Abstract

The tourist village of Pari, Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency has ecotourism in the form of a typical pandan coconut nursery and the unique aroma of pandan. This research aims to utilize Instagram knowledge as a promotional medium in Pari Village Ecotourism, Serdang Bedagai Regency. In connection with this objective, a problem formulation can be put forward, namely how to use the Pari village ecotourism social media Instagram as a promotional medium. The research methodology used by the author in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Pari Village ecotourism manager has used Instagram as a promotional medium in promoting Pari Village ecotourism. With the Instagram accounts @desawisatapari, and @hambalee_01, tourists are greatly helped in finding information. However, the obstacle experienced by Pari Village ecotourism managers is the lack of human resources in managing Pari Tourism Village Instagram. So the Pari tourism village Instagram is still not effective in promoting Pari village ecotourism in the form of pandan coconut nurseries because it is not by the promotional media indicators

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the natural tourism potential of Efrata Waterfall in Samosir Regency. Reviewing the accessibility conditions, supporting infrastructure, and obstacles faced in its development as a tourist destination. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through field observations, interviews with local communities, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that Efrata Waterfall has a high tourist attraction in the form of natural beauty that is still pristine, fast flowing water, and surrounding scenery that supports nature recreation activities such as trekking and photography. In terms of accessibility, the location can be reached by public and private vehicles, but the road conditions to the location are still inadequate. The facilities available are still limited, such as toilets, small shops, and simple places of worship. The obstacles faced are limited infrastructure, minimal promotion, lack of local community involvement, and the absence of integrated management. There needs to be an improvement in facilities and infrastructure, digital promotion strategies, and empowerment of local communities in managing the Efrata waterfall nature tourism in Samosir Regency.

Abstract

Tourism is a sector that is highly relied on in national development because tourism can increase national income and regional and state income. Regarding the development of Indonesian tourism, the Visit Indonesia program, which was launched in 2008 and has been continued until now, has brought new enthusiasm to the tourism community in Indonesia. Through efforts and improvement of services, supported by improved security situation, as well as recovery from the global economic crisis experienced by many European countries, the statistics of foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) to Indonesia in 2016 experienced a significant increase compared to the previous year. From 2016 to September the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 8.4 million, an increase of 10.53 percent. (Ministry of Tourism, 2016) Knowing how far it can be used as a tourist attraction in Medan City So that historical heritage can be functioned/made as a tourist object To be able to increase foreign and local tourist visits to the Maimoon palace to support tourism in North Sumatra. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach in this case based on the intention to describe the historical heritage of the Sultan of Deli Maimun in its utilization to support tourism in North Sumatra. Maimun Palace as a legacy of the Deli Malay Sultanate has good potential to become a point of interest. The point of beauty of the palace is an attraction besides the beauty of the building, the convenience of the intention is also an added value for the Maimun Palace, the dots of the Maimun Palace are an attraction for visitors to want to know more about Maimun Palace. To the management of the Maimun Palace, the publication always maintains the unique values contained in the Maimun Palace to the local government of Medan City and its staff, the Medan City Tourism Office continues to encourage efforts to preserve Maimun Palace.
