Abstract

Constitution 1945 clearly stated that each nation has right for education access and quality of education, as will result to the quality of human resources. Good quality of education will be produced by good quality teacher or professional teacher in their job. The result of teacher competent test 2015 shows the average number of teachers still under the standard of government. However, the province of Maluku Utara on the position of 33 per 34 in professionality and teaching technique. It is important to do the teaching competency improvement. Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Ternate has been done various professional teaching competency improvement. The study aims to examine the effectiveness of professional teaching competency improvement at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Ternate. In answering the research question, descriptive qualitative technique was used with the support of primary and secondary data. Data collection was carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Ternate by means of observation, interviews, and surveys (questionnaires) of 36 teachers. The results show professional teaching competency improvement program have been carried out by the school and the local government, but the internal factors of teachers become obstacles so that competency development is still less effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of gender socialization on culture, society, and education, with a focus on how the cultural and social conditioning of students and teachers influences their behavior in educational settings. To answer the question of what gender norms and beliefs a teacher transmits to the classroom, this paper examines how society and culture reinforce gender roles in education. Examples of gender socialization, gender roles, and gender stereotypes are used to distinguish inequalities in teaching students of different sexes and genders. This paper further analyzes how teacher biases can undermine their students' learning and how social norms are maintained through self-fulfilling prophecies. Finally, the importance of gender competence for teachers is highlighted and the importance of gender equality, as a powerful way to ensure that students are given fair opportunities in education, is brought to the fore.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi kearifan lokal Maluku Utara dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Ternate. Kearifan lokal seperti nilai-nilai Islam dalam budaya Kesultanan Ternate-Tidore, tradisi lisan, dan adat istiadat lokal dijadikan pendekatan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan ketertarikan peserta didik terhadap materi pelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Peneliti juga berperan langsung sebagai guru SKI yang mengimplementasikan integrasi tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis kearifan lokal membuat siswa lebih mudah memahami materi dan merasa terhubung secara emosional dengan sejarah Islam yang diajarkan. Narasi sejarah yang relevan dengan identitas kultural siswa meningkatkan antusiasme dan partisipasi mereka di kelas. FGD dengan guru dan tokoh adat mengungkapkan bahwa metode ini mendukung internalisasi nilai-nilai keislaman secara alami. Namun, keterbatasan bahan ajar berbasis lokal menjadi tantangan yang perlu diatasi melalui kolaborasi antara pendidik dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penyusunan kurikulum tematik berbasis budaya lokal untuk memperkuat pembelajaran SKI yang bermakna
