Abstract

The research objective was to study the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizer on the growth and production of lettuce. This research was conducted from February 2017 to April 2017 at Green House, Faculty of Agricultural,Sjakhyakirti University Palembang. The research used Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 12 treatments and repeated 3 times. The treatment in this research was K (50 g.crop-1 cowmanure and 0 g.crop-1NPK fertilizer), L (50 g.crop-1 cow manure and 1 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer ), M (50 g.crop-1 cow manure and 2 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer), N (50 g.crop-1 cow manure and 3 g.crop-1NPK fertilizer), O ( 80 g.crop-1 cow manure and 0 g.crop-1 NPKfertilizer), P (80 g.crop-1 cow manure and 1 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer), Q (80 g.crop-1 cow manure and 2 g.crop-1NPK fertilizer), R (80 g.crop-1 cow manure and 3 g.crop-1NPK fertilizer), S (110 g.crop-1 cow manure and 0 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer), T (110 g.crop-1 cow manure and 1 g.crop-1NPK fertilizer), U (110 g.crop-1 cow manure and 2 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer), V (110 g.crop-1 cow manure and 3 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer). The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of roots, wet weight of plant (g), dry weight of plant (g). The results showed that the organic fertilizer of cow manure and inorganic NPK fertilizer have no significant effect on the growth but has a significant effect on the production of lettuce plant. However, the U (110 g.crop-1 cow manure and 3 g.crop-1 NPK fertilizer) showed the best production of many leaves and wet trimming weight of lettuce.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of mulch and the type of organic fertilizer from livestock waste that have the best effect on the growth and production of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L). This study used an experimental method with a split plot design consisting of 9 combinations which were repeated 3 times so that 27 plots and 5 sample plants were obtained. The treatment in question is as follows: Factor I = Mulch Type (M) consisting of 3 replications: M0 = No Mulch, M1 = Jengkol Bark Mulch, M2 = Rice Husk Organic Mulch. Factor II = Types of Livestock Waste (K) consisting of 3 replications: K0 = without livestock waste fertilizer, K1 = Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer, K2 = Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of tubers per clump (tuber), tuber weight per clump (grams), tuber weight per plot (grams). The combination treatment between rice husk organic mulch and organic fertilizer from chicken manure gave the highest effect on the growth and production of shallots at 1.09 kg/plot or equivalent to 10.90 tons/ha.

Abstract

Red spinach plants are used as a food source of protein, especially for developing countries, so that the growth and yield of red spinach increases, it is necessary to add additional nutrient input from organic fertilizers such as goat manure and goat urine. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of goat manure organic fertilizer and the effect of the interaction of goat urine liquid fertilizer on red spinach plants. The research was carried out from March 2018 to April 2018 in Sambirejo Village, Jalan Sabar Jaya, Banyuasin 1 District, South Sumatra. This study was arranged using a factorial randomized block design (RAKF) with three replications. The factors used were goat manure organic fertilizer consisting of three levels, namely K0, K1, K2 and goat urine liquid organic fertilizer consisting of five levels, namely U0, U1, U2, U3, U4. The parameters observed consisted of number of leaves (strands), root length (cm), plant height (cm), plant dry weight (g), plant fresh weight (g). The application of organic fertilizer only affects goat manure but does not affect the production of red spinach plants, it’s just that in the K2U2 treatment (10 shows the best production on the number of leaves and weight of wet bark. Abstract

Cucumber production has decreased in 2017, it was still increase, one of production by providing organic matter and good fertilization, therefore it is necessary to respond to growth and production of cucumber plants with fertilization from cow manure and liquid organic coconut coir fertilizer which the NPK nutrient content in both of these organic materials. This study aims to determine the response of growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis Sativus L.) to cow manure and coconut coir liquid organic fertilizer. This research has been carried out in the village of Sembawa, Banyuasin Regency. The implementation of the study began in March 2021 until May 2021. The design used was a Randomized Block Design arranged in a factorial manner with 9 treatment combinations, each treatment repeated 3 times. The treatmensts were A = Cow Manure, B = Coconut Coir Poc. The parameters observed in this study were plant height (cm), fruit length (cm), fruit diameter (cm), and fruit weight (grams). The results of the analysis of diversity (F test) showed that the interaction between cow manure and coco coir had no significant effect on fruit diameter and fruit weight. The coefficient of diversity (KK) values varied from 3.34% to 11.92%. The resutls of the analysis of the further test of Honest Significant Difference, the best treatment was P2 (cow manure dose 15 tons / 1.8 kg per plot) and S2 (coconut coir poc 15 % concetration). Abstract

Data from the Directorate of Serelia Cultivation shows that Indonesia's sorghum production in the last 5 years has only increased slightly from 6,114 tons to 7,695 tons. The increase in domestic sorghum production needs special attention because Indonesia has great potential for sorghum development (Subagio and Aqil, 2013), therefore it is necessary to respond to the growth and production of sorghum (Sorghum Bicolor L. moench) plants to the application of cow dung bokashi fertilizer and weeding time in the Lebak swamp. This study aims to determine the response of growth and yield of sorghum plants. This research has been carried out by Lr. Karang sublime, Talang Putri Village, Plaju District, Palembang. The design used was a randomized block design (RAK) which was arranged in a factorial manner consisting of two factors, namely the weeding time factor (P) and the cow dung bokashi fertilizer dose factor (K). The treatment factor for weeding time consisted of 3 levels, namely P1 (7 DAP), P2 (14 DAP), P3 (21 DAP) and the dose treatment factor for cow dung bokashi fertilizer consisted of 3 levels, namely K1 (bovine bokashi fertilizer 100g per plant). K2 (bovine dung bokashi fertilizer 150g per plant), K3 (cow dung bokashi fertilizer 200g per plant), so there were 9 treatment combinations with 3 replications/group, where each treatment consisted of 27 plants with 4 sample plants. The variables observed in this study consisted of 1) plant height (cm), 2) flowering age (days), 3) fruit weight (g). The results showed that the treatment of weeding time for 14 days after planting and the application of 200g cow dung bokashi fertilizer per plant had a significant effect on all observed variables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth response of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) to liquid organic fertilizer noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L.) grown in lebak swamps. In this study, a randomized block design (RBD) method was used which consisted of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The concentration of noni fruit extract used was P0 = 0 ml, P1 = 6 ml, P2 = 8 ml, P3 = 10 ml, P4 = 12 ml, P5 = 14 ml. Observations were made on plant height, number of branches, flowering time, fruit number and fruit length. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the response of plants to the influence of noni fruit liquid fertilizer was very good for the age of flowering, number of fruits, fruit length. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the administration of noni fruit liquid organic fertilizer has a very significant effect on the age of flowering and the number of fruits and has a significant effect on the length of eggplant fruit. In the P5 treatment with a concentration of 14 ml gave the best effect, it can be used as an effective dose for growing eggplant plants.
