Abstract

Sea grapes have high economic potential. The development of sea grape cultivation is inseparable from its cultivation techniques. The research objective was to determine the daily growth rate and chlorophyll content of sea grapes in different cultivation techniques. The research was conducted from September to November 2020 at the Polytechnic of Marine and Fisheries, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. The treatment in this study was a different cultivation technique with 3 treatments, namely by spreading it (scattering technique), using the substrate (substrate technique), and combining the spread and substrate (combined technique). The results showed no difference in daily growth rate and chlorophyll content even though using different cultivation techniques. The intensity of sunlight more influences the daily growth rate and chlorophyll content. Water quality parameters during the study supported the daily growth rate.

Abstract

Salah satu tumbuhan yang berklorofil dan tumbuhnya berupa thalus adalah makroalga, alga mampu hidup pada perairan, dan meiliki pertumbuhan yang sangat cepat dengan berfotosintetis. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kandungan pigmen alga Caulerpa sp di kepulauan Kei. Metode penelitian pigmen alga dengan metode kolom kromotografi . hasil yang diperoleh untuk memisahkan pigmen klorofil pada alga Caulerpa sp dengan menggunakan kromotografi kolom adalah b-karoten, xantofil, karatenoin, klorofil a dan klorofil b.

Abstract

One of the causes of failure in vaname shrimp cultivation is poor management of water quality during the production period. Therefore, water quality management during the maintenance process is absolutely necessary. To study water quality management in growing white vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) at PT. Aneka Pond Oceana Nusantara, NTB. Knowing the obstacles and solutions in managing water quality during practical activities at PT. Aneka Pond Oceana Nusantara, NTB. The technique for rearing vaname shrimp (Litopenaues vannamei) is as follows: preparing the container; the container is filled with water; fry selection; feeding interval; The results of water quality management strategies for vaname shrimp cultivation include: temperature (27 -28℃), morning brightness (30-118 cm), afternoon (28-108 cm). Morning pH (7.7- 8.2) afternoon (7.8-8.6), morning DO (5.87-6.18 ppm) evening (4.82-5.92 ppm), salinity (30- 33).
