Abstract

The issue of the spirituality of Generation Alpha children must start by mapping their digital-based interests. One way to increase interest in the process of learning Christian education is through a storytelling approach. This article offers digital-based storytelling to build and develop the spiritual interests of Generation Alpha children. This article uses a literature study through descriptive searches on various research references on storytelling and Generation Alpha in the post-digital era. Research shows the power of storytelling in improving the abilities of Generation Alpha children. We conclude that the spirituality of Generation Alpha begins with the interest in spirituality itself, which can be stimulated through digital storytelling.   Abstrak Persoalan spiritualitas anak generasi Alfa harus dimulai dari memetakan minat mereka yang berbasis digital. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan minat dalam proses belajar pendidikan kristiani adalah dengan pendekatan storytelling. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menawarkan penggunaan storytelling bebasis digital guna membangun hingga mengembangkan minat spiritualitas anak generasi Alfa. Artikel ini menggunakan studi pustaka, melalui penelusuran secara deskriptif pada berbagai referensi hasil riset tentang storytelling dan generasi Alfa di era posdigital. Penelusuran riset memperlihatkan kekuatan storytelling dalam meningkatkan kemampuan anak generasi Alfa. Kami menyimpulkan bahwa spiritualitas generasi Alfa dimulai dari minat spiritualitas itu sendiri, yang dapat distimulasi melalaui digital storytelling.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran jemaat diaspora Bethany Church Malaysia (BCM) di Johor Bahru dalam mengimplementasikan ajaran Yeremia 29:7 melalui kegiatan Malam Budaya sebagai upaya memperkuat kesejahteraan kota. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terkait acara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Malam Budaya tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai perayaan budaya, tetapi juga menjadi sarana jemaat diaspora dalam membangun hubungan lintas budaya, memperkuat identitas komunitas, dan mendorong keharmonisan dengan masyarakat lokal. Partisipasi jemaat BCM dalam acara ini menunjukkan semangat kolaborasi dan kebersamaan antar gereja dan komunitas setempat, menciptakan ikatan sosial yang kuat serta ruang dialog lintas budaya. Acara ini membuktikan bahwa upaya mereka dalam menghidupi nilai-nilai Yeremia 29:7 secara efektif berdampak pada peningkatan hubungan sosial dan memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan harmonis di Johor Bahru. This research aims to analyze the role of the Bethany Church Malaysia (BCM) diaspora congregation in Johor Bahru in implementing the teachings of Jeremiah 29:7 through Cultural Night activities as an effort to strengthen the city's prosperity. This research method is qualitative-descriptive with a case study approach, where data is obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to events. The research results show that Cultural Nights not only function as cultural celebrations, but also serve as a means for diaspora congregations to build cross-cultural relationships, strengthen community identity, and encourage harmony with local communities. The participation of the BCM congregation in this event shows the spirit of collaboration and togetherness between the church and the local community, creating strong social ties and space for cross-cultural dialogue. This event proves that their efforts in living the values ??of Jeremiah 29:7 effectively have an impact on improving social relations and making a positive contribution in creating an inclusive and harmonious environment in Johor Bahru.

Abstract

Papua had received the Gospel since 1855, yet continued to experience persistent socio-economic and moral challenges, including poverty, limited access to quality education, and the erosion of cultural values. These realities indicated a theological and developmental disconnect between the region’s Christian identity and its lived social condition. This study aimed to explore how Early Childhood Christian Education (ECCE) could be developed as a transformative response to this gap, particularly for the Alpha Generation growing up in Papua’s multicultural context. Conducted through a descriptive qualitative approach within the socio-religious context of Papua, the study employed theological and pedagogical reflection to analyse how Christian values and Papuan indigenous wisdom can be integrated into early education. Data were collected through literature review, analysis of church-based documents, and contextual educational materials. The findings revealed a critical need for Gospel-centered, culturally grounded ECCE models that promote holistic spiritual, emotional, and moral formation from an early age. The study concluded that a contextual and integrative approach to ECCE could bridge the divide between ritual faith and transformative Christian living. This research contributed a conceptual framework for churches and theological institutions to equip young children with Christlike character, cultural rootedness, and active participation in the renewal of Papuan society.

Abstract

Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic requires children to study at home. All student learning activities are carried out at home with guidance from parents. So that the role of parents in educating children is in the first place. Parents are the main responsibility for the education of their children. The purpose of writing this article is to see how the efforts made by parents in accompanying their children during the pandemic. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The method is, the method used is based on data obtained from the research field. In this study, besides wanting to see the child's learning process, the role and parenting pattern or mentoring of parents to their children during online learning that you want to observe carefully. Parents can apply teaching methods that involve daily activities such as making food, cleaning the house, or other things that can be created with the material being studied by the child. From the results of research on the role of parents in accompanying children during online learning, they still find various obstacles ranging from a lack of understanding of the condition of each child.   Abstrak Adanya pandemi Covid-19 mengharuskan anak untuk belajar di rumah. Seluruh kegiatan belajar siswa dilaksanakan di rumah dengan bimbingan dari orang orang tua. Sehingga peranan orang tua dalam mendidik anak berada pada urutan pertama. Orang tua merupakan penanggung jawab utama dalam pendidikan anak-anaknya. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah melihat bagaimana upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh orang tua dalam mendampingi anak selama pandemi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Metode tersebut merupakan, metode yang digunakan berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari lapangan penelitian. dalam penelitian ini selain ingin melihat proses pembelajaran anak peran dan pola asuh atau pendampingan orang tua kepada anak anaknya selama pembelajaran daring yang ingin diamati secara seksama. Orang tua bisa menerapkan metode pengajaran yang melibatkan kegiatan sehari-hari seperti membuat makanan, membersihkan rumah, atau lainnya yang bisa dikreasikan dengan materi yang sedang dipelajari oleh anak. Dari hasil penelitian peran orang tua dalam mendampingi anak selama pembelajaran daring masih menemukan berbagai kendala mulai dari kurangnya pemahaman akan kondisi anak masing-masing.
