Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pengawet alami larutan atung (Parinarium glaberimum, Hassk) pada pencucian daging merah dari limbah produksi tuna loin asal Parigi Wahai Seram Utara dan konsentrasi tepung terhadap kualitas dan nilai kalori bakso ikan. Perlakuan pencucian dengan larutan atung (A1) menghasilkan kualitas bakso ikan yang lebih baik dengan  kadar air 68,50%, protein 17,63%, kadar lemak 0,54%, karbohidrat 10,58%, kandungan TPC 1,35x104  koloni dengan nilai kalori  118,6 kkal.  Perlakuan konsentrasi tepung tapioka 15% (B1) menghasilkan kualitas bakso ikan dengan  kadar air 68,50%, protein 18,73%, kadar lemak 0,59%, karbohidrat 10,25%, dengan nilai kalori  120,3 kkal.  Interaksi perlakuan pencucian dengan larutan atung dengan konsentrasi tepung tapioka 15% (A1B1) menghasilkan kualitas bakso ikan dengan  kadar air 68,60%, protein 19,19%, kadar lemak 0,48%, karbohidrat 10,03%, dengan nilai kalori  120,4 kkal.

Abstract

Contaminants entering marine systemts have become environmental issues because of their significantly negative impacts. Coasts of Rumah Tiga Village are connected to Ambon Bay and provide marine habitats and tourist attractions due to their location close to Merah Putih Bridge (including recreations, restaurants and aquaculture sites). These human related activities contribute to the discharge of wastes into marine waters. Due to their location at inshore outer Ambon Bay, marine pollutants from the bay tend to be applied at the location. Because of the concentrated pollutants at the location, the coasts of Rumah Tiga Village are a suitable location to conduct beach clean-ups in Ambon Bay. The beach clean-up activities also aim to allow Study Program of Marine Science of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Pattimura University to raise awareness to its students and local community to care for environment.

Abstract

Gafrarium tumidum species on Ambon Island can be found in the mangrove ecosystem areas of Rutong Country and Waai Country, when sea water conditions recede the people of Rutong Country and Waai Country often use G. tumidum species for consumption. The purpose of this study is to determine the density and distribution pattern of G. tumidum, know the habitat conditions and know the relationship between the abundance of G. tumidum and its habitat characteristics. The process of collecting data on mangrove conditions, Gafrarium tumidum species and environmental parameters was carried out using the Stratified Random Sampling method. Data collection of mangrove canopy cover was carried out using a simple Hemispherical Photography method. The highest density of G. tumidum is found in Waai Country with a distribution pattern of G. tumidum in Rutong Country has a uniform distribution pattern and in Waai Country has a clustered distribution pattern. The habitat conditions of G. tumidum can be explained that, only Sonneratia alba species found at all observation stations in both locations with overall mangrove conditions in both locations having sparse density conditions and moderate canopy cover. Salinity conditions at both locations vary. Then the substrate condition in both locations there are two types of substrate, namely sandy stone and rocky sand with the most dominant type of substrate in both locations, namely sandy stone. The relationship between the abundance of G. tumidum and habitat characteristics in each location has an inverse or negatively correlated relationship and the abundance of G. tumidum is more likely to cluster at Rutong 1 and Waai 5 stations.

Abstract

Pemanasan global merupakan isu penting bagi semua negara di dunia karena memberikan dampak negatif bagi masyarakat dunia dan juga semua organisme di darat dan laut. Generasi muda saat ini perlu mengetahui dengan jelas dan benar apa yang dimaksud dengan pemanasan global, faktor penyebab terjadinya pemanasan global dan usaha-usaha yang harus dilakukan untuk mengurangi laju proses pemanasan global yang terjadi saat ini. Tujuan dari program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah mengedukasi generasi muda khususnya siswa SMA negeri 11 Ambon tentang pemanasan global dan dampaknya bagi kehidupan manusia. Metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah dengan cara pre test, penyajian materi, diskusi, tanya jawab dan post test. Hasil analisis dari pre test dan post test menunjukan hanya 32%  siswa yang memberikan jawaban yang benar saat pre test dan saat post test mengalami peningkatan menjadi 55%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini memberikan dampak peningkatan pengetahuan siswa tentang pemanasan global. Kegiatan PkM harus terus ditingkatkan implementasinya kepada siswa di semua jenjang mulai dari sekolah dasar sampai dengan sekolah menengah atas di pulau-pulau kecil di provinsi Maluku. Hal ini akan meningkatkan pengetahuan generasi muda tentang pemanasan global dan hal ini dapat menjadi salah satu metode untuk memperlambat proses pemanasan global yang terus terjadi saat ini.

