Abstract

Traditional medicine used within maternity care functions to recover reproduction system in order to get recobered as used to be ( before maternity). Maternity care period such as urgent transition period for mother's, babies and their family physiologically,social and emotionally. The condition that impacts such pain and death of mothers and baby risks commonly within maternity care in this period. However,todays in developed country,main attention towards mothers nd babies are only during pregnancy and deliver birth period. Moreover, within childbirth period mothers commonly complained about stomach pain (womb), over tired, strechty body and distended and also stretch marks. This study is a descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study is married woman who have got babies in Medan. They are 100 women. The sample was taken by purposive sampling method. It is choosing the women purposively because they have used to treat it with in childbirth period. It was 74 women. The data was collected by addressing questionnaire about Tapel knowledge such as definiton, understanding the benefits,the way to use and the functions. The lowest knowledge about it was repondents with education Senior high school 66,7%, callworling mothers (34,6%) and they arr 30-34 years old (34,8%). Furthermore, women who knows the way to treat Tapel correctly 54,1%. This finding shows that it is very important to do an action to improve itin order to avoid abuse that impact pain so hard.

Abstract

Several studies on baby massage provide reports related to the benefits of baby massage such as baby massage can increase body weight, increase growth, increase endurance, increase baby's concentration and make babies sleep more soundly, foster bonding attachment between parents and children and can improve mother's milk production. This type of research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was infants aged 0 -12 months. The research sample was 28 infants aged 0-12 months. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Wilcoxon test statistical test data processing.The results showed that the growth and development of infants aged 0-12 months before being given baby massage was known to 28 respondents, the results showed that the growth and development of infants in the rising category before the baby massage was carried out were 5 respondents (17.9%) and the growth and development of infants in the fixed category. before the baby massage was carried out as many as 23 respondents (82.1%) and the growth and development of babies in the rising category after the baby massage was 26 respondents (92.9%) and Growth and Development in the fixed category before the baby massage was 2 respondents (7, 1%). Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the significant value of p-value = 0.000 <α (0.05), so that H was accepted.The conclusion of the study means that there is an effect of baby massage on the growth and development of infants aged 0-12 months at Mahanum Clinic, Medan.

Abstract

The hypnobirthing method is usually done for pregnant women who are undergoing labor. This of course has the goal of creating conditions and also a relaxed atmosphere for pregnant women who are giving birth. This goal is to reduce the level of tension, anxiety and also make the pain suffered be reduced during the labor process. This research was made with the aim of knowing and also obtaining information about the effect of hypnobirthing on labor pain suffered by pregnant women at the Pratama Hadijah clinic. The research method used was sample selection and also a non-equivalent control group which consisted of several groups called the control group with the behavior of pregnant women, which was a sample of about 25 people. The data will be analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test.
