Abstract

The concept of Production Planning and Control is closely related to logistics activities, including in determining the production of a product. Production planning and control aims to get a complete picture of how to plan and control production in the industry of each company, so that all costs can be reduced. Production planning, Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP), and Line Balancing are some of the steps that need to be done in providing an overview of the production planning and control system at the "Tamiya" Company. Production planning results in the amount of "Tamiya" production in a certain period by considering SEE and the most appropriate production strategy that results in total costs. MPS validation considerations are the output of the RCCP calculation, a comparison of the ratio of the required capacity to the capacity of the company. The MRP stage reduces production due to material unavailability, the result is the best material scheduling based on the lot sizing method which provides the lowest cost. CRP generates Planned Input and Planned Output per work station to see the balance between load and capacity. Line Balancing functions to balance assignments through the Ranking Position Weight (RPW) and Presedence Diagram methods, getting results in the form of updating the layout of the assignment so that the efficiency of the production line can be improved

Abstract

All of automotive companies around the world are aggressively producing large number of motorized vehicles, especially cars. A car is a transportation mode that is widely used by the middle and upper class. The large number of cars uses cannot be separated from the needs for maintenance of the vehicle itself. Lubricant is the core of engine maintenance on vehicles. Therefore, the demand for lubricants continues to increase due to the increasing demand for cars. Bandar Lampung, for the example, is increasing in the term of the city’s population that is affecting its number of people who own cars. This phenomenon caused the demand for lubricants to increase significantly, so that many lubricant distributors were overwhelmed by this demand. Seeing this opportunity, the RWM Logistics, which is a new Third Party Logistics (3PL) company with value added service is lubricant packaging, has a plan to build a lubricant storage facility in Bandar Lampung. In designing the facility, the company has to decide the layout design, area requirements, material handling planning, and the operational costs. The development of this facility is expected to help the company to meet the demand of lubricant products that were not covered by other distributors.

Abstract

Upstream oil and gas industry is one industry that has an important role in the economic movement in Indonesia. Products produced by this industry, namely oil and gas, are one of the largest energy sources in Indonesia. High demand must be supported by rapid exploration and production activities. This activity must be supported by other divisions, one of which is the procurement of goods and services. The main problem currently faced by companies is the length of the procurement process causing the duration of the procurement process to be long. There are 2 factors that cause the duration of procurement duration, namely technical bid evaluation by the user and pre-qualification activities. This research uses quantitative methods by calculating process cycle efficiency and value stream mapping. The results of this study show using the offline method, the resulting process efficiency cycle is 60.59% and the duration of procurement is 67 days. Using the combination of online and offline methods, the process cycle efficiency increased to 73.06% with a procurement duration of 59 days. This shows that the online method can reduce the duration of procurement by up to 8 days with a process cycle efficiency increasing by 12.47%. However, both methods have their advantages and disadvantages so it is proposed that the two methods can be combined to produce less time.

Abstract

Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport has been putting efforts to provide a better service to airline passengers. However, due to some problems, Soekarno-Hatta Airport's on-time performance has recorded a drastic decline since the beginning of 2016 to early 2018. Therefore, this study aims to propose a strategy to improve Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s on-time performance using creative problem-solving approaches. The proposed strategy is designed based on secondary data collected from January 2016 to December 2018. This study evaluates the data using creative problem-solving approaches and uses Singapore’s Changi Airport as a benchmark airport. The root causes of improving on-time performance is identified using Kepner-Tregoe Problem Analysis, while the solution is designed using SCAMPER technique, Kepner-Tregoe Decision Analysis, Adverse Consequences table and Kepner-Tregoe Potential Problem Analysis. The result reveals several problem’s root causes which influence the low on-time performance in Soekarno-Hatta Airport such as: less integrated baggage handling system, longer passenger loading process due to long queue at check-in gates, high number of arriving delay caused by late departure from origin port, and unpredictable weather. The proposed solution for these problems is improving the baggage handling system in Soekarno-Hatta Airport using the latest conveyor technology. By implementing this solution, it is expected that the on-time performance in Soekarno-Hatta Airport will increase and reach the same level as Changi Airport’s.

