumlah spesies ikan karang pada habitat terumbu Negeri Hukurila sebanyak 369 spesies. Diversitas spesies ikan karang tinggi, dengan dominansi spesies rendah dalam komunitas dan keserasian spesies ikan karang dalam kondisi Stabil. Densitas ikan karang antara stasiun terumbu berkisar antara 2.9 - 4.0 ind/m2. Sediaan cadang ikan karang antara stasiun terumbu berkisar antara 28.840 - 40.400 ind/ha dan potensi spesies target berkisar 1,67-5,14 (± 3,53) ton/ha terumbu karang. Abstract

Kotania Bay, West Seram Regency can be clarified as one of the unique bays because it has five smallest islands, which has the important potential coastal ecosystem resources. This bay’s status also has been assigned as a Coastal Conservation Area and Small Islands. These purposes of this research are 1) to know the sub-zone potential cultivation in Kotania Bay, and 2) to analyze and formulate the marine cultivation management strategy in Kotania Bay. The method of data collection used by the researcher are interviews and direct field observations. The data analysis used land suitability index to determine the potential cultivation space (seaweed, sea cucumbers, mangrove crabs and groupers), while the DPSIR is used to produce the marine culture management strategy in Kotania Bay. The potential marine cultivation in Kotania Bay is divided into three sub-zones cultivation with the total area 361,69 ha. The result of the research showed that the suitability of seaweed cultivation land obtained an S1 value of 66% (237.43 ha) and an S2 value of 34% (124.26 ha). The land suitability of the sea cucumber cultivation obtained an S1 value of 94% (340.65 ha) and an S2 value of 6% (21.04 ha). The suitability of cultivated land designated for mangrove crabs, especially the species of Scylla serrata, was obtained very suitable values ​​up to 100%. The cultivation activity for grouper fish obtained an S1 value of 93% (338.06 ha), while for an S2 value of 7% (23.63 ha). There are 11 recommended strategies for the management and development of marine cultivation activities in Kotania Bay. ABSTRAK Teluk Kotania Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai salah satu teluk yang unik karena memiliki lima pulau sangat kecil, serta memiliki potensi sumberdaya eksoistem pesisir penting. Teluk ini pun telah ditetapkan status sebagai Kawasan Konservasi Pesisir dan Pulau-Pulau Kecil (KKP3K). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui potensi ruang sub-zona budidaya di Teluk Kotania, dan 2) menganalisis dan menformulasikan strategi pengelolaan budidaya laut di Teluk Kotania. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi langsung di lapangan.Analisa data menggunakan indeks kesesuaian lahan untuk mengetahui potensi ruang budidaya (rumput laut, teripang, kepiting bakau dan ikan kerapu), sedangkan DPSIR digunakan untuk menghasilkan strategi pengelolaan budidaya laut di Teluk Kotania. Potensi wilayah budidaya laut di Teluk Kotania dibagi menjadi tiga sub zona budidaya dengan total luas 361,69 ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesesuaian lahan budidaya rumput laut diperoleh nilai S1 sebesar 66% (237,43 ha) dan nilai S2 sebesar 34% (124,26 ha). Kesesuaian lahan untuk budidaya teripang diperoleh nilai S1 sebesar 94% (340,65 ha) dan nilai S2 sebesar 6% (21,04 ha). Kesesuaian lahan budidaya yang diperuntukkan untuk kepiting bakau terutama spesies Scylla serrata diperoleh nilai sangat sesuai hingga 100%. Kegiatan budidaya untuk ikan kerapu diperoleh nilai S1 sebesar 93% (338,06 ha), sedangkan untuk nilai S2 sebesar 7% (23,63 ha).Terdapat 11 strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk pengelolan serta pengembangan kegiatan budidaya laut di Teluk Kotania. Abstract