Abstract

Rupiah is the official currency of Indonesia and is widely accepted in economic transactions within the country's borders. The rupiah can be weakened by the use of foreign currencies, the circulation of counterfeit money, and poor handling of money. To promote the importance of the rupiah, the Student Community Service (KKN) from Pattimura University in Ambon organized a program called Love Proud Understanding Rupiah. The socialization event took place at the Leahari State Office and involved preparing educational materials about the value of love, pride, and understanding of the rupiah. On May 23, 2023, the outreach program was carried out in Negeri Leahari to educate people about the significance of preserving and caring for the rupiah currency. By raising awareness about the importance of the rupiah, the socialization activities aimed to maintain the economic stability of Indonesia.

Abstract

Remote sensing technology has developed very rapidly and has a very significant role in the fisheries and marine sector as a provider of data and information. Liliboy Country is a coastal village located on the island of Ambon which has very productive waters with potential for fishing activities. This Community Service is made in the form of counseling, with the aim of introducing technological knowledge and providing information about fishing areas, as well as developing skills for the fishermen of Liliboy village to get more effective and efficient catches. It is hoped that the fishing community of Liliboy village will understand the use of sensing technology to determine fishing areas so that it will grow the community's economy and improve the welfare of life

Abstract

Laut Banda sebagai daerah penangkapan potensial ikan pelagis kecil dan besar berada pada Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan RI 714 memiliki potensi perikanan sebesar 788.939 ton/tahun. Penentuan ukuran layak tangkap adalah salah satu solusi menghindari tertangkapnya ikan-ikan ukuran kecil. Harapannya, ikan yang tertangkap sudah pernah (minimum sekali) melakukan pemijahan. Penangkapan terhadap ikan berukuran kecil berdampak pada ketersediaan stok ikan yang siap memijah. Jumlah ikan induk yang siap memijah tidak cukup untuk membuat keseimbangan stok di suatu perairan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2016 sampai Maret 2017 di TPI Seri untuk mengetahui aspek biologi ukuran pertama kali tertangkap dan hubungan panjang berat.sampel diambil secara acak saat nelayan turunkan ikan dari kapal. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan Panjang maksimum ikan Cakalang (Lmax) saat penelitian yaitu 74,5 dan panjang minimumnya 12,5 cm. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai Lc50% sebesar 69,0 cm dan nilai L∞ sebesar 78,4 cm, sehingga ½ L∞ sebesar 39,25 cm. Nilai koefisien b yang diperoleh dari persamaan hubungan panjang berat cakalang adalah 3,001 di wilayah perairan Laut Banda, dengan koefisien determinasi adalah 0,94. Setelah diuji dengan nilai t hitung maka nilai koefisien b=3 atau thitung < ttabel. Ini berarti bahwa pola pertumbuhan cakalang di Laut Banda berpola isometrik. Hal tersebut menunjukan ukuran ikan 69 cm yang tertangkap sebagian besar sudah layak untuk ditangkap

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine growth patterns and gonadal maturity levels, samples were taken randomly when the fishermen unloaded the fish from the boat. The results showed that skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) obtained a growth coefficient (K) of 1.85 per year with an asymptotic length of 75.90 cm, t0 -0.06501 years with T max maximum age = 3/K+t0 of 1 .5 years and an Rn value of 0.169. After plugging the growth value into the von Bertalanffy equation for skipjack tuna caught in the Banda seas of Maluku Province, the equation Lt=75.90{1-e-0.14(t+0.06501)} for skipjack tuna caught in Banda Sea waters. Visually, the results of observations in the field showed that female skipjack tuna entered TKG II at body length 44-59 cm, gonad length was 17.4 cm and male skipjack tuna reached TKG II at body length 43-58 cm, gonad length was 16.5 cm. The results showed that entering TKG III visually at body length measures 50.5-73.5 with a gonad length of 20 cm for female skipjack tuna and male skipjack tuna for TKG III dominates with a body length size of 70.5-79.5 cm with a gonad length of 20 cm

