Abstract

ABSTRAK:Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa asing sudah menjadi tren dan kebutuhan di era saat ini. Maka,  inovasi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sangat penting dilakukan sesuai dengan level pembelajar. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah pemahaman pembelajar dalam menguasai bahasa Indonesia. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan pembelajaran terintegrasi berbasis pengenalan lintas budaya. Oleh karena itu, digagaslah media AWAN ASA. Aplikasi ini berbasis software macromedia flash sehingga mudah untuk diaplikasikan dan interaktif bagi pengguna. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif persentase. Metode dan media aplikasi AWAN ASA yang dipakai dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa asing terintegrasi dengan pengenalan lintas budaya, didapati hasil keterampilan menulis siswa cukup bagus, dengan rata-rata mendapatkan nilai di kisaran 70 dan mampu menulis konjungsi dari 8-18 kata. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode dan aplikasi yang digunakan untuk mahasiswa BIPA UNESA benar-benar sesuai bagi mereka, serta metode dan media yang dipakai mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan mereka mengenai bahasa dan kebudayaan Indonesia.KATA KUNCI: Aplikasi; Bahasa Asing; Lintas Budaya;Pembelajaran. BIPA’S LEARNING WITH AWAN ASA APPLICATION BASED ON CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING  ABSTRACT: Learning Indonesian as a foreign language has become a trend and a necessity in the current era. Thus, it is very important to make innovations in learning Indonesian based on the level of the learner. This research aims to facilitate the learner's understanding of mastering Indonesian through integrated learning based on cross-cultural introduction. Therefore, the AWAN ASA media was initiated. AWAN ASA is an Indonesian language learning application which is integrated with wayang stories as Indonesian culture. The research method used quantitative descriptive research. The method and media of the AWAN ASA application is integrated with cross-cultural introduction, which was found that the results of students' writing skills were quite good, with an average score in the range of 70 and being able to write conjunctions of 8-18 words. It means, the methods and applications used in learning language for BIPA UNESA students are really suitable for them. Therefore, the methods and media can improve understanding and their knowledge of Indonesian language and culture.KEYWORDS:Application; Cros-Cultural Understanding; Foreign Language; Learning.

Abstract

Die Küchenuhr merupakan cerpen karya Wolfgang Borchert yang cukup terkenal, banyak dibaca dan diterjemahkan ke dalam berbagai bahasa, serta memiliki banyak deiksis-deiksis dalam narasinya. Frekuensi kemunculan deiksis yang cukup banyak ini merupakan salah satu ciri khas bahasa pada masa Trümmerliteratur, sehingga referen-referen yang ditunjukkan melalui deiksis dalam cerpen sangat mudah disalahpahami oleh pembaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bentuk, fungsi, dan makna deiksis dalam cerpen berjudul Die Küchenuhr karya Wolfgang Borchert. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori pragmatik dari Huang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk deiksis persona dalam cerpen Die Küchenuhr terdapat 3 jenis, yaitu deiksis persona pertama, kedua, dan ketiga. Sementara deiksis spasial ditemukan dalam bentuk leksem da dan hier. Deiksis temporal ditemukan dalam bentuk leksem jetzt dan kalimat dengan kala lampau (perfekt). Jika ditinjau secara fungsi, deiksis persona secara umum memiliki fungsi sebagai subjek dalam kalimat dan menjadi referen untuk penunjukan kata ganti orang pertama, kedua, dan ketiga. Sementara deiksis spasial berfungsi sebagai adverbia tempat yang menunjukan referen suatu lokasi tertentu yang dapat berubah-ubah bergantung kognisi penutur. Deiksis temporal yang berfungsi sebagai adverbia waktu merujuk kepada kapan tuturan diujarkan dan siapa pusat tuturan tersebut (berpusat kepada waktu tuturan atau penutur) dengan leksem waktu yang digunakan, sehingga waktunya dapat berubah-ubah. Dalam kasus-kasus tertentu, khususnya pada leksem non-deiktis, kemudian penggunaan leksem tempat yang beralih fungsi sebagai konjungsi dalam kalimat, dan penggunaan leksem waktu dengan angka tertentu (seperti tanggal, jam, tahun) akan membuat semua leksem tersebut bersifat non-deiktis.

Abstract

This study examines the necessity of continuous training through re-skilling and up-skilling for employees within Indonesian companies. As the global market evolves, technological advancements and changing business landscapes require firms to enhance their workforce capabilities to remain competitive. The research aims to elucidate whether ongoing professional development is crucial for organizational success in Indonesia. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative approaches (percentage-based), the study integrates survey results on employee competency improvement needs and challenges with existing literature. The study's findings indicate a significant correlation between continuous training programs and enhanced employee performance and career development, which subsequently positively impact company progress. The conclusions drawn from this research emphasize the critical role of sustained training in empowering employees and driving business growth. Employees can develop their skills through training programs, which benefits the company.

