Abstract

Development of environmentally based practicum guides was motivated by the lack of use of practicum guides as support for practicum learning and also the practicum learning at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Al- Kautsar Al-Akbar Medan which were inadequate, such as learning that were no longer usable/expired so they could not be used. during practicum. Research on the development of an environmentally based practicum guide on acid base learning at MAS Al-Kautsar Al-Akbar Medan aims to determine the validity of the practicum guide, teacher responses and student responses to the environmentally based practicum guide developed on acid base material at MAS Al-Kautsar Al -Akbar Medan. This research uses the research and development method (Research and Development/R&D) referring to the ADDIE development model, the stages that researchers must carry out include the analysis stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage (implementation), as well as the evaluation stage. The results of the research obtained in calculating the average percentage of validator assessments were 82.6% for the teacher response questionnaire, 98% while for students it was 95%. Based on the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the environmentally based practicum guide on acid-base material is very valid for use at MAS Al-Kautsar Al-Akbar Medan.

Abstract

The learning process carried out so far at MAN 4 Aceh Besar only uses printed books. Based on interviews obtained from chemistry teachers, it was stated that the printed books available at the school have not been able to improve students' understanding of the material on elemental chemistry. This study aims to produce a valid, practical and effective elemental chemistry learning module. This study uses the R&D (Research and Development) product development research method with the 4D model. The subjects of this study were students of class XII MIA 1 MAN 4 Aceh Besar. The results of the study obtained the validity of the module with a very valid category, the results of the student practicality test were obtained from the practicality questionnaire with a fairly practical category, the results of the effectiveness test were obtained from the results of the student's completeness posttest with a very effective category. Based on the results obtained from the validity, practicality and effectiveness tests, it was concluded that the elemental chemistry module based on scientific literacy at MAN 4 Aceh Besar was included in the valid, practical and effective categories used in the teaching and learning process for elemental chemistry material.

Abstract

Abstract: Waste problems are a crucial issue that threatens the balance of the environmental ecosystem, requiring educational efforts and real actions from the younger generation. This community service activity aims to enhance the hard skills of young people in organic waste management through eco-enzyme making training. The method used is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involves lectures, demonstrations, and direct practice. The partners in this activity are 30 students from Bireuen nature school. The evaluation system applied uses pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the increase in students' understanding and skills. The evaluation results show an 80% increase in participants' hard skills in making eco-enzymes that are effective and safe for the environment. After the presentation of the material and the students conducting eco-enzyme making training, there was an increase from the pre-test results of 14.66% to 93.34% from the post-test results. Through this activity, it is hoped that the younger generation can become active agents of change in organic waste management in the community.
