Abstract

Uric acid is a natural antioxidant produced by the human body, but it can trigger rheumatoid arthritis if the amount exceeds the normal threshold with typical symptoms in the form of pain accompanied by swelling in the joint area, even in advanced conditions there is joint stiffness. Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle or lemongrass is an effective plant to reduce joint pain and swelling. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of warm lemongrass foot bath therapy on changes in the scale of joint pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. This study is a pre-experimental study with one group pre-test and post-test design without a control group, changes after two days of soaking warm lemongrass feet by observing changes in the pain scale of 23 respondents. The Wilcoxon test results showed that there was a change in the pain scale after intervention with a value of p = 0.01, which means that warm scented lemongrass foot soak affects reducing the pain scale of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The warm sensation of the foot soaking intervention provides a peripheral vasodilation effect which causes a decrease in joint pain in inflamed tissues, the chemical effect of citronellal compounds is around 32-45%, geraniol 12-18%, and citronellol 12-25% in citronella plants are also proven to play a role in reducing pain. This study concluded that warm lemongrass foot soaking therapy affected the changes in the scale of joint pain in Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Abstract

Abstrak. Keamanan pasien menjadi perhatian yang paling mendesak dalam pelayanan kesehatan karena kurangnya budaya pelaporan untuk kejadian keselamatan pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memastikan bagaimana sikap perawat terkait penerapan keselamatan pasien selama epidemi COVID-19 di rumah sakit berhubungan satu sama lain.Kecamatan Bungku Selatan, Salangkapaku. Penelitian ini menggunakan lembar kuesioner sebagai bagian dari metodologi pengambilan sampel untuk penelitian kuantitatif 50 responden, semua perawat di Rumah Sakit Salabangkapaku, menjadi populasi penelitian. Responden yang mempunyai sifat Baik sejumlah 35 (67,3%), Sedangkan responden yang mempunyai sikap kurang baik sejumlah 15 (28,8%). Responden yang mempunyai penerpan Patient Safety baik sejumlah 22 (42,3%), Responden paling sedikit (28; 53,8%) memiliki penerapan keselamatan pasien yang buruk. Uji chi square digunakan untuk uji studi, dan hasilnya adalah 0,04 (0,05. Saran : Diharapkan peneliti untuk semua waktu menggunakan Standar pelayanan untuk keselamatan pasien. Abstract.Patient safety is one of the most pressing issues in health care because of the lack of a reporting culture for patient safety incidents. The purpose of this study was to determine how nurses' attitudes regarding the implementation of patient safety during the COVID-19 epidemic in hospitals were related to each other. Bungku Selatan District, Salangkapaku. This study used a questionnaire sheet as part of the sampling methodology for quantitative research. 50 respondents, all nurses at Salabangkapaku Hospital, became the study population. Respondents who have a good attitude are 35 (67.3%), while respondents who have a bad attitude are 15 (28.8%). Respondents who have good patient safety implementation are 22 (42.3%), the least respondents (28; 53.8%) have poor patient safety implementation. The chi square test was used for the study test, and the result was 0.04 (0.05. There is a relationship between nurses' attitudes towards the application of patient safety during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Salabangkapaku Hospital, South Bungku District. Researchers are expected to always use patient safety standards in service.
