Abstract

Anemia is the most common nutritional problem and its risk increases in pregnancy and is associated with inadequate iron intake. The prevalence of anemic pregnant women is still quite high, especially in developing countries. Aimed to analyze the effectiveness of Fe absorption from dragon fruit and papaya on the increase in Hb levels of pregnant women who take Fe tablets. This study was a quasy experimental with a two group pre-post test design conducted on 48 pregnant women registered at the Sukarejo Health Center, Tanjung Jabung Barat. Participants were divided into the Dragon fruit intervention group of 24 mothers, and the other 24 were included in the Papaya fruit group. The analysis showed a significant difference in Hb levels in the pre and post test Dragon fruit group with a value of p=0.000, as well as in the Papaya fruit group with a value of p=0.042. Giving dragon fruit is more effective than giving papaya fruit to increase the Hb level of pregnant women who consume Fe tablets.

Abstract

Malnutrition is the cause of anemia which reaches a percentage of around 85.5% which is characterized by impaired hemoglobin synthesis. In Indonesia, many teenagers do not get used to eating breakfast and do not consume foods that contain nutrients up to 50%, One way to overcome anemia in adolescents can be done by consuming beet juice. This research is a pre-experimental one group pre test post test study which was conducted to determine the effect of giving beet juice on the hemoglobin levels of adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 48 Muaro Jambi Regency in 2024. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 48 Muaro Jambi Regency in January - June 2024. The research population was all 78 young women at SMP Negeri 48 Muaro Jambi Regency with a sample of 44 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling technique. The test used in this research was the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research showed that the average hemoglobin level of adolescent girls before consuming beetroot juice was 10.59 gr/dl, the average hemoglobin level of adolescent girls after consuming beetroot juice was 11.85 gr/dl. There is an effect of consuming beetroot juice on hemoglobin levels in young women with ρ value = 0.000 (ρ<0.05). Beetroot juice has an effect on reducing hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. It is hoped that health officials can provide health education regarding the administration of beetroot juice to increase hemoglobin levels.

Abstract

Cakupan pemberian ASI Eksklusif di Provinsi Jambi pada tahun 2020 sebesar 65,22%, pada tahun 2021 sebesar 71,37%, pada tahun 2022 sebesar 27,14%. Angka tersebut belum mencapai target program tahun 2022 yaitu 50%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemberian sari kacang kedelai dan sari kacang hijau terhadap kelancaran produksi ASI pada ibu menyusui di Desa Koto Majidin Kabupaten Kerinci. Desain penelitian Quasi ekperiment. Populasi penelitian ini semua ibu menyusui bayi usia 1-3 bulan di Desa Koto Majidin, teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling sampel 30 responden, 15 untuk kelompok konsumsi sari kacang kedelai dan 15 responden kelompok konsumsi sari kacang hijau selama 7 hari sebanyak 250 ml perhari saat pagi hari. Data di analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji mann-whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Rata-rata produksi ASI sebesar 54,47 sebelum diberikan sari kacang kedelai, (2) Rata-rata produksi ASI sebesar 90,20 sesudah diberikan sari kacang kedelai, (3) Rata-rata produksi ASI sebesar 52,27 sebelum diberikan sari kacang hijau, (4) Rata-rata produksi ASI sebesar 70,87 sesudah diberikan sari kacang hijau, (5) Ada pengaruh pemberian sari kacang kedelai terhadap kelancaran produksi ASI pada ibu menyusui dengan diperoleh (p=0,000), (6) Ada pengaruh pemberian sari kacang hijau terhadap kelancaran produksi ASI pada ibu menyusui dengan diperoleh (p=0,001), (7) Ada perbedaan rerata pemberian sari kacang kedelai dan sari kacang hijau terhadap kelancaran produksi ASI pada ibu menyusui di Desa Koto Majidin Kabupaten Kerinci (p=0,015). Kesimpulan penelitianbahwa pemberian sari kacang kedelai dan sari kacang hijau dapat membantu meningkatkan produksi ASI pada ibu menyusui.
