Abstract

This study discusses the horizon of expectations of the students in the novel Huózhe (活着) by Yu Hua. This research aims to measure the horizon of expectations that readers have regarding the ideas conveyed by the novel Huo Zhe (活着), so it is hoped that this can contribute to the development of literary reception theory. The theory used is the literary reception theory which focuses on exploring the form of a horizon of expectation, so that the presence of a literary work can be accepted in society. The methodology used is qualitative descriptive method as a basis for determining variables, problem formulation, data collection techniques, data classification and data analysis. The research informants were 35 students majoring in the Mandarin Language from 6th and 8th semesters who had taken the concentration in literature. Informants will be asked to read Yu Hua's novel Huózhe (活着) and provide their responses through a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the novel Huózhe (活着) fulfils the 3 criteria carried in the Jauss theory, namely the values depicted in the text, the knowledge and experience of the readers, and the conflict between fiction and reality. Thus, it can be concluded that the reading informants from the 6th and 8th-semester students majoring in Chinese accept the novel Huózhe (活着) positively, The results of acceptance positively influence new views that are built into the reader's horizon of expectations in interpreting the meaning of the ideas conveyed by the novel.

Abstract

Abstrak: Klasifikasi emosi memiliki peran krusial dalam mengidentifikasi dan memahami dinamika emosional yang mempengaruhi perilaku dan keputusan individu dalam berbagai konteks naratif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penyebab munculnya emosi tokoh utama serta klasifikasi emosi dasar pada tokoh utama dalam film Ne Zha. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori klasifikasi emosi David Krech dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa satuan lingual, kata, klausa, frasa dan kalimat yang memberikan gambaran penyajian emosi dasar tokoh utama pada film Ne Zha. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan catat.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stigma sosial merupakan penyebab yang paling dominan dalam mempengaruhi emosi Ne Zha. Stigma ini mencerminkan penolakan, diskriminasi, dan pengucilan dari masyarakat, yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kondisi emosional Ne Zha. Dari analisis terhadap 25 data emosi dasar, ditemukan bahwa emosi senang dan marah adalah yang paling dominan. Emosi senang muncul saat Ne Zha merasakan momen penerimaan atau keberhasilan, sedangkan emosi marah muncul sebagai respon terhadap penolakan dan perlakuan buruk.Kata kunci: Emosi, Film, Ne Zha, Psikologi Sastra, Jiao Zi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe title of this research is the“shèng nǚ” label solution to female main character in the 《剩者为王》movie’s: feminism analysis. In this study the background of the rise of female phenomena aged over 27 years but still does not have the desire to get married so that researchers adjust the formulation of the problem how women look for ways to be free from the shackles of which are labeled shèng nǚ to them, especially in the film “shèng zhě wéi wáng”. The purpose of this research is carried out to describe the way the shèng nǚ women are in order to be in accordance with the norms of the community in their own country. In this assessment, researchers use qualitative descriptive methods and data validity through triangulation by using the film "Shèng Zhě Wéi Wáng" as a source of data .Researchers used the theory of existential feminism from Beauvoir (1956) as a supporter of this research. Lastly, Researchers found out  that there are many ways that shèng nǚ  can do in order to be in accordance with the norms of the community, for example, namely: Following the orders of parents, having people who are loved, married, and love themselves. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan tentang kesenjangan gender dengan menggunakan teori performativitas gender dalam perspektif feminisme. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah dialog dari antar tokoh yang mengandung kesenjangan gender. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah film “Mulan” yang dirilis pada tahun 2020 dan disutradarai oleh Niki Caro. Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan catat. Penulis menyimak bahasa, kalimat, ekspresi, dan gerak gerik dalam film Mulan sembari mencatat kalimat yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu adanya konstruksi budaya dalam memandang isu gender sehingga menyebabkan adanya kesenjangan gender yang melahirkan subordinasi yang menempatkan kedudukan dan peran perempuan lebih rendah dari pada laki-laki dan stereotipe atau pelabelan yang mengharuskan perempuan untuk tampil cantik dan anggun, sehingga memaksa perempuan untuk menyesuaikan diri pada standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh masyarakat. Hal tersebut membatasi perempuan dalam mengekspresikan bakat dan keinginanya.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the nationalist attitude of the main character Wu Qianli in the film Chang Jin Hu (长津湖) and describe the supporting factors for the nationalist attitude of the character Wu Qianli in the film Chang Jin Hu. This research is motivated by literary works which have many nationalist values. The research method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The techniques used in collecting data are downloading films, watching films, screenshotting parts of films that have nationalist values. The results found from this research are that there are 3 attitudes of nationalism, namely having concern for the nation, having a movement to achieve independence, having the value of being willing to sacrifice and there are also supporting factors for morals in the nationalist attitude of the main character Wu Qianli, namely his own actions, conditions or situations and motives. . Therefore, this research has concrete data on the findings of a nationalistic attitude in the character Wu Qianli in the film Chang Jin Hu.
