Abstract

The Nuruwe waters are oceanic waters with a considerable amount of fisheries resources and a potential for tourism in natural and aquaculture tourism. This research aimed to analyze the characteristics of the physical and chemical parameters as a limiting factor for the site selection of seaweed cultivation in Nuruwe waters and analyze land suitability of seaweed cultivation based on its criteria and determine the area of cultivation. A random sampling technique was applied to the data collection of marine environmental parameters. Data were analyzed using a spatial analysis with GIS techniques and carrying capacity analysis. The spatial analysis was used to determine the land suitability of seaweed cultivation based on the site selection criteria. The results showed that water quality parameters were suitable to support seaweed cultivation with the longline system. The effective area is ± 10 ha, with the number of longlines that can be placed as many as 20 units. ABSTRAK Perairan Nuruwe merupakan perairan oseanis dan juga perairan dengan potensi perikanan yang cukup melimpah serta terdapat potensi wisata baik dalam wisata alam maupun wisata budidaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) menganalisis karakteristik parameter fisika-kimia sebagai faktor pembatas kesesuaian lokasi budidaya rumput laut di perairan Nuruwe, serta 2) menganalisis kesesuaian lahan budidaya rumput laut berdasarkan kriteria kesesuaian lahan dan menentukan luasan lahan budidaya. Metode pengambilan data parameter lingkungan perairan dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis spasial untuk menentukan kesesuaian lahan menggunakan GIS berdasarkan kriteria kelayakan budidaya rumput laut dan analisis daya dukung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh parameter kualitas air yang diukur layak atau sesuai untuk mendukung kegiatan budidaya sistem longline di perairan Nuruwe. Kesesuaian lahan budidaya rumput laut dengan sistem longline di perairan Nuruwe tergolong sesuai (S2). Luasan lahan yang efektif sebesar ± 10 ha dengan jumlah sebanyak 20 unit longline. Abstract

Remote sensing technology has developed very rapidly and has a very significant role in the fisheries and marine sector as a provider of data and information. Liliboy Country is a coastal village located on the island of Ambon which has very productive waters with potential for fishing activities. This Community Service is made in the form of counseling, with the aim of introducing technological knowledge and providing information about fishing areas, as well as developing skills for the fishermen of Liliboy village to get more effective and efficient catches. It is hoped that the fishing community of Liliboy village will understand the use of sensing technology to determine fishing areas so that it will grow the community's economy and improve the welfare of life

Abstract

Tuna fishing is one of the main livelihoods of the people of Wakasihu Village, in West Leihitu District. The impact of climate change and other external factors makes it difficult to determine potential tuna fishing areas in the waters. As a solution, the Department of Marine Science, Pattimura University has disseminated information on the Application of Satellite Remote Sensing and Acoustic Technology to Improve Fishermen's Economy. The results of the implementation of the activities were obtained (1) The desire of the tuna fishing community to use both technologies in tuna fishing operations, (2) Formation of a tuna fishing group to facilitate the processing of the KUSUKA Fisherman Card and obtaining assistance from the Marine and Fisheries Agency of Maluku Province, (3) Desire entered into an MoU with the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Pattimura University to solve fisheries problems in Wakasihu Village.

Abstract

Maluku is one of the archipelagic provinces which is famous for its sea area. The diversity of resources in Maluku needs to be optimally managed. However, there are various pressures on the marine environment due to irresponsible use, it requires human resources who are experts and skilled in managing the potential of these resources. Informal education in the form of counseling and community service will be very beneficial, especially for the younger generation (students). This counseling activity aims to provide students with knowledge about economically important gastropod resources in Maluku. The method used is the delivery of extension materials in order to introduce the marine and coastal environment, the types of gastropods and their benefits. This activity was focused on students in grades 5 and 6. The counseling activity was held on September 15 2022 at SDN 170 Central Maluku - Asilulu school. In general, the students were very interested in this counseling activity. This is evidenced by the interaction of questions and answers with the students. They have been able to understand the importance of maintaining economically important gastropod resources and maintaining their sustainability through practical knowledge about understanding the utilization of available resources.

Abstract

Perairan pantai Waiheru meruapan pesisir pantai dengan aktivitas yang cukup tinggi.Adanya pemukiman penduduk yang padat di sekitar pesisir dan juga dekat dengan kebun sayur, mengakibatkan pesisir ini juga mengalami tekanan. Banyaknya pencemar pada air akan menyebabkan menurunnya kadar oksigen terlarut dalam air sehingga akan mengakibatkan penurunan sumberdaya alam perairan tersebut. Salah satu sumberdaya yang tinggal di pesisir pantai adalah gastropoda.Gastropoda umumnya dapat menggambarkan kondisi perairan, sehingga keberadaannya dapat dijadikan indikator penentu kualitas perairan..Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragamn gastropoda dan kondisi perairan pantai Waiheru.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun 2022 padapesisir perairan Waiheru dengan menggunkan metode belt transek. Jarak antara transek 50 m. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi 3 bagian yaitu pengambilan data insitu, analisa laboratorium dan analisa keragaman gastropoda, metode STORET dan metode ABC. Pesisir pantai Waiheru merupakan lokasi pesisir yang memiliki aktivitas yang tinggi, antara lain aktivitas bameti, aktivitas pemukiman dan kebun sayur di sekitar pesisir Hasil analisa ditemukan bahwa pesisir Waiheru terdapat 14 spesies dengan spesies Nerita squamulata memiliki kepadatan tertinggi (1.93 ind/m2). Pesisir Waiheru mempunyai indeks H dalam kategori sedang.Untuk indeks Evenes atau keseragaman terlihat bahwa pesisir Waiheru masuk dalam kategori rendah.Indeks dominansi spesies pesisir Waiheru tidak ada dominasi spesies.Hasil analisa hubungan sifat fisik kima air laut yang dihubungkan dengan metode STORET menunjukan bahwa pesisir Waiheru digolongkan dalam kelas C dan dikategorikan tercemar sedang. Kurva ABC menggambarkan lokasi pesisir Halong termasuk kategori perairan yang tercemar sedang.