Abstract

This study examines the skipjack tuna fishing industry in North Seram District, Central Maluku Regency, which has been operated by local fishermen for many years. This fishery is categorized as a small-scale and concentrated effort in the Seram Sea, one of the small seas in the Indonesian archipelago, which is part of the Pacific Ocean, covering an area of approximately 12,000 square kilometers. The study employs the length-weight relationship analysis method and the von Bertalanffy growth model. The results indicate that the growth of skipjack tuna can be represented by the equation W = 0.0133L^3.0999 with a determination coefficient of 94%. The b coefficient value for the sampled skipjack tuna was 3.0999, indicating isometric growth (length and weight grow proportionally). The growth coefficient (K) of skipjack tuna was 0.17 per year, with an asymptotic length of 49.586 cm and a t0 value of -0.0748 years. The resulting von Bertalanffy equation is Lt = 49.58{1- e^-0.175(t+0.0748)}, which describes the growth pattern of skipjack tuna in the Seram Sea.

Abstract

Intensified utilization of scad fish and frequent catches of immature fish have disrupted the recruitment of young fish in the wild. This study aims to analyze the length-weight relationship and growth patterns of scad fish. Data were collected at the Fish Auction Place (FAP) of Waai Port, Central Maluku, from February to April 2024. Scad fish samples were measured for length and weight and analyzed using linear regression and multiple analysis to determine the length-weight relationship, with Von Bertalanffy analysis used to examine growth patterns. The study found a coefficient value (b) of 2.6017, indicating that the fish's length growth is faster than its weight increase, showing negatively allometric growth. The growth coefficient (K) is 0.061613 per year, with an asymptotic length of 37.44 cm. The (t0) value, indicating the age when fish length is close to zero, is 0.43 years. These findings suggest that scad fish from this population grow more in length than in weight. This has implications for fisheries management, which must regulate scad fish capture and utilization to prevent disrupting the recruitment and growth of young fish populations. Sustainable management practices are essential to maintain scad fish stocks and the balance of aquatic ecosystems in the region. ABSTRAK Peningkatan upaya pemanfaatan ikan layang yang intensif dan hasil tangkapannya lebih sering terdiri dari ikan-ikan yang belum mencapai ukuran matang gonad pertama kali, menyebabkan terganggunya proses rekruitmen ikan-ikan muda di alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan panjang-berat serta pola pertumbuhan ikan layang dari populasi tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) Pelabuhan Waai, Maluku Tengah, selama periode Februari hingga April 2024. Sampel ikan layang yang didaratkan diukur panjang dan beratnya, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linier serta analisis berganda untuk mengkaji hubungan panjang-berat, serta menggunakan analisis Von Bertalanffy untuk memeriksa pola pertumbuhan ikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien (b) sebesar 2,6017, yang mengindikasikan pertumbuhan panjang ikan lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan pertambahan beratnya atau pertumbuhan alometrik negatif. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa koefisien pertumbuhan (K) adalah 0,061613 per tahun dengan panjang asimtotik mencapai 37,44 cm. Nilai (t0), yang menunjukkan usia pada saat panjang ikan mendekati nol, adalah 0,43 tahun. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ikan layang dari populasi yang diteliti mengalami pertumbuhan panjang yang lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan peningkatan beratnya. Kondisi ini dapat berdampak pada strategi manajemen perikanan yang perlu memperhatikan pengaturan penangkapan dan pemanfaatan ikan layang agar tidak mengganggu proses rekruitmen dan pertumbuhan populasi ikan muda di alam. Pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan sangat diperlukan untuk memastikan kelestarian stok ikan layang serta keseimbangan ekosistem perairan di wilayah tersebut.
