Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the role headmaster of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Huda Sleman Yogyakarta in the Covid 19 pandemic. This research is descriptive research. The research subjects are all members of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Huda using random sampling. Data collection techniques are in the form of observations, interviews and documentations. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study are as follows: First, the headmaster of Al Huda Madrasah Ibtidaiyah has succeeded in motivating teachers and monitoring online learning. Second, the headmaster Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Huda has succeeded in providing socialization, guidance and assistance to students while studying at home. Third, the headmaster Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Huda succeeded in involving parents, committees, in collaboration with kompita to help parents and surrounding communities in the socio- economic field.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menumbuhkan budaya literasi pada siswa kelas I MI An Nuur. Salah satu kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa kelas satu adalah kemampuan membaca dan menulis. Membaca merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang mendasari siswa untuk menguasai keterampilan-keterampilan berbahasa selanjutnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus tindakan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I MI An Nuur. Instrumen yang digunakan lembar observasi yang meliputi komponen dasar kemampuan membaca dan menulis. Setelah data diperoleh maka, dilakukan analisis data dari siklus I sampai dengan siklus III. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian menumbuhkan budaya literasi pada siswa kelas I MI An Nuur menunjukkan bahwa budaya literasi dari siklus ke siklus mengalami peningkatan. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dari analisis data yang diperoleh dari siklus pertama sampai dengan siklus ke III. Siklus pertama menunjukan 57% siswa kelas I MI An Nuur yang sudah bisa membaca dan menulis. Siklus kedua mengalami kenaikan menjadi 64% siswa kelas I yang sudah mampu membaca dan menulis. Pada siklus ke tiga menunjukkan ada 86% siswa yang sudah mampu membaca dan menulis.Kata Kunci: Literasi, siswa kelas 1 MI

Abstract

This study aims to improve first-grade students’ numeracy skills in subtraction operations at MI Ma’arif Kediwung through the implementation of the role-playing method. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using a cyclical model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 10 first-grade students, comprising five boys and five girls. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed by calculating mean scores, learning mastery percentages, and N-Gain, while qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicated a consistent improvement with a moderate gain category. The class mean score increased from 62 in the pre-cycle to 73 in Cycle I and 85 in Cycle II, while the percentage of students achieving mastery improved from 30% to 90%. The buying-and-selling role-play simulation using coin media helped students understand subtraction concepts in a concrete and contextual manner. Therefore, the role-playing method proved effective in enhancing early-grade students’ numeracy skills and may serve as an alternative instructional strategy for mathematics learning in Islamic elementary schools.
