Abstract

Today’s political discourse cannot be separated from the usage of social media. There are plenty of political actors using it to campaign their issues and attack their political rivals to influence public opinion. One of the instruments used by the political actor in using social media is bot accounts. Bot accounts are an automated online account where all or substantially all of the actions or posts of that account are not the result of a person. The usage of bot accounts is viewed as harmful for democracy by many experts on law and democracy. However, lots of states have no regulation regarding the usage of bot accounts, including Indonesia. This article intends to bring legal review on the usage of bot accounts to influence public opinion in Indonesia. By using deliberative democratic theory, this article views that the usage of bot accounts could prevent the objective achievement of democracy based on the 1945 Constitution. The authors recommend the regulation of bot accounts through the revision of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions with bringing up various notable arguments regarding the law implementation.

Abstract

Designing creative learning kits for children during early childhood development requires a deep understanding of how they interact with simple, open-ended materials. This study explored the idea that designers must reconnect with hands-on material experiences to create meaningful and effective kits. Using the "Materials & Creativity" class at Chiba University as a case study, design students followed Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle, engaging in self-expression, brainstorming, prototyping, and peer testing. The findings highlight that direct interaction with materials plays a crucial role in reawakening creativity and aligning design processes with children’s natural play behaviors. Peer feedback helped refine the learning kits, ensuring their usability and educational value. This study suggests integrating material exploration and experiential learning principles into design education fosters creative thinking and effective solutions.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth disorder in children caused by recurrent infections and chronic malnutrition. It has become a national health issue, with high rates recorded in Indonesia, particularly in Central Bengkulu Regency, specifically in Rajak Besi Village. One of the main causes of stunting is a lack of nutritional intake, which can begin during pregnancy if the mother does not meet nutritional needs. In this village, early marriage is also prevalent. Early marriage, especially among teenagers, has serious consequences. It can halt education, disrupt physical and mental health, and increase the risk of premature births and other health issues. Moreover, early marriage can limit future educational and career opportunities. Efforts to prevent stunting can be carried out through socialization activities and posyandu (integrated health posts) for toddlers and pregnant women. We also conducted socialization to prevent early marriage. Through the program implemented in Rajak Besi Village, we successfully raised public awareness about the importance of providing nutritious food to children and pregnant women, as well as adopting clean and healthy lifestyles. The villagers also began to understand the dangers of early marriage.
