Abstract

The main human communication tool is language which is used as an exchange of information between people, be it arguments, ideas or feelings. The use of language in people's daily lives can affect articulation in communicating and interacting between humans. Diversity in language creates its own uniqueness in communicating. The use of the language of the people in the tourist village of Belimbing Island is greatly influenced by the environment. This is what causes the mixed dialect used by the Belimbing Island villagers to be very unique and diverse. The purpose of this research is to know and study the diversity of languages ​​used by the people in the tourist village of Belimbing Island and to describe the Dialect and Code Mixing of the speech of the people in Wista Village, Belimbing Island. The method used is descriptive qualitative and sociolinguistic approach. The results of the study indicate the use of dialect and code mixing in communication carried out by the people in the tourist village of Belimbing Island.

Abstract

Writing is a skill that requires intensive practice. Writing skills will improve if done consistently until completion. A process that is undertaken becomes something that must be considered to see the improvement of the activities that have been carried out. In this case, the writing skills of procedure texts in junior high school students still do not show the correct writing of procedure texts. This research applies project-based learning to write procedure texts with Malay culture content. This project-based learning is a learning model that focuses on students in improving the skills of analyzing systematically, structured and thorough in achieving goals to produce a project. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental method. The data in this study is the value of student writing which is analyzed using statistical analysis. The result of this study shows that project-based learning can improve the writing skill of procedure text.AbstrakMenulis merupakan keterampilan yang membutuhkan latihan secara intensif. Kemampuan menulis akan meningkat jika dilakukan secara konsisten sampai selesai. Suatu proses yang dijalani menjadi sesuatu yang harus diperhatikan untuk melihat peningkatan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan. Dalam hal ini, keterampilan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa di SMP masih belum menunjukkan penulisan teks prosedur yang benar. Penelitian ini menerapkan pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur yang berbasis proyek bermuatan budaya melayu riau. Pembelajaran berbasis proyek ini merupakan model pembelajaran yang berfokus pada siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menganalisis secara sistematis, terstruktur dan teliti dalam mencapai tujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu proyek. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode ekperimen. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai dari tulisan siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur.

Abstract

Background. Richard Eliezer's confession after the verdict in the Rosi program on Kompas TV attracted public and media attention. This confession contains complex dimensions in terms of legal, social, and psychological aspects that deserve further analysis. The discourse that occurs in this program reflects the dynamics of power and ideology that influence public perception. Purpose. This research aims to analyze the critical discourse of Richard Eliezer's confession after the verdict in the Rosi program on Kompas TV. This analysis will explore how the language and narratives used by Richard Eliezer and the program presenters shape public perception of his case and identify the ideology and power operating behind the discourse. Method. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The method of analysis in this research is description and interpretation. The data of this research is taken from the discourse of the news video of Richard Eliezer's expression after the verdict of the murder of Brigadier Yoshua. Results. The results showed that Richard Eliezer's confession was structured with language that sought to construct his image as a victim and seek public sympathy. The program presenter played an important role in reinforcing this narrative through empathetic and supportive questions. The ideologies identified in this discourse include attempts to redefine justice and challenge existing power structures. Conclusion. That the discourse in the Rosi program related to Richard Eliezer's confession after the verdict shows efforts to reconstruct self-image through the strategic use of language and narrative. The discourse not only reflects the power and ideology operating but also directs public opinion towards a particular interpretation of justice. This analysis provides a deeper understanding of how the media can influence perceptions and shape social reality.
