Abstract

The increasing cases of sexual harassment, particularly among teenagers, have become a critical issue that requires immediate attention. One preventive effort is enhancing assertiveness skills, which can be improved through informational services provided by guidance and counseling teachers. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of informational services based on sumbang duo baleh using a contextual learning approach to enhance students' assertive behavior in preventing sexual harassment. The research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a time-series design. The sample was randomly selected, involving one class as the experimental group, consisting of 29 female students of Minangkabau ethnicity. Data were collected using a scale measuring students' assertive behavior in preventing sexual harassment, administered as a pretest and posttest. The results show that informational services based on sumbang duo baleh with a contextual learning approach are moderately effective in improving students' assertive behavior, with an N-Gain score of 54.5% (0.5450). The percentage of students' assertive behavior increased by 12.89%, from 59.54% in the pretest to 76.61% in the posttest. Furthermore, the average score improved from 111.75 in the pretest to 176.2 in the posttest. These findings indicate that informational services based on sumbang duo baleh can serve as an effective approach to enhancing students' assertiveness as a preventive measure against sexual harassment.

Abstract

This research is based on the development of students notalways running smoothly, in the development, students experiencing obstacles and difficulty. The purpose of the research is to produce and analyze the data of adversity quotient and problem solving skill and see the effect of adversity quotient on problem solving skill of Guidance and Counseling Students, Sriwijaya University. This type of research is quantitative research using survey methods as well as data analysis techniques using regression analysis. The sample in this study of 142 students consisted of three generations of 2017, 2018 and 2019 Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sriwijaya University. Sampling techniques using Proportional Random Sampling. The instruments in this study used likert scale which has been tested validity and reliaitscredibility. The conclution is that there is an influence adversity quotient on problem solving skill of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education students of Sriwijaya University, its mean the higher adversity quotient of students in then the higher the problem solving skill owned by students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The implications of this research are used as input in the creation of guidance and counseling service programs.

Abstract

Konseling yang berbasis pada budaya Minangkabau, dan bagaimana indigenous counseling berbasis budaya minangkabau ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman self-esteem dan kebermaknaan hidup individu. Dalam konteks global yang semakin maju dan beragam, penting bagi guru bimbingan konseling untuk memahami dan menghargai keragaman budaya dalam pemberian layanan. Metode penulisan yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode penelitian literatur, dengan tujuan meninjau literatur yang relevan untuk mengumpulkan informasi mendalam tentang subjek atau masalah yang diteliti, hasil dari pembahasan ialah falsafah minangkabau yang diterapkan sebagai indegenous counseling dapat membantu peserta didik dalam memahami self esteem nya dan memperoleh kebermaknaan hidup