Abstract

PT Tridi Oasis Group merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan limbah sampah botol plastik PET menjadi produk jadi berupa cacahan plastik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh perusahaan dalam menerapkan 5S. Observasi, pengumpulan data, dokumentasi serta fishbone diagram digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Lingkup penelitian difokuskan pada 3 area, gudang by product, gudang bahan baku, dan gudang barang jadi. Hasil evaluasi memperlihatkan kurangnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan pekerja sehingga implementasi belum dilaksanakan secara konsisten. Penyimpanan barang di gudang masih tercampur dengan yang lainnya. Kondisi area kerja belum menunjukkan telah diterapkanya budaya 5S dengan baik. Hasil penilaian audit juga memperlihatkan komponen 5S yang dijalankan perusahaan hanya Seiri, Seiton dan Seiso, sedangkan Seiketsu dan Shitsuke belum diterapkan. Hasil penilaian terhadap komponen Seiton dan Seiso masih sangat rendah dibandingkan standar perusahaan.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to evaluate company policy in determining raw material ordering rates which are then compared with the EOQ, POQ, and Min-Max methods. This research uses a quantitive case study method using data obtained from the company. Forecasting is done using WinQSB and MAD, MSE and MAPE software for forecasting accuracy. Based on data processing, the data shows the horizontal pattern and the chosen forecasting method is the Simple Average method. Research shows the EOQ method has an order quantity of 1192 units / order with an order frequency of 11 times a year and has the smallest total inventory cost of the three methods compared which is Rp 269,520,852,781 or almost 50% lower than the total costs incurred by the company using the current method. ROP point has a value of 3395 units with a safety stock value of 106 units.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kebijakan perusahaan dalam menentukan tingkat pemesanan bahan baku yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan metode EOQ, POQ dan Min-Max. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari perusahaan. Peramalan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak WinQSB dan MAD, MSE dan MAPE untuk akurasi peramalan. Berdasarkan pengolahan data, data menunjukkan pola horizontal dan metode peramalan yang dipilih adalah metode Simple Average. Penelitian ini menunjukkan metode EOQ memiliki jumlah pesanan 1192 unit / pesanan dengan frekuensi pemesanan 11 kali setahun dan memiliki total biaya persediaan terkecil dari ketiga metode yang dibandingkan yaitu Rp 269.520.852 atau hampir 50% lebih rendah dari total biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan dengan metode saat ini. Titik ROP memiliki nilai 3395 unit dengan nilai stok pengaman 106 unit.

Abstract

Increasing the number of consumers' awareness of halal products makes Dicaffe Dimsum & Coffee want to encourage the current condition of logistics activities to increase the guarantee of halal products. Therefore, it is necessary to create value for current conditions which are based on the principles of halal logistics in all business activities. The purpose of this research is to create Halal Logistics Value Co-Creation in order to provide maximum service on the basis of halal and tayyib principles for all products sold at Dicaffe Dimsum & Coffee. The data used are primary data, namely the results of interviews, and secondary data, namely historical data in the form of sales data and material supplier data. The results showed that the critical points are found in 4 activities: Receiving Product, Put Away, Storage, and Customer Service/Product. The increase in activities based on halal principles is based on 5 parameters including social factors, the proportion of product value, value creation, value delivery, and value capture