Abstract

This research aims to elucidate the inferential meanings in the utterances of Luis Moreno Ocampo, an Argentine lawyer who served as the first Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) from 2003 to 2012, overseeing investigations into war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity; and the UpFront host during the interview. The implications of this study are to assist readers, particularly viewers and listeners of the UpFront program, in understanding the inferential meanings of the speakers, thereby enabling the broader community to fully comprehend the speakers' intentions and avoid misinterpretations of the discourse presented. The research method employed is qualitative research with a contextual meaning analysis (pragmatic) approach, following the relevance theory by Sperber and Wilson (2012a). The results of the research indicate that The 1st Speaker (and continuely written as SPK 1, refers to Up Front program hostaims to validate claims of Israeli involvement in war crimes and genocide during the UpFront program, by highlighting the pursuit of justice in the Israel-Palestine conflict. SPK 2 (the 2nd speaker, refers to Luis Moreno Ocampo) offers a broader perspective by acknowledging the responsibility shared between Hamas and Israel for the atrocities committed, rather than solely blaming one party. SPK 2 also intends to emphasize the challenges faced by international legal institutions such as the International Criminal Court in holding perpetrators accountable. Inferentially, SPK 2 seeks global cooperation to combat genocide and promote peace, particularly emphasizing the importance of collective action based on solidarity in addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Abstract

Job Creation Law Number 6 of 2023 was designed to revise and replace Job Creation Law Number 4 of 2022, which had previously replaced Job Creation Law Number 11 of 2020. Despite the primary objective of this law to address deficiencies in the previous laws, significant potential linguistic issues still exist, namely lexical and grammatical ambiguities. This is evident in several articles whose meanings remain ambiguous, dual, and contradictory with other articles or laws, opening opportunities for diverse interpretations and creating legal uncertainty. This study aims to delineate the forms of lexical and grammatical ambiguity in the Job Creation Law Number 6 of 2023. The research method applied is qualitative research method, focusing on analyzing micro discourse structure, encompassing lexical and grammatical meanings. The research findings reveal that several words and phrases are prone to misinterpretation. Lexical ambiguity is found in the words 'dapat' (can/may), 'memperhatikan' (considering), and phrases such as 'tidak mampu' (unable), 'istirahat panjang' (long rest), 'Paling Banyak' (most), and 'Paling Lama' (longest). In contrast, grammatical ambiguity is observed in phrases like 'Serta harus' (and must) and 'Diberitahu' (informed). These ambiguities are present in Article 17 Paragraph 1, Article 81 Paragraph 33, Article 81 Paragraph 25, Article 42 Paragraph 3, Article 17 Paragraph 32, and the explanatory section of Article 8 Part 33. Based on the research findings, it is crucial to propose a review or re-evaluation of articles that have the potential for controversy due to lexical or grammatical ambiguity.

Abstract

The public image of Kediri, which is still not optimal, has resulted in fewer visitors to specific tourist sectors. Additionally, poor management and marketing, along with inadequate investor absorption, are also complex issues. Furthermore, in some tourism sectors, Kediri still has many shortcomings, ranging from underutilizing existing tourism potential to fluctuations in visitor numbers, leading to a decline in the community's economic growth. Given these potentials, developing a sustainable tourism strategy with effective and efficient marketing is crucial to promote Kediri's public image locally and nationally. This research aims to describe the development of 'Dolan Yuk' as a marketing and tourism promotion platform and a means for the broader community to invest in the tourism sector, with a key focus on preserving and promoting the local culture. The research method used is a qualitative approach based on the ADDIE model. The research findings indicate that developing 'Dolan Yuk' is a stability strategy to develop Kediri's tourism potential better by attracting investors and visitors through various online offerings. This strategy is expected to preserve local culture while improving community welfare through tourism.

Abstract

English as an International language is a necessity in this era. However, in its implementation in elementary school, it was very difficult to teach English to children. Thus, an innovation was needed. One of them was learning English integrated with Indonesian culture. However, on the other hand, there were competencies that must be achieved by students in elementary school, namely oral skills, while the existing methods focus more on vocabulary and grammar. Therefore, the Total Physical Response with Communicative Approach (TPRCA) method based on the introduction of Indonesian culture was proposed. The purpose of this research was to develop the TPRCA method based on the introduction of Indonesian culture for students in elementary schools and how it is implemented. The research method used was ADDIE with a literature study approach. Data was collected through literature study, then analyzed using qualitative methods such as reduction and results analysis. There are 5 methods such as giving orders, role playing, dialogue, storytelling, reading and writing. The competencies to be achieved were communicative, able to understand the text, able to write a simple summary, able to mention things related to Indonesian culture in English, and able to give reciprocity to the commands given in English. The conclusion was that the development stage starts from analysis, competency adjustment, formulation of skills and indicators, validity testing, to the application and evaluation stages. The application started from the teacher explaining the method used, the implementation of learning, till the test stage.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a virtual learning platform that integrates Indonesian language learning with the introduction of Indonesian culture called "ICULTOURE.ID." The research method used is the ADDIE model development (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research results indicate that from the needs analysis, it was revealed that there is a significant demand from teachers and students for more innovative and engaging learning methods. Additionally, curriculum studies show the existence of competencies and indicators that support the integration of the Indonesian language with cultural introduction. Parties involved in the development and implementation include teachers, students, technology developers, curriculum experts, and research teams. Teachers need to be involved in introducing and managing the use of this platform in the classroom, while students need to be engaged in providing feedback on design and content. Technology developers are responsible for developing technical infrastructure and platform features that support interactive learning. Curriculum experts offer valuable insights in developing learning materials that align with applicable curriculum standards. The research team plays a role in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of this platform. It is hoped that the development of "ICULTOURE.ID" can provide innovative solutions to enhance Indonesian language learning and cultural introduction in high schools and contribute to efforts to revitalize Indonesian culture among the younger generation.