The use of the coral ecosystem causes a systemic impact on that ecosystem. There are various types of coral reef ecosystem utilization, and the management of this ecosystem, therefore, needs a collaborative approach. The objective of this study was to identify the condition of coral reef, to identify types of utilization and its impact on the coral reef ecosystem and produce a collaborative management response towards the coral reef ecosystem. The research was conducted n July 2020 at the coral reef area of Biloro Village, Sub-district of Kapala Madang, Southern Buru. Field observation uses the Line Intercept Transect method for coral reef condition assessment, while the PRA approach to identify trigger factors, stress against the environment, the impact, and strategic adaptive response management. The collaborative method is a strategic adaptive response that conveys the system concept of socio-ecology, community capacity, and institutional empowerment in management integration. The result shows that on average coral reef ecosystem was in good condition. There are five responses collaborative management proposed explicitly education advocacy in the importance of coral reef, rehabilitation of degraded coral reef, the establishment of community controlling group, village by law, and the development of Toumahu Island marine tourist. ABSTRAK Pemanfaatan ekosistem terumbu karang memberikan dampak sistematis. Pengelolaan terumbu karang pada lokasi penelitian membutuhkan pendekatan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengindentifikasi kondisi karang, mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan dan dampaknya serta respon pengelolaan kolaboratif ekosistem terumbu karang. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus tahun 2020, pada kawasan terumbu karang Desa Biloro, Kecamatan Kapala Madan, Kabupaten Buru Selatan. Penelitian lapangan menggunakan metode LIT untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi terumbu karang, dan pendekatan PRA untuk mengidentifikasi faktor pemicu, tekanan terhadap lingkungan, status terumbu karang, dampak yang ditimbulkan, serta respon strategis dan adaptif. Pendekatan kolaboratif merupakan respon strategis-adaptif yang mengusung konsep sistem sosial-ekologis, penguatan kapasitas masyrakat, penguatan kelembagaan dalam pengelolaan, dan integrase pengelolaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan secara-rata-rata kondisi terumbu karang Desa Biloro tergolong baik. Lima usulan pengelolaan respon kolaboratif berupa sosialisasi pentingnya terumbu karang, rehabilitasi terumbu karang, pembentukan POKWASMAS, pembuatan aturan desa, dan pengembangan wisata bahari Pulau Toumahu. Abstract

Coral reef is one of the important coastal ecosystems that have high biodiversity. This study aims to analyze the composition of the taxa and the distribution of coral species, the ecological index of coral communities and the status of coral reefs. The research was conducted from April-May 2019 in the coastal waters of Hukurila Village, South Leitimur District, Ambon City. Collecting coral data by using the Line Intercept Transect (LIT) method. Determination of coral reef condition based on percent data (value) of coral reef cover. During the study, 116 species of stony coral from 49 genera and 16 families were found, which 50 species of them are protected and 23 species of ornamental coral. The similarity index of stony coral species between coral reef locations ranges from 0.52-0.76 or there is the similarity of stony coral species between locations coral reef in the amount of 52-76%. The coral reefs of Hukurila Village have high diversity of coral species, with a low dominance of coral species in the community, and the compatibility of coral species in the community is classified as stable. Acropora corals contributed a low covering percent value (9.98%), while Non-Acropora corals contributed a relatively high percent of covering value (43.56%). The status of coral reefs between locations in the coastal waters of Hukurila Village is in the criteria of good (healthy). ABSTRAK Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem pesisir penting yang emiliki kenanekaragaman hayati tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komposisi taksa dan sebaran spesies karang, indeks ekologi kominitas karang dan status terumbu karang. Penelitian dilakukan dari April-Mei 2019 di perairan pesisir Negeri Hukurila Kecamatan Leitimur Selatan Kota Ambon. Pengumpulan data karang menggunakan metode Line Intercept Transect (LIT). Penentuan kondisi terumbu karang berdasarkan data (nilai) persen penutupan karang batu. Selama penelitian ditemukan 116 spesies karang batu dari 49 genera dan 16 famili, dimana 50 spesies diantaranya dilindungi dan 23 spesies karang hias. Indeks similaritas spesies karang batu antar stasiun terumbu karang berkisar antara 0,52-0,76 atau terdapat kesamaan spesies karang batu antar lokasi terumbu karang sebesar 52-76%. Terumbu karang Negeri Hukurila memiliki diversitas spesies karang tinggi, dengan dominansi spesies karang rendah dalam komunitas, dan keserasian spesies karang dalam komunitas tergolong stabil. Karang Acropora memberi kontribusi nilai persen penutupan rendah (9,98%), sementara karang Non-Acropora memberi kontribusi nilai persen penutupan karang batu relatif tinggi (43,56%). Status terumbu karang antar stasiun terumbu perairan pesisir Negeri Hukurila berada dalam kriteria baik (sehat). Kata kunci: terumbu, karang batu, keragaman spesies, kesamaan, persen penutupan

