Abstract

The condition of the children in the Lake Sentani area is quite aprehensive. Therefore, the Isa Almasih Pegangsaan Church through the Charis Mission House is moved to serve the children there. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method which is a study to obtain descriptive data in the form of words and pictures. By serving children through calistung (reading, writing and arithmetic), counseling and spirituality, it is hoped that children in the Sentani Lake area can be fluent in calistung and have the character of Christ. In other words, by blessing children means preparing a good future leader for a nation or country.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges faced by adolescents aged 9-14 during puberty, including physical, emotional, and psychological changes. Many adolescents struggle to maintain morality in accordance with their faith-based values. Psalm 119:9 poses the question of how a young person can keep their way pure, providing a foundation for a biblical approach to help adolescents navigate the turbulence of puberty. The purpose of this study is to explore the application of a biblical approach based on Psalm 119:9 in addressing the issues of puberty. The study offers theological and practical perspectives for parents, teachers, and church leaders in guiding adolescents. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach and biblical text analysis, specifically of Psalm 119:9. Surveys and interviews with parents, religious teachers, and adolescents were conducted to gather empirical data on the application of biblical principles. The findings indicate that a deep understanding of Psalm 119:9 helps adolescents align their behavior with biblical teachings. This approach can serve as an effective tool in helping adolescents maintain moral integrity amidst modern challenges. In conclusion, the biblical approach based on Psalm 119:9 is relevant in guiding adolescents through puberty and reinforcing their morality according to Christian faith teachings.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAs children of God, youth are endowed with the seeds of Christ's character within. Therefore, in order to grow and maintain the character of Christ in him, he must understand his identity as a follower of Christ. Therefore, Christian youth must provide a real foundation where they will not be influenced by the surrounding influences, especially the influence that is on social media. So that when they enter a period of identity crisis, Christian youth are ready to take their journey to find their identity. The existence of this journal aims to reduce Christian teenagers who experience "identity crisis" due to their environment, especially in social media. Also so that people who want to help their friends or teenagers to be able to go through the ups and downs of youth with a self-concept and self-identity in accordance with the Christian Faith. The benefits obtained from the journal are a guidebook that can help them through their teenage years so that Christian Teens or children who are heading to Teenagers and parents who have Teenagers for them can understand and anticipate things that will happen to them and build certainly a strong foundation of the Christian Faith in order to be able to go through that period without experiencing an "identity crisis". Key words: Identity, Social media, Identity crisis, Christian youth, Self concept. ABSTRAKSebagai anak Tuhan, pemuda diberkahi dengan benih karakter Kristus dalam diri. Oleh karena itu, untuk mendapatkan tumbuh dan pertahankan karakter Kristus di dalam dirinya, maka dia harus memahami identitasnya sebagai pengikut Kristus. Maka dari itu para remaja Kristen harus dibekali betul-betul fondasi dimana mereka tidak akan terkecohkan oleh pengaruh sekitar terutama pengaruh yang ada pada sosial media. Sehingga pada saat mereka memasuki periode krisis identitas, para remaja Kristen sudah siap untuk menempuh perjalanan mereka untuk mencari identitas sejati dirinya. Adanya jurnal ini bertujuan agar mengurangi Remaja Kristen yang mengalami identity crisis” akibat lingkungan mereka terutama dalam sosial media. Juga agar para orang yang ingin membantu teman atau anak remaja mereka untuk dapat melewati masa-masa naik turunnya keremajaan dengan konsep diri dan identitas diri yang sesuai dengan Iman Kristen. Manfaat yang didapat dari jurnal yaitu sebuah buku panduan yang dapat membantu mereka melalui masa remaja mereke agar para Remaja Kristen atau anak yang sedang menuju ke Remaja serta orang tua yang memiliki anak Remaja untuk mereka dapat memahami dan mengantisipasi terhadap hal-hal yang akan menimpa mereka dan tentunya membangun sebuah fondasi Iman Kristen yang kuat agar bisa melalui masa itu tanpa mengalami “identity crisis”. Kata kunci: Identitas, Sosial media, Krisis identitas, Remaja Kristen, Konsep diri.

