Abstract

This study aims to explore the orientation in teaching the Arabic language at Persatuan Islam (Islamic Union) pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) around the city of Garut, West Java. This research uses a qualitative methodology, with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. The study produces several findings, the most important of which are: First, the orientation in teaching Arabic at most Persatuan Islam pesantren is religious in nature. In this context, Arabic serves as a tool rather than a goal; the objective is to understand religious texts. Second, most Persatuan Islam pesantren in Garut focus more on teaching about the Arabic language rather than teaching the language itself. Third, this approach in the Persatuan Islam pesantren does not arise in isolation but stems from their noble aim and aspiration to produce graduates with a deep understanding of religion who are beneficial to Islam and the Muslim community.

Abstract

This study aims to empower students linguistically and culturally. In the context of Arabic language education, it enables them to acquire some Islamic cultural knowledge related to doctrinal matters that are essential for any Muslim. The issue of divine will in creed has been widely discussed, and it is not appropriate to overlook it. This underscores the significant importance of integrating linguistic and doctrinal aspects. The study is based on field research, adopting a qualitative descriptive approach. Data is collected through observation and documentation. Following the study, the researchers conclude that achieving integration in Mufaza Indonesia Secondary School can be accomplished by formulating texts that convey information about the issue of divine will. This involves reviewing the prescribed textbooks for students in the school to ensure the absence of the desired topic. These texts can be presented to students in reading education, whether in intensive or extensive reading. To ensure students' understanding, teachers can pose objective questions about the text.

Abstract

Akurasi buku ajar nahwu merupakan prasyarat penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, terutama bagi pembelajar pemula. Kesalahan dalam penyajian kaidah, ejaan, maupun contoh berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahpahaman konseptual yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji problematika buku ajar nahwu melalui studi kasus Kitab Al Muyassar Fii ‘Ilmin Nahwi jilid 1 edisi terbaru (1446 H). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Objek penelitian berupa kitab Al Muyassar jilid 1 versi cetakan baru (tulisan digital) dan versi lama (tulisan tangan, 1429 H). Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi dan pencatatan terhadap kesalahan yang terdapat dalam materi, contoh, tabel, dan latihan soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan imlā’ mendominasi temuan dengan persentase sebesar 77%, diikuti kesalahan sintaksis (9%), morfologi (1%), dan kesalahan lain-lain (13%). Hasil komparasi juga mengungkap bahwa sekitar 33% kesalahan pada edisi terbaru tidak ditemukan pada cetakan lama, yang mengindikasikan adanya penurunan akurasi teks akibat proses digitalisasi dan penyuntingan yang kurang teliti. Selain itu, ditemukan inkonsistensi istilah nahwu, kesalahan pedagogis, serta kerancuan makna dalam penjelasan kaidah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya revisi menyeluruh terhadap kitab dengan merujuk pada naskah asli tulisan tangan serta melibatkan editor imlā’ dan ahli bahasa Arab guna meningkatkan kualitas buku ajar nahwu.
