Abstract

Ludruk merupakan pertunjukan drama yang diperankan secara grup atau berkelompok dalam sebuah panggung dengan cerita yang bersumber dari apa yang terjadi di kehidupan rakyat sehari – hari. Pelestarian kesenian Ludruk di Pagesangan Surabaya yang diadakan oleh Arek bengi yang merupakan event organizer untuk memenuhi mata kuliah Produksi Event Kehumasan dari program studi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Bhayangkara Surabaya bertujuan untuk melestarikan kesenian ludruk di kalangan generasi muda saat ini. Ludruk yang saat ini semakin terpinggirkan karena adanya kemajuan teknologi yang membuat generasi penerusnya kurang mengetahui kesenian daerah. Bentuk Event yang telah dilaksanakan adalah diskusi, survey, praktik, dan evaluasi. Metode praktik yang dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap akhir. Hasil kegiatan pementasan ludruk dalam upaya pelestarian dan pengembangan seni budaya tradisional Ludruk di Kalangan Muda, Kelurahan Pagesangan, Jawa Timur, mencakup beberapa aspek yang mencerminkan dampak positif dari program ini seperti antusiasme masyarakat terutama bagi generasi muda dan kegiatan Bazar UMKM di Pagesangan Surabaya turut terbantu dengan adanya kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Arek Bengi Event Organizer.

Abstract

This article explores the strategic role of Cyber Public Relations (Cyber PR) in shaping image and maintaining organizational reputation in the digital era. This approach utilizes modern communication technologies, especially social media, to create broader and more responsive public engagement. The study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach based on various reputable national academic journals. The findings indicate that Cyber PR is not merely a promotional tool, but a key instrument in building trust and long-term relationships with the public. Challenges such as misinformation, digital reputation crises, and public transparency demands are prominent issues, yet can be addressed through adaptive and data-driven communication strategies. Simultaneously, the opportunities provided by digital media such as message virality, communication personalization, and digital collaboration become major strengths for PR practitioners. In conclusion, Cyber PR is an essential and integral tool for building effective and sustainable organizational communication in the modern public communication landscape.

Abstract

This study analyzes the communication strategy of the Kedurus Community Health Center and Posyandu in preventing stunting in Kedurus Village. Stunting remains a major public health issue in Indonesia, particularly among young children, and is linked not only to medical factors but also to public awareness of nutrition and maternal health. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation and interviews with health center staff. The findings reveal that a key communication barrier is the public’s misperception—believing that a child who appears healthy does not face growth issues. The study concludes that effective stunting prevention communication relies on the ability of health workers and Posyandu cadres to build trust, deliver clear messages, and actively engage the community.

Abstract

Although the innovation of digitalization of population administration services has been launched through the Klampid New Generation (KNG) website, the utilization of this platform among the community is still not optimal. This study aims to analyze the implementation of communication strategies used by the Surabaya Population and Civil Registration Service in increasing the utilization of the Klampid New Generation website. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using Berlo's Communication Model Theory. The results of the study show that the Surabaya Disdukcapil implements a multi-channel communication strategy through social media, official websites, and direct counseling in sub-districts and villages. This strategy is supported by informative and relevant content that is easy for the community to understand. By implementing Berlo's communication theory, each element of communication is optimized, including training of officers in sub-districts to improve understanding of the KNG community.

Abstract

This research explores the role of the Hoax Clinic under the East Java Provincial Office of Communication and Informatics in strengthening digital literacy and fostering public trust in online information, as a response to the rising spread of hoaxes on social media that creates public anxiety and harmful impacts. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Hoax Clinic adopts two strategic approaches: proactive and reactive. The proactive approach is carried out through digital literacy education. The reactive approach involves a structured verification and clarification process for hoax reports submitted by the public, supported with evidence-based explanations and credible references. Overall, the Hoax Clinic demonstrates a strategic role as a fact-checking service by integrating both proactive and reactive efforts in combating misinformation.

Abstract

In the current era of competition, a region is not only required to deliver optimal public services but also to build a positive image and strengthen its regional identity. This study aims to examine the regional rebranding strategy through the #DiSidoarjoAja tagline implemented by the Sidoarjo Regency Government to support integrated regional promotion. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis is based on Simon Anholt’s Hexagon of Competitive Identity theory, which consists of six dimensions: tourism, brand, policy, culture, people, and investment. The findings indicate that the government has optimized the development of tourism potential across various areas, reinforced regional uniqueness and identity through branding, and issued policies that encourage regional progress. In addition, community participation plays a significant role as a representation of Sidoarjo’s image, while investment flows show potential to further enhance the region’s competitiveness in the future. The study concludes that regional rebranding through the #DiSidoarjoAja tagline primarily emphasizes the tourism dimension as a key strength of regional identity, whereas the investment dimension has not yet been optimally developed, and other dimensions remain in a stage of ongoing and sustainable development.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged social media, particularly Instagram, to become a strategic platform for tourism promotion through visuals and narratives. Although Surabaya possesses significant potential in historical, cultural, and urban tourism, the city is often perceived as having limited tourist destinations due to promotional strategies that tend to be informative and lack emotional engagement. Therefore, the concept of Storynomics Tourism has been implemented by the Surabaya Communication and Informatics Office through the Instagram account @sapawargasby to present tourism promotion in the form of creative and meaningful storytelling. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using content analysis, documentation, and. The findings indicate that a story-based approach is able to build emotional connections with the audience and strengthen the positive image of Surabaya’s tourism, thereby potentially changing public perceptions of the city as a diverse destination with historical value
