Abstract

Medan is the most tourism town that is in much demand in Indonesia, both from domestic and foreign. The hotel has become an important means to support the activities of tourism or business. Hotel Santika Dyandra Medan is one of the four-star hotels and is quite prestigious, located in the city of Medan. One room that can not be separated from a hotel is the lobby area of the hotel which is the main facility. The interior design of the lobby space is generally focused on aspects of the function. But in its development of interior design has a wider outreach, one of which is an aspect of human behavior as userspace. The interior design of Hotel Santika Dyandra Lobby is closely related to the problem of human activity, which is like conducting the check-in, check-out, or just sit in the lobby lounge. There are three elements of a major factor in the design of the interior, namely human, space, and environment. This study aimed to determine whether human behavior shaping the function of Hotel Santika Lobby space or otherwise, by using the theory of behavior settings. This can be analyzed through a pattern of activity that formed on each mapping, where each pattern follows the application form from the lobby area itself, as well as the arrangement of the various furniture.

Abstract

The design of a building connection bridge at the main plaza is a crucial step in urban infrastructure development, enabling pedestrians to move safely and efficiently between various key points within an area. This study aims to understand the design of the connection bridge at the main plaza of Al-Amin Living Lab and Industrial Park in Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District, and how it will serve pedestrians. The research subject is the site location in Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, with the observed parameters being the physical and non-physical conditions of the design location. The results of this study show that the facilities and infrastructure of the connection bridge for the Mixed-Use Building of Al-Amin Living Lab and Industrial Park consist of circulation pathways connecting the Mixed-Use buildings and a viewing deck, and the design direction of the Mixed-Use Building of Al-Amin Living Lab and Industrial Park meets the criteria.

Abstract

Mixed Use Building is the combination of buildings with different functions, a mix of residential, commercial, and cultural buildings planned within a city. This research focuses on the design of a Mixed Use building, referring to the process of planning, illustrating, and developing a concept or idea for a building or physical structure. The aim of this research is to understand the design of the Al-Amin Living Lab and Industrial Park Mixed Use Building in Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District. The research material is the site location in Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, the needs of the academic community of Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi regarding research land, and the potential development of the area as a tourist facility, in this case, a mall and other buildings that will support the activities of the area and the surrounding community. The results of this research explain that the facilities and infrastructure of the Al-Amin Living Lab and Industrial Park Mixed Use Building consist of a café, coffee shop, meeting room, viewing area, and toilets, and that the design direction for the Al-Amin Living Lab and Industrial Park Mixed Use Building has met the criteria.
