Development of Flipped Classroom Learning Combined with Google Classroom and Video Conference to Improve Students’ Learning Independent and Mathematics Learning Outcomes Suryawan, I Putu Pasek; Pratiwi, Kadek Ayu Mutiara; Suharta, I Gusti Putu

Abstract

The problem of this research arises from learning independent is a crucial part needed in learning which then gives certain influence toward learning outcome; hence a right strategy is needed to gain it. This study was developmental study toward flipped classroom learning aiming at: analyzing the validity, practicality and the effectiveness of flipped classroom learning combined with google classroom and video conference. This study was based on ADDIE model. In accordance to the subject of this study, there were three experts in developing learning administrations and two experts in developing learning media in validating stage and 32 students from Junior High School in implementing stage. The results of this research in terms of quantitative findings revealed that the validity of learning administration was worth to be implemented with validity average of lesson plan was around 88,10%, teaching materials was around 90,00%, evaluation instrument was 90,48% and learning media was 90,00 % and those result was categorized into very worth-implementing. The practicality of flipped classroom seen from the questionnaire result showed that students’ respond gained 3,22 which could be categorized into high category, and teachers’ respond was at 3,70 which can be categorized into very high category. In term of learning independent, an improvement was also found, where before learning an average of 2.49 with the low category, and after learning 2.90 with the high category. The result of gain-analysis showed that the gained score reached 0,44 which could be categorized into medium. This result could be categorized into quite effective in improving the students’ math learning outcome. Based  on the result gained during the data analysis, it could be concluded that flipped classroom combined  with google classroom and video conference was effective in improving students’ learning independent and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran flipped classroom terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain post test only group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 3 Semarapura sebanyak 275 orang. Sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dipilih secara acak (cluster random sampling) sehingga menghasilkan dua kelompok yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan memberikan intrumen post-test kepada dua kelompok kelas pada akhir penelitian, menghasilkan data hasil belajar matematika siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t independent sample pihak kanan dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak. Hal ini berarti hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran flipped classroom lebih baik dibandingkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan ini menunjukkan keefektifan dari penggunaan flipped classroom learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada masa pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

The importance of using learning media in mathematics learning so that learning is more interesting has not been optimized, learning is still conventional which affects the low ability to solve students' mathematical problems. This research develops interactive learning media oriented to Problem-Based Learning designed to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. The research procedure used is the procedure from Plomp which consists of 3 phases, namely, the Preliminary Research Phase, the Prototyping Phase, and the Assessment Phase. The subjects of the study were two validators, as well as 26 students in the limited trial, 35 students in field trial I, and as many as 43 students in field test II. The result of the product is an interactive learning media oriented to problem-based learning that is of valid, practical, and effective quality. Product quality obtained an average score of 3.60 with a very valid category, practical quality in terms of student response, teacher response, and media implementation in classroom learning, and effective quality in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills as evidenced by gain-score with a fairly effective category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep matematika yang terkandung dalam tata busana dan koreografi Tari Baris Gede Bali melalui perspektif etnomatematika. Praktik budaya sering dipandang terpisah dari matematika formal, padahal banyak kesenian tradisional yang secara implisit memuat struktur matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur matematika yang terintegrasi dalam tata busana, pola gerak, serta gestur tubuh penari Tari Baris Gede. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain eksploratif yang dilaksanakan di Bali. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan penari Tari Baris Gede, observasi langsung pertunjukan, serta studi literatur. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai konsep matematika muncul dalam elemen pertunjukan Tari Baris Gede. Pada tata busana ditemukan konsep bangun datar dan ruang, simetri, serta transformasi geometri seperti refleksi dan translasi pada elemen gelungan, lamak, dan tombak. Pada struktur gerakan tari ditemukan keteraturan langkah yang merepresentasikan pola bilangan dan pengulangan gerak dalam bagian pepeson, pengadeng, pengecet, dan pekaad. Selain itu, formasi dan gestur tubuh penari menunjukkan konsep bangun datar, transformasi geometri berupa translasi dan rotasi, serta konsep sudut dan keseimbangan geometri pada posisi tubuh saat ngagem. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa matematika tidak hanya hadir dalam konteks formal, tetapi juga hidup dalam praktik budaya. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi sebagai sumber belajar kontekstual berbasis etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran matematika.
