Abstract

The main problem faced by EFL students in writing English texts includes the difficulties to produce a cohesive and coherent text that it seems necessary to show how the tools of Theme and Rheme can be used to help construct the students' good English writing. This study aimed to find out the types of thematic progression patterns in each clause of the recount texts written by students and the dominant pattern of thematic progression revealed from the texts. The research design of this study is a qualitative method which employed the study instrument of the students' recount texts at class IX of SMAN 2 Langsa, Aceh. A content analysis approach by using a Theme and Rheme framework generated from a theory of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) was used to analyze the thematic progression patterns on the students' recount texts, which included several steps: reading the student's texts, identifying the theme and rheme of every clause of the student's text, describing the thematic progression patterns of student's text and drawing the thematic progression pattern on student's text. The findings of the analysis indicated that there are three (3) thematic progression patterns found on the students' recount texts: the Theme Constant, the Theme Zig Zag Linear pattern and Theme Multiple patterns. The dominant type of thematic progression patterns constructed by the students into their recount texts was revealed mostly on 123 constant or reiteration patterns (76.8%), followed by zig-zag patterns of 35 times (21.8%)  and 9 times (1.25%) of multiple patterns. The results of this study will be facilitative as the tools for English language teaching and learning classrooms particularly for writing English texts.

Abstract

Kualitas penting bagi perusahaan dalam peningkatan produktivitas, daya saing dan untuk mendapat keuntungan maksimal. Cacat produk pada suatu produks yang tidak dapat dihindari berakibat pada penurunan kualitas. Ada berbagai alat pengendalian kualitas yang dapat diterapkan dalam suatu perusahaan untuk analisis cacat produk. Alat pengendalian kualitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan seven tools untuk analisis terhadap cacat produk pulley pada CV. Bonjor Jaya Ceper Klaten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga jenis cacat produk pulley yaitu keropos, berlubang dan hancur. Keropos merupakan cacat yang paling banyak terjadi, penyebabnya adalah pekerja yang kurang tepat waktu dalam proses pengadukan bahan dan pembongkaran pulley, serta takaran bahan yang tidak tepat. Peta kontrol yang didapat digunakan sebagai batas cacat produk yang diijinkan terjadi pada proses produksi, dengan batas atas 16,61% dan batas bawah 3.24%.

Abstract

ABSTRACK  Projects can be said to be completed if the project work has arrived at a predetermined point which is no longer possible to do the next job. There are several types of scheduling that can be done, and one of them uses the fast track method. Fast Track itself is a project completion system that is faster than the planned time by using more efficient methods so that it can reduce the time of project implementation. The fast track method can shorten implementation time and save project costs compared to traditional (conventional) methods that rely on a rigid sequence of activities. At present the application of the fast track method can help planning so that the implementation is on time or in accordance with the desired completion time. The results of the study showed that the initial implementation time was 420 days while the fast track method was 385 days, then by using the fast track method there is an acceleration of 35 days from the time of the initial implementation of the initial planning  Keywords: completion of the project, planning, control, Fast Track method