Abstract

Krupuk Mlarat merupakan salah satu makanan khas yang berasal dari Kota Cirebon. Saat ini sebagian besar UMKM yang memproduksi Krupuk Mlarat masih menggunakan cara tradisional dan sangat sederhana, sehingg tidak pelaku usahanya tidak berkembang sesuai dengan harapan. Oleh akrena itu, dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan pendampingan terhadap UMKM Krupuk Mlarat di Desa Setu Kulon Cirebon. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pemetaan potensi, perbaikan proses produksi, perbaikan kualitas pengemasan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan dan pembukuan sederhana. Hasil kegiatan berupa pemetaan profil UMKM Krupuk Mlarat, memberikan usulan perbaikan tata letak proses produksi, memberikan usulan kemasan Krupuk Mlarat dan juga melaksanakan pelatihan kewirausahaan dan pembukuan sederhana. Terlaksananya kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan semangat dan motivasi kepada pengusaha UMKM Krupuk Mlarat dalam mengelola usahanya

Abstract

Penyebaran virus covid-19 terbukti tidak hanya melalui kontak langsung antar manusia, tetapi juga melalui barang-barang kiriman atau delivery package. Disisi lain, selama masa pandemi aktivitas pengiriman barang mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan usaha untuk meminimalisir penyebaran virus Covid-19 melalui media kemas­an pengiriman barang tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan alat Disinfects UV dengan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Tahapan pertama penelitian adalah melaku­kan penentuan atribut kebutuhan peran­cangan, pengumpulan dan pengolahan data respon­den melalui voice of customer, serta uji validitas dan reliabilitas hingga sampai ke tahap akhir berupa analisis dan implementasi. Hasil dari perhitungan tingkat kepen­tingan keinginan customer sebelum perancangan House of Quality (HoQ) didapatkan urutan terpenting dari atribut kebutuhan secara ber­turut-turut, yaitu mesin tidak bising; kemudahan pengoperasian; fungsi utama desinfeksi barang; kapasitas alat; dimensi; perawatan; rangka atau dudukan alat; motor penggerak; bahan konveyor; serta mobilitas alat atau mudah dipindah­kan. Penelitian menghasilkan alat Disinfects UV dengan dimensi 150x60x75 cm dengan ukuran box UV 60x76x60 cm. Perancangan alat ini diharapkan dapat membantu penyedia jasa layan­an pengiriman barang ataupun instansi lain untuk menekan penyebaran virus covid-19.

Abstract

Industri kelapa sawit merupakan sektor yang penting bagi perekonomian nasional Indonesia. Kelapa sawit dipahami sebagai salah satu komoditas pertanian yang strategis sehingga segala aspek yang mampu meningkatkan produksi kelapa sawit beserta produk turunannya menarik untuk diteliti. Penelitian ini fokus pada produksi Crude Palm Oil (CPO), Palm Kernel (PK), dan pendapatan Pabrik Kelapa Sawit (PKS) khususnya di Tanjung Seumantoh dengan memperhatikan suplai bahan baku berupa Tandan Buah Segar (TBS). Melihat bahwa pada periode Januari-Desember 2020, capaian produksi CPO dan PK lebih kecil dibandingkan target yang disebabkan oleh minimnya pasokan TBS dari masing-masing penyulai (supplier) sehingga dibutuhkan optimasi sistem produksi. Didahului dengan pengembangan model matematis yang menggambarkan keadaan nyata di lapangan, kemudian dilakukan sejumlah eksperimen dan uji skenario untuk mengetahui skema yang paling sesuai dalam kerangka pemenuhan target produksi PTPN I area Sumatera Utara. Ada 2 skenario yang diujikan dimana skenario 1 mempertimbangkan rendemen realisasi sedangkan skenario 2 menggunakan rendemen target pada model. Mengingat ada lebih dari 1 objektif model yang ingin dicapai maka digunakan metode goal programming untuk mengolah data dengan software LINGO. Dari hasil eksperimen, diketahui bahwa penerapan skenario 2 yang paling baik untuk memenuhi target produksi, dengan nilai penyimpangan lebih kecil dibandingkan pada skenario 1. Lalu pada skenario 2, diketahui juga bahwa ada kebutuhan peningkatan suplai TBS untuk satu tahun sebagai berikut: 16% dari kebun sendiri, 12% dari pembelian perkebunan rakyat dan 8% dari Kerja Sama Operasional (KSO).