Abstract

Economic valuation plays an important role as a comprehensive instrument to assess prices (price tags) on the existence of goods and services of an ecosystem. This research aims to analyze utilization conditions including utilization value, non-utilization value and total economic value of coral reef resources and formulate a strategy for managing the reef ecosystem of Warbal Island and surrounding waters. The research on the economic valuation of warbal island coral reef ecosystem and surrounding waters was conducted in July-November 2019. Primary data collection was done through field observations and interviews, while secondary data was obtained through references from the Village Government, Southeast Maluku Fisheries Service, WWF Indonesia and scientific publications. Data was analyzed using methods of analysis of total economic value from use valueand non-use value. Based on the results of the study obtained the total economic value of the utilization and non-utilization of coral reef resources in Warbal Island and surrounding waters reached IDR. 7.275.603.819/year. The value of utilization of coral reef resources of Warbal Island and surrounding waters amounted to IDR. 7.257.318.819/year, while the non-utilization value of coral reef resources amounted to IDR. 18.250.000/year. At least, there are 11 strategies and 22 management directives recommended for the management of Warbal Island coral reef resources and surrounding waters. ABSTRAK Valuasi ekonomi berperan penting sebagai instrument yang komperhensif untuk memberi penilaian harga (price tag) terhadap keberadaan barang dan jasa suatu ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisisnilai pemanfaatan, nilai non pemanfaatan dan nilai ekonomi total sumberdaya terumbu karang serta merumuskan strategi pengelolaan ekosistem terumbu kawasan Pulau Warbal dan perairan sekitarnya. Penelitian tentang valuasi ekonomi ekosistem terumbu karang Pulau Warbal dan perairan sekitarnya dilakukan pada Juli-Nopember 2019. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan melalui pengamatan lapangan dan wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui referensi dari Pemerintah Desa, Dinas Perikanan Maluku Tenggara, WWF Indonesia dan publikasi ilmiah. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis nilai ekonomi total dari use value dan non use value. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai ekonomi total dari pemanfaatan dan non pemanfaatan sumberdaya terumbu karang kawasan Pulau Warbal dan perairan sekitarnya mencapai Rp. 7.275.603.819/tahun. Nilai pemanfaatan sumberdaya terumbu karang Pulau Warbal dan perairan di sekitarnya sebesar Rp. 7.257.318.819/tahun, sedangkan nilai non pemanfaatan sumberdaya terumbu karang sebesar Rp. 18.250.000/tahun. Terdapat 11 strategi dan 22 arahan pengelolaan yang direkomendasikan untuk pengelolaan sumberdaya terumbu karang Pulau Warbal dan perairan di sekitarnya. Abstract

