Abstract

This research is motivated by the covid-19 pandemic which is bad for education.Education in Indonesia decided to do distance learning. There are many obstacles in the implementation of remote defense that cause students' learning motivation to decrease.Research is needed to improve students' learning motivation, one of which is the provision of smart room literacy.This study aims 1) Designing and creating more literacy smart rooms that can be used by underprivileged students.2) Helping to provide facilities and infrastructure during distance learning.3) Improving students' learning motivation during distance learning. This research uses qualitative approach. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive.Then the research design used is survey research. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires.The result of the interview outlines the constraints experienced by parents and students is the lack of knowledge of technological advances and the availability of learning facilities thus lowering the motivation of students' learning with an average percentage of 93%.The results of the questionnaire broadly stated that the use of smart room literacy increases students' learning motivation during distance learning.With an average satisfaction percentage of 95%.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve organizational governance at Politeknik Harapan Bersama through the handling of official manuscripts. A community service approach is used to involve internal stakeholders of Politeknik Harapan Bersama in the process of improving organizational governance. This service involves the development of more effective official manuscript guidelines, training for administrative staff regarding the implementation of these guidelines, as well as assistance in the implementation and evaluation process. The results showed an improvement in administrative efficiency, accountability, and transparency in the organizational governance process at Politeknik Harapan Bersama. The positive impacts of this service include reduced administrative workload, increased compliance with applicable regulations, and increased employee satisfaction regarding administrative processes. In addition, external parties also experience increased comfort and speed in getting services from Politeknik Harapan Bersama. This service makes a real contribution to efforts to improve organizational governance in educational institutions. The practical implication is that there is a better understanding of the importance of official manuscripts in supporting the efficiency and transparency of administrative processes in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study is titled "Analysis of the Level of Digital Marketing Literacy Using the Experiential Learning Method Among Hospitality Students at Politeknik Harapan Bersama." The objective of this research is to evaluate and understand the level of digital marketing literacy possessed by hospitality students at Politeknik Harapan Bersama across various aspects, including the use of information technology, digital communication, online collaboration, and data security. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with questionnaires distributed to 26 students. The findings indicate that most students have an excellent level of digital marketing literacy, with an average percentage of 84.78%. However, there are still areas that need improvement, such as understanding digital ethics and selecting valid information. These findings provide valuable insights for developing more effective training programs to enhance digital skills in Hospitality Study Program.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance literacy culture among students through a short story writing workshop conducted at MAN 1 Brebes. The program was initiated in response to the low interest in reading and writing among teenagers. The training was carried out intensively using a project-based learning approach, emphasizing the creative writing process from planning and drafting to revision. Participants were encouraged to choose their own story themes to foster personal and emotional engagement in writing. Evaluation was conducted through pretests and posttests to measure improvement in writing skills. The results showed that 87% of participants experienced an increase in scores, particularly in understanding story structure, diction usage, and conflict development. Each student produced one short story, which was compiled into a digital anthology as the final product of the training. This activity proved effective in fostering literacy interest and improving students' writing abilities, and it is expected to serve as a model for similar training programs in other educational settings.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the impact of using the learning media video public service advertisement "Fruit and Vegetable Consumption Education" on the development of speaking skills of mentally retarded students at SLB N Brebes. This research adopted a quasi-experimental design approach, where there was a control class that underwent conventional learning and an experimental class that implemented learning using the video learning media of public service advertisements "Fruit and Vegetable Consumption Education". Data was collected through oral speaking skills tests before and after treatment. The results of this research show that the public service advertisement video learning media "Fruit and Vegetable Consumption Education" significantly improves students' speaking skills compared to conventional learning. Students who engage in learning using this method achieve greater improvements in indicators such as pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Thus, the learning media of the public service advertisement video "Fruit and Vegetable Consumption Education" has an effect on the speaking skills of mentally retarded students.