Abstract

AbstrakSalah satu serial terpopuler Netflix ialah Serial drama Squid game yang mengandung alegori besar masyarakat. Masalah sosial pada dasarnya merupakan suatu kondisi kehidupan dalam masyarakat yang tidak diinginkan atau suatu kondisi kehidupan yang menimbulkan persoalan. Masalah sosial dapat terjadi karena adanya hambatan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan, akibat perubahan sosial ekonomi serta penggunaan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membongkar wacana masalah sosial dengan metode analisis Wacana Kritis milik Norman Fairclough, berfokus pada “ketidakberesan” fenomena sosial pada serial drama Squid game. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah teknik analisis Norman fairclough, dengan proses analisis yaitu mengamati subjek, objek, komposisi dan unsur tersirat yang merepresentasikan masalah sosial. Sedangkan teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian  merupakan kesimpulan analisis yang sudah dilakukan dimana peneliti memperoleh sebanyak 30 scene yang mengandung unsur masalah sosial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa serial drama squid game mengandung aspek yang membangun fenomena masalah sosial dari segi komposisi, dialog, dan praktik sosial di dunia nyata. Hasil analisis juga merupakan kritik secara tidak langsung terhadap permasalahan sosial masyarakat yang terjadi. Kata Kunci: serial drama, Netflix, squid game,  masalah sosial, analisis wacana kritis Abstract One of Netflix's most popular series is the drama series Squid game which contains a huge allegory of society. Social problems are basically a condition of life in society that is not desirable or a condition of life that causes problems. Social problems can occur due to obstacles in meeting needs, due to socio-economic changes and the use of science and technology. This study aims to dismantle the discourse of social problems with Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse analysis method, focusing on the "irregularities" of social phenomena in the drama series Squid game.This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation and literature study. The data analysis technique used is the analysis technique of Norman Fairclough, with the analysis process observing the subject, object, composition and implied elements that represent social problems. While the technique of checking the validity of the data using source triangulation.The results of the study are the conclusions of the analysis that has been carried out where the researchers obtained as many as 30 scenes that contain elements of social problems. The results of the analysis show that the squid game drama series contains aspects that build the phenomenon of social problems in terms of composition, dialogue, and social practices in the real world. The results of the analysis are also an indirect criticism of the social problems that occur in society. Keywords: drama series,  netflix,  squid game,  social problems,  critical discourse analysis

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) to find out the literature review of thematic teacher books integrated character profiles of Pancasila students in grade I SD or MI Theme I Myself. 2) to find out the literature review of thematic students' books integrated with the character profile of Pancasila students in grade I SD or MI Theme I Myself. The research approach used is a qualitative library research approach or library research. The type of research used in this research is text study or textbook analysis. Analysis of textbooks in the form of integrated thematic teacher and student books for the 2013 curriculum for grade 1 SD or MI theme 1: myself. The results of the study show that: 1) In the thematic teacher's book integrated curriculum 2013 grade 1 SD or MI Theme 1: Myself, there are 14 character values. The 14 character values are discipline, friendly or communicative, religious, honest, hard work, independent, responsible, tolerance, curiosity, love to read, creative, national spirit, love for the homeland, and caring (social care). In the values of the Pancasila student profile there are all or there are 6 indicators or values of the Pancasila student profile. The 6 values of the Pancasila student profile are faith and piety to God Almighty and noble character, mutual cooperation, independence, global diversity, critical reasoning, and creativity. 2) In the thematic integrated student book 2013 curriculum grade 1 SD or MI Theme 1: Myself, there are 10 character values. The 10 character values are religious, friendly or communicative, hard work, independent, responsible, disciplined, love to read, creative, love the homeland, and tolerance. In the values of the Pancasila student profile, there are all or 6 indicators or values of the Pancasila student profile. The 6 values of the Pancasila student profile are faith and piety to God Almighty and noble character, mutual cooperation, independence, global diversity, critical reasoning, and creativity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a product from the design of interactive learning media articulating the "BADANA" storyline. This study describes the feasibility of media resulting from the validation of material experts, media experts, and linguists. Furthermore, the response of teachers and students as users of the use of interactive learning media "BADANA". The model used is the ADDIE model which includes five stages including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Furthermore, for the subject of this study, namely class III students one of SD Negeri in Sindanglaya. The feasibility of this interactive learning media resulted in that the percentage of assessments from material experts was 100% in the "Very Feasible" category, from media experts it was 96.1% in the "Very Feasible" category and from linguists it was 91.6% in the "Very Feasible" category. While the percentage of responses from teachers was 93.7% in the "Very Feasible" category, indicating that this interactive learning media can be used by students. After students used interactive learning media in field trials, student responses were in the "Very Feasible" category with a percentage of 95.9%. Therefore the interactive media articulate storyline "BADANA" can be used as an alternative in the learning process which can overcome the lack of interest of students when learning mathematics, especially on flat material and its properties.
