Abstract

The concept of Production Planning and Control is closely related to logistics activities, including in determining the production of a product. Production planning and control aims to get a complete picture of how to plan and control production in the industry of each company, so that all costs can be reduced. Production planning, Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP), and Line Balancing are some of the steps that need to be done in providing an overview of the production planning and control system at the "Tamiya" Company. Production planning results in the amount of "Tamiya" production in a certain period by considering SEE and the most appropriate production strategy that results in total costs. MPS validation considerations are the output of the RCCP calculation, a comparison of the ratio of the required capacity to the capacity of the company. The MRP stage reduces production due to material unavailability, the result is the best material scheduling based on the lot sizing method which provides the lowest cost. CRP generates Planned Input and Planned Output per work station to see the balance between load and capacity. Line Balancing functions to balance assignments through the Ranking Position Weight (RPW) and Presedence Diagram methods, getting results in the form of updating the layout of the assignment so that the efficiency of the production line can be improved

Abstract

PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) is a world-class port offering integrated services between Indonesian ports. The establishment of Perind as a result of this integration is a strategic initiative of the government as a shareholder to realize national connectivity and a stronger logistics ecosystem network. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying hazards, assessing risks, and managing port service activities. Use HIRARC (Hazard, Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Management) and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) methods to identify hazards and perform risk assessments. With the use of the HIRARC method, 10 potential risks were found in one green risk assessment indicating that the potential problem was moderate. For inventory warehouse personnel activities, the value is 3, and the warehouse worker or worker unloading value is 3. Mixed strategies can be found in the four quadrants of analysis using SWOT for the following purposes: Improving and improving the quality of the company.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of evaluating the impact of the working environment, health and safety at work on the performance of workers in the PT XYZ Workshop division. I thought about using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), and SMARTPLS software uses Least Squares handling for variation. The analysis results show that occupational safety and health factors have a significant influence on employees’ work performance and motivation, while work environmental factors do not have a significant impact on performance. And employee work motivation. Furthermore, work motivation has no effect on employee performance, so it does not play a mediating role in the relationship between safety, health and the work environment and employee performance.

Abstract

Ensuring adequate food provision to meet human basic needs is of utmost importance. In Indonesia, achieving food security involves meeting the food requirements of all individuals and eliminating the risk of famine. The government's strategy to ensure national food security centers on maintaining a steady supply of rice throughout the year, recognizing its paramount significance. To address this concern, this study aims to enhance rice supplies at Gudang Bulog Baru Tempel Lemahbang 202 Blora by implementing the economic order quantity (EOQ) method. The research findings demonstrate that by utilizing the EOQ method, the optimal rice supply order size would be 15,319.4 tons. This order should be placed 119 times per year, given the 280 business days available. The annual cost of implementing this policy at Gudang Bulog Baru Tempel Lemahbang 202 Blora is estimated to be Rp. 424,484,526. Implementing the EOQ method proves beneficial in minimizing the cost for individual rice orders due to its high frequency throughout the year, which directly affects the total cost. Nevertheless, it is crucial to reassess alternative policies to further reduce the overall cost incurred in both the short and long term if the objective of the EOQ method is cost minimization.Top of Form

Abstract

Indonesia, characterized by its susceptibility to natural calamities such as seismic activities, tsunamis, inundations, and volcanic eruptions, experienced a significant event on December 26, 2004, when a seismic event measuring 9.1 in magnitude occurred off the northern Sumatran coast, precipitating a tsunami with particularly severe repercussions in the Aceh province. The absence of preemptive measures exacerbated the catastrophe, leading to a substantial loss of lives. Subsequent to this incident, the implementation of Tsunami Evacuation Buildings (TEB) has been underway as a preventive measure against potential tsunami disasters. The construction process involves utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) technology for mapping during evacuations. The escalating population has rendered the existing TEB facilities insufficient for evacuation purposes, necessitating the construction of additional TEB structures. The determination of TEB locations involves a location-allocation analysis, with subsequent assessment of the nearest routes conducted through closest facility analysis. Research findings indicate that the incorporation of three new TEBs has proven effective in facilitating timely evacuation during tsunamis, accommodating a population of 6,528 within a maximum duration of 22 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 11,808. However, it is noteworthy that the efficacy of these facilities is contingent upon factors such as the condition of the building's ground floor in the event of a tsunami-induced flooding, which may influence the overall capacity

Abstract

Padang City is an area that is predicted to occur in the Mentawai Megathrust disaster. In dealing with these potential disasters, proper planning is needed to reduce the impact of disasters. The exact location of the Temporary Evacuation Sites (TES) will affect the safety level of the community. However, based on the current situation, the COVID-19 pandemic adds to the complexity of disaster management. Therefore, anticipatory steps are needed to prevent the spread of disease in the environment. This study aims to design a TES location-allocation to deal with the potential Mentawai Megathrust disaster in Padang City by adjust to physical distancing health protocols. Determination of the location-allocation in this study is using Network Analysis extension namely Maximum Capacitated Location Problem (MCLP) in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In addition, this study uses an evacuation time scenario with an interval of 3-30 minutes consisting of two different scenarios involving the use of community response times to disasters. The location-allocation results consist of four results based on the scenario of evacuation time and the addition of Proposed TES. Based on the location-allocation results, with the addition of Proposed TES, the maximum number of people that can be accommodated is only around 34-39 percent in both evacuation scenarios. This shows that there is a need for further design related to both Existing TES and Proposed TES so that the percentage of the number of people who can be accommodated can increase.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the patient flows through a number of processes in the Emergency Department (ED) using Discrete Event Simulation (DES) approach. In this paper, the time that a patient spends in the ED as well as the total number of patients served by the ED in a day were investigated and compared with the standard of the medical service time set by the hospital. A case study of Hospital X’s ED in Jakarta, Indonesia was modeled using ProModel software. In addition, this research also proposes a number of considerable scenarios for defining the suitable number of beds and nurses. The results signify that the average time spent in the ED and the number of patients served can be optimized by adding 1 nurse and 2 beds. This finding signifies that the DES modeling approach may assist the hospital managers with the decent decision for improving the efficiency of the patient flows in the ED.
