Abstract

This study examines the prophet Amos' perspective on worship and its implications in new normal worship. Researchers use qualitative methods with literature studies to obtain the purpose of the research. The results revealed that: first, worship should avoid excitement, luxury, and hypocrisy. The church and the people of God today need to avoid worship that highlights the excitement and luxury that can distance itself from God, instead prioritizing social care and simple worship pleasing to God's eyes. Second, worship should be accompanied by an attitude that is faithful to God and away from sinful acts. With loyalty, any condition, including the new normal today does not prevent a person from doing personal worship or worship together, and dedication does not make oneself far from the place of worship. Third, worship should be accompanied by justice, truth, and holiness. Worship is accompanied by actual acts of justice and fact in social interaction. Fourth, worship should be accompanied by sacrifices and offerings pleasing to God. The principle of imitating Christ's sacrifice became the basis of Christian worship. Even if the difficulties and unfriendly circumstances due to the new normal conditions do not make the attitude of surrender and offerings pleasing to God fade. AbstrakPenelitian ini mengulas perspektif nabi Amos tentang ibadah dan implikasinya dalam ibadah new normal. Untuk memperoleh tujuan penelitian tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan kajian literatur. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: pertama, ibadah hendaknya menghindari kemeriahan, kemewahan, dan kemunafikan. Gereja dan umat Allah masa kini perlu menghindari ibadah yang menonjolkan kemeriahan dan kemewahan yang dapat menjauhkan diri dengan Allah, sebaliknya lebih mengutamakan kepedu-lian sosial dan ibadah sederhana yang berkenan di mata Tuhan. Kedua, ibadah hendaknya disertai sikap yang setia kepada Tuhan dan menjauhi perbuatan dosa. Dengan kesetiaan, kondisi apa pun, termasuk new normal sekarang ini, tidak menghalangi seseorang untuk melakukan ibadah pribadi maupun ibadah bersama, serta kesetiaan tidak membuat diri jauh dari tempat ibadah. Ketiga, ibadah hendaknya disertai keadilan, kebenaran, dan kekudusan. Ibadah yang diiringi perbuatan nyata akan keadilan dan kebenaran dalam interaksi sosial. Keempat, ibadah hendaknya disertai pengorbanan dan persembahan yang berkenan di hadapan Allah. Prinsip meneladani pengorbanan Kristus menjadi dasar ibadah-ibadah umat Kristen. Sekalipun kesulitan dan keadaan yang tidak bersahabat karena kondisi new normal, tidak membuat sikap pengorbanan dan persembahan yang berkenan kepada Tuhan menjadi pudar.

Abstract

This article aims to explore a form of holistic pastoral assistance of pastors for bereaved families in the congregation of GKE Nanga Bulik Lamandau Regency. The method used in this study is with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed that holistic pastoral assistance for bereaved families in the GKE Nanga Bulik Congregation was carried out through the ministry of the Word during the Mourning Service. Pastoral assistance still does not reach the problems faced by the congregation as a whole or holistically in a state of mourning. Pastoral Counseling is a guide to the person who is in trouble how he can get out of the problem and be able to overcome it himself if at some point the problem comes again and he can solve by remaining based on the faith and word of God who can overcome how severe the problem is faced. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali bentuk pendampingan pastoral holistik pendeta bagi keluarga berduka di jemaat GKE Nanga Bulik Kabupaten Lamandau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan pastoral holistik bagi keluarga berduka cita di Jemaat GKE Nanga Bulik dilakukan melalui pelayanan Firman pada saat Ibadah dukacita. Pendampingan Pastoral masih belum menjangkau persoalan yang dihadapi oleh jemaat secara menyeluruh atau secara holistik dalam keadaan berdukacita. Pastoral Konseling adalah pembimbingan kepada orang yang sedang bermasalah bagaimana ia bisa keluar dari permasalahan tersebut dan mampu mengatasinya sendiri jika pada suatu saat kelak kembali masalah itu datang dan ia dapat menyelesaikan dengan tetap berlandaskan iman dan firman Tuhan yang sanggup mengatasi betapa beratnyapun masalah yang sedang dihadapi.

Abstract

One of the three ecclesiastical vocations, namely the ministry of deacons. This service is a concrete mandate from the church and the fulfillment of Christ's mandate in terms of missionary service during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is a qualitative method with data sources from field data and literature reviews that discuss the role of deacon services in church growth during the Covid-19 pandemic at the GKE Haleluya Nanga Bulik Congregation. The results showed that the GKE Haleluya Nanga Bulik congregation was involved in deacon services as one of the real and active actions that explained motivation and mutual understanding, both in the form of caricative deacon services, reformative deacon services and transformative deacon services for people in need. Thus, the ministry of deacons has implications for church growth. The positive impact is to strengthen friendship and testimony during the Covid-19 pandemic at the GKE Haleluya Nanga Bulik Congregation. Salah satu dari tiga panggilan gerejawi, yaitu pelayanan diakonia. Pelayanan ini merupakan amanat konkrit dari gereja dan pemenuhan amanat Kristus dalam hal pelayanan misionaris di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan sumber data dari data lapangan yang membahas tentang peran pelayanan diakon dalam pertumbuhan jemaat pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di Jemaat GKE Haleluya Nanga Bulik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jemaah GKE Haleluya Nanga Bulik terlibat dalam kebaktian diakon sebagai salah satu tindakan nyata dan aktif yang menjelaskan motivasi dan saling pengertian, baik dalam bentuk pelayanan diakon karikatif, pelayanan diakon reformatif maupun pelayanan diakon transformatif bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Dengan demikian, pelayanan diaken berimplikasi pada pertumbuhan gereja. Dampak positifnya adalah mempererat silaturahmi dan kesaksian di masa pandemi Covid-19 di Jemaat GKE Haleluya Nanga Bulik.

Abstract

Hosea was not the only prophet who saw and criticized the falsehood of the Israelites' worship as God's people. Hosea's specialty, however, is that in his preaching he repeatedly puts forward, and therefore, reflects a fairly detailed theological concept of understanding the true, meaningful, and proper worship of God's people. In his preaching, Hosea highlighted two things in connection with Israel's worship, namely between the "loyal love / hesed and knowing God / daat elohim" versus the "sacrifice" / zebakh and the burnt offering/ola. The words hesed and da?at 'elohim are words and terms (formulas) that reveal the essence of Hosea's theological understanding of the true worship of Yahweh, which God's people should embody so that their relationship with God is maintained. In this term, there is an understanding of the "fundamental principles," "the premises," "the fundamental character," the "basic ideas," of worshiping Yahweh.