The development of awuaculture is significantly influenced by land suitability analysis. This research was conducted from May 2021-April 2022 in Inner Ambon Bay (IAB). This study aims to analyse physical, chemical and environmental factors, suitability and carring capacity of Bubara (Caranx sp) fish farming with Floating net Cages (FNC) system in Inner Ambon Bay. Physical and chemical environmental data were measured in-situ, and the land suitability matrix based on a weighting system was used to analyse the environmental suitability and carring capasity for awuaculture development. The IAB waters have potential for Bubara farming using bery suitable and suitable FNS System. The development of bubara aquaculture with FNC system in IAB waters is in two classes, very suitable to the area range of 1046,30-1113,32 ha and suitable to the area range of 2,25-65,68 ha depending on the season. The carring capacity of the land for placing FNC in the fish farm bubara is about 1.667 units in the west season, about 1.669 units in the transition season I, about 1.670 units in the eastern season and about 1.673 units in the second transition season II. The carring capacity of highly suitable land (waters) is higher (1.568-1.670 units) than that of suitable land (3-98 units). Some of the activities that can reduce the carring capacity of the IAB aquatic environment for fish farming with the FNC are industrial and ship waste disposal, garbage, coastal reclamation, sedimentation, agricultural waste and waste from microorganisms. ABSTRAK Analisis kesesuaian lahan sangat berperan penting dalam pengembangan budidaya perairan. Penelitian ini berlangsung pada bulan Mei 2021-April 2022 yang berlokasi di perairan Teluk Ambon Dalam. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis faktor-faktor lingkungan fisik, kimia, serta kesesuaian dan daya dukung lahan untuk budidaya ikan bubara (Caranx sp) dengan sistem KJA di perairan Teluk Ambon Dalam. Data lingkungan biofisik diukur secara insitu, dan matriks kesesuaian lahan berdasarkan sistem pembobotan digunakan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian dan data dukung lingkungan untuk pengembangan budidaya. Perairan Teluk Ambon Dalam memiliki potensi untuk budidaya ikan bubara dengan sistem KJA yang Sangat Sesuai dan Sesuai. Pengembangan budidaya ikan bubara dengan sistem KJA di perairan TAD berada pada dua kelas yaitu Sangat Sesuai dengan kisaran luasan berkisar 1046,29-1113,32 ha, dan kelas Sesuai dengan luasa berkisar 2,25-65,68 ha berdasarkan musim. DAya dukung lahan untuk penempatan KJA dalam budidaya ikan bubara pada musim barat sekitar 1.667 unit, pada musim peralihan I sekitar 1.669 unit, pada musim timur sekitar 1.670 unit, dan pada musim peralihan II sekitar 1.673 unit. Daya dukung lahan (perairan) kelas Sangat Sesuai lebih besar (1.568-1.670 unit KJA) dibandingkan dengan daya dukung lahan dengan kelas kategori Sesuai (3-98 unit KJA. Beberapa aktivitas yang dapat menurunkan daya dukung lingkungan perairan TAD untuk budidaya ikan dengan sistem KJA adalah limbah industri dan pembuangan limbah kapal, sampah, reklamasi pantai, sedimentasi, limbah pertanian, dan limbah mikroorganisme. Abstract

The presence of fish larvae is one of the main factors for the sustainability of fish resources. Information on the potential of fish larvae is very useful for the conservation of fish resources. This study aims to analyze species composition (richness), individual abundance, the relationship of fish larvae abundance with physical-chemical parameters and formulate strategies and priorities for fish larvae management. The research was conducted in August and October at 8 stations. Potential data were analyzed using diversity index, uniformity index, dominance, and abundance of fish larvae. PCA analysis was used to assess the relationship between water quality parameters and fish larvae abundance. SWOT and AHP analysis were used to formulate management strategies and priorities. Based on the results, 9 genus/species of fish larvae belonging to 9 families, 5 orders of Class Osteichtyes were obtained. The abundance of fish larvae was highest in October. Serranus sp. and Siganus sp. larvae had high individual abundance. The parameters salinity, water temperature, current speed, PO4, SiO3, pH, water brightness, and DO have a correlation (+), meaning that these water quality parameters had a directly proportional relationship with fish larvae abundance. Eight strategies were formulated, with two primary priorities for the potential development of fish larvae in Kotania Bay waters, three secondary priorities and three tertiary priorities. ABSTRAK Keberadaan larva ikan merupakan salah satu faktor utama kelestarian sumberdaya ikan. Informasi tentang potensi larva ikan sangat berguna bagi kelestarian sumberdaya ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komposisi (kekayaan) spesies, kelimpahan individu, hubungan kelimpahan larva ikan dengan parameter fisik-kimia dan merumuskan strategi serta prioritas pengelolaan larva ikan. Penelitian dilakukan pada Agustus dan Oktober di 8 stasiun. Analisa data potensi menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman, dominansi, dan kelimpahan larva ikan. Analisis PCA digunakan untuk mengkaji hubungan parameter kualitas air dengan kelimpahan larva ikan. Analisis SWOT dan AHP digunakan untuk merumuskan strategi dan prioritas pengelolaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh 9 genus/spesies larva ikan yang termasuk dalam 9 famili, 5 Ordo dari Class Osteichtyes. Kelimpahan larva ikan tertinggi pada bulan Oktober. Larva ikan Serranus sp. dan Siganus sp. memiliki kelimpahan individu tinggi. Parameter salinitas, suhu air, kecepatan arus, PO4, SiO3, pH, kecerahan air, dan DO memiliki korelasi (+), yang berarti parameter kualitas perairan itu memiliki hubungan berbanding lurus dengan kelimpahan larva ikan.
