Abstract

The city of Jakarta is famous because the traffic jams, so the transportation sector needs special attention. Based on data from the Jakarta Transportation Management Agency, of the 47.5 million trips in Jakarta City, only 24% used public transportation. The Jakarta City Government has provided public transportation modes, namely the MRT. This mode of transportation offers a basic concept of TOD, area around the 400 meter buffer from the station can be accessed by walking. This concept has been developed in various cities on the Continent of Europe and America. The space conditions in a TOD based area can be assessed using the TOD Index measurement. Each TOD Index criterion has its own indicators. This study uses 8 criteria and 18 indicators that can measure the value of the TOD Index at each MRT station. Processing data is using spatial processing so that each indicator can be analyzed holistically from a spatial perspective. The TOD area of Bendungan Hilir Station is a station with the highest TOD value, amounting to 0.71. TOD Station in Lebak Bulus Station takes the lowest TOD Index value of 0.31. The TOD Index’s value at each station can be influenced by the weight of each indicator and criteria. Through this research, it is hoped that each policyholder can pay attention to every indicator on the station that is deemed necessary to be improved if needed for a TOD-based area that is in accordance with the concept of a smart city

Abstract

The lack of train station facilities influences the passengers' deviant behavior. This paper aims to analyze the Pattern of Commuter Line passengers' behavior in Duri Station. In collecting data regarding the passengers' behavior, we observed the passengers using the Place Centeres Mapping method. This observation technique aims to understand how people utilize or accommodate their behavior at a particular time and location in the train station. This research model is divided into two stages. The first stage consists of observation and semi-structured interviews with the passengers. The second stage examines the passengers' behavior based on location within the train station. In this study, we analyzed the data through data triangulation and spatial analysis, along with several theoretical discussions about where, when, and why the passengers conduct deviant behavior. The results showed that passengers' deviant behavior was based on three components of the station zones: the arrival zone, main facilities zone, and platform zone. The main facilities and platform zones are more prone to passengers' deviant behavior. The most common deviant behaviors are pickpocketing and verbal harassment, whereas the least deviant is sitting on the platform floors. These deviant behaviors occur mainly due to the fact that during peak hours, there are less security guards than there are passengers.

Abstract

This study explored the changes in the chili value chain in Gunungkidul Regency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with chili farmers, collectors, traders, and buyers in Gunungkidul Regency. The research results show that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all stages of the chili value chain in Gunungkidul Regency. The actors in the chili value chain in Gunungkidul Regency have successfully adapted to face disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic by using information technology to communicate between actors and obtain market price information. Before the pandemic, Gunungkidul Regency was one of the largest chili producers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. However, due to the pandemic, chili production has decreased drastically with chili price volatility remaining. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the chili value chain in Gunungkidul Regency. Nevertheless, the actors in the chili value chain have successfully adapted to face disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic by using information technology.
