Abstract

The Qur'an is the holy book revealed by Allah SWT to the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a guide for all Muslims. Reading and understanding the Qur'an is a crucial obligation for every Muslim. However, the ability to read the Qur'an among the Indonesian population, especially children, is still far from ideal. This situation has prompted the government and educational institutions to seek effective methods to improve Qur'anic reading skills from an early age. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, play a vital role in Qur'anic education. One method used in these institutions is the Ummi method, designed to fAacilitate Qur'anic learning through a systematic approach.This study aims to describe the foundation, implementation, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors of the Ummi method in enhancing the Qur'anic reading skills of first-level students at Madrasah Tarbiyatul Qur'an Darul Hijroh Surabaya in 2024. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, the study reveals that the Ummi method is effective through a gentle, structured, and systematic approach. Supporting factors include distinctive tones and effective classroom management, while challenges include differences in students' concentration levels and limited study time. Family support and adaptive learning strategies are essential to enhance the effectiveness of this method beyond formal learning hours.

Abstract

This research focuses on extracurricular activities at State Middle School 16 Pekanbaru which focuses on meeting the needs of students by implementing the independent curriculum to prepare students for the changing lives of the 21st century which contains the characteristics and local potential of State Middle School 16 Pekanbaru which results in students having a Pancasila Student Profile which has six dimensions, namely faith and devotion to God Almighty and noble character, working together, reasoning critically, creatively, independently, and global diversity. and one of the focuses is value-based Islamic Religious Education. This research discusses the activities carried out at Pekan Baru 16 State Junior High School which aim to improve the spiritual quality of students. This research was conducted using a qualitative method approach. Through in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation, data was collected from informants which was then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show an increase in students' ability to carry out their obligations as Muslims so that they are expected to be able to create noble morals in accordance with the goals of the Pancasila Student profile.

Abstract

Abstract Islam as a study target and research object literally is a study and research on matters related to Islam, discussing systematic and integrated studies to know, understand, and analyze in depth matters related to Islam. Islam in the object of Islamic Religious Education is an effort to study Islam by applying scientific methods, especially in the context of social science. The object of Islamic Religious Education is usually termed Islam at three levels, namely Islam as revelation, Islam as understanding or thought, and Islam as practice in Society. This study uses the Literature review method to study Islam as a study of the field of Islamic studies (Dirosah Islamiyah). Where in this discussion it was concluded that: sialam as an object of study of Islamic Religious Education is a conscious and systematic effort to know and understand and discuss in depth the ins and outs or matters related to Islam, both related to teachings, history and practices of its implementation in real life.