Abstract

Adolescence is the transition from childhood to adulthood, which usually occurs between the ages of 10 and 21. In this phase, teenagers are very easily influenced by social media, which has now become an inseparable part of their lives. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach and analysis of existing literature. Various parties, including parents, schools, and churches, play an important role in reducing the adverse effects of social media on teenagers. Cooperation between all parties is needed to take preventive measures so that teenagers are not influenced by negative content on social media and can maintain their identity in accordance with Christian values.

Abstract

Marriage today is highly vulnerable to divorce due to unresolved conflicts. Husbands and wives need to understand the causes of conflict and how to resolve them in order to have a harmonious married life based on the Christian faith perspective. The method used in writing this journal is a literature study, drawing from statistical data, surrounding phenomena, and ways to resolve conflict according to the Bible. Through understanding the causes and solutions to conflict, it is hoped that this can benefit married couples by helping them build a strong marriage and grow in their knowledge and application of God's Word in their marital life.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana gereja dapat mengakomodasi upacara adat Suku Tengger, khususnya upacara unan-unan, dalam konteks kontekstualisasi Injil Kristen. Upacara unan-unan yang melibatkan roh leluhur dan sesaji sering kali bertentangan dengan ajaran Kristen, namun gereja dapat menggunakan pendekatan kontekstualisasi Injil untuk tetap relevan dengan budaya setempat tanpa mengorbankan iman Kristen. Kontekstualisasi Injil adalah usaha untuk menyampaikan pesan Kristen dengan cara yang menghormati budaya lokal, melalui adaptasi bentuk ibadah atau penggunaan simbol lokal yang menggambarkan ajaran Kristen. Dengan cara ini, gereja dapat menginjili masyarakat Tengger secara lebih efektif, menghindari sinkretisme, dan menjaga kebenaran ajaran Injil.

Abstract

Tekanan hidup modern berdampak pada kesejahteraan mental, emosional, dan rohani jemaat, memunculkan tantangan seperti konflik pernikahan, krisis identitas, serta pergumulan iman. Gereja memiliki tanggung jawab untuk menyediakan bimbingan pastoral yang tidak hanya berfokus pada pemecahan masalah psikologis, tetapi juga pada pemulihan rohani berbasis kasih dan kebenaran Kristus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi literatur dan analisis teologis terhadap prinsip-prinsip bimbingan pastoral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling pastoral yang efektif harus berlandaskan pada kasih dan pemulihan dalam Kristus, pendampingan berbasis Firman Tuhan, serta keterlibatan komunitas gereja. Gereja perlu mengembangkan model bimbingan pastoral yang holistik melalui konseling individu, kelompok pendampingan, dan pelatihan pemimpin gereja. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi bagi pengembangan teologi pastoral serta panduan bagi gereja dalam mengimplementasikan strategi konseling yang lebih relevan di era modern.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh Perkumpulan Batak Kristen Tanjung Pinang (PEMBAKRIST) Jabodetabek di Tanjung Pinang, Riau, mencerminkan pelaksanaan nilai-nilai pelayanan kasih dalam konteks sosial dan spiritual. Program ini terdiri dari pelayanan kesehatan gratis, perayaan Natal bersama, dan kunjungan kasih keluarga. Pelayanan kesehatan menargetkan kelompok lansia dan berhasil mengidentifikasi kebutuhan kesehatan yang signifikan. Perayaan Natal memperkuat spiritualitas kolektif dan membangun kebersamaan antarjemaat. Kunjungan kasih keluarga mengaktualisasikan pelayanan pastoral kepada anggota jemaat yang mengalami kesulitan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu pelayanan sosial berbasis iman Kristen dan dapat menjadi model pelayanan holistik berbasis komunitas. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan manfaat jangka panjang dalam membentuk komunitas yang sehat secara jasmani dan rohani serta resilien secara sosial
