Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction : Postoperative feeding after palatoplasty should be initiated immediately to maintain nutritional intake while preserving the palatal sutures to avoid trauma or tension that can lead to wound rupture. Currently, there is no consensus on post-palatoplasty preferred feeding method. This study aims to compare bottle versus syringe feeding in post-palatoplasty patients.Method : A systematic search was conducted in five databases namely PubMed, Embase, Scopus, ProQuest, and CINAHL, with the following keywords; palatoplasty, cleft palate repair, bottle feeding, syringe feeding, outcome, complication, growth, and nutrition. The selected studies were critically appraised using the Oxford CEBM (Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine) critical appraisal tools. Results: Two studies were included, with a total of 162 subjects. Both studies found that the formation of postoperative wound dehiscence and weight gain did not significantly differ between bottle and syringe groups. However, faster weight gain was observed in the bottle group. Habits and cultural factors could influence the outcomes of these studies. Conclusion: Bottle feeding is not significantly inferior to using syringe in terms of short-term postoperative complications, and can be used as an alternative feeding method for post-palatoplasty patients.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to test the influence of product quality, price perception and equity on consumers who are satisfied with the reliability of composite materials. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected from 200 respondents who were users of Rational Combi Oven through the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software to test the validity, reliability, structural model, and research hypothesis. The results of the study show that product excellence has a positive and significant effect on brand trust, while price perception and technological excellence do not have a significant effect on brand trust directly. Brand image has been proven to have a significant effect on brand trust. In addition, technological excellence has a significant effect on brand image, while price perception and product excellence have no significant effect on brand image. This research highlights the importance of quality control, competitive pricing strategies and consistent product design to improve customer satisfaction in the kitchen industry, especially Combi Oven cookware.

Abstract

Introduction. Anastomosis leakage is a defect in the intestinal wall at the anastomosis site after surgery. This condition is a serious complication causing increased morbidity and mortality. CRP is commonly used as an acute postoperative indicator after abdominal surgery. The use of CRP as an early predictor of anastomosis leakage after colorectal surgery is supported by several studies showing its good diagnostic value. However, using CRP as a biomarker is not standard at Cipto Mangunkusumo National Hospital. Therefore, this literature review aims to support the evidence for CRP in the early detection of anastomosis leakage after colorectal surgery. Method. This study is a literature review conducted by searching online databases, including PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ClinicalKey. Several key terms, such as "anastomosis leak," "C–Reactive Protein," "colorectal," "predictor," and "open surgery," were used. Results. Database searches yielded 445 articles, of which six studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in this review. These include one systematic review, two meta–analyses, and three prospective studies. Conclusion. CRP is a good early predictor for anastomosis leakage, with sensitivity ranging from 68% to 86%. The highest diagnostic value of CRP was observed between postoperative days 3 and 5.
