Abstract

This study is entitled "Multicultural Counseling Model in Cultivating Religious Moderation Attitudes in Adolescents". This study is motivated by religious moderation which is an ongoing challenge, the lack of religious moderation attitudes is caused by the lack of awareness of national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence and accommodating to local culture. So that efforts need to be made in order to foster religious moderation attitudes, namely by using a multicultural counseling model. The purpose of this study, first, is to determine the description of religious moderation attitudes in adolescents in Gunung Gare Village before multicultural counseling is carried out. Second, to determine the description of religious moderation attitudes in adolescents in Gunung Gare Village after multicultural counseling is carried out. Third, to determine the effectiveness of the multicultural counseling model in fostering religious moderation attitudes in adolescents in Gunung Gare Village. This research method uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research type and a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was 6. The data collection technique in this study used documentation and questionnaires with a total of 32 statements that had been tested for validity r count > r table with a range of r count values 0.364-0.747 and r table 0.361. The data analysis technique used normality test and hypothesis test. The results of the study showed an attitude of religious moderation in adolescents with an average pretest value of 76 then increased as seen from the average posttest value of 107. From the results of the normality test, a pretest of 0.301 and a posttest of 0.616 were obtained and the T test showed that the significant value (2-tailed) of 0.001 was less than 0.05, meaning that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, and there was a difference between the pretest and posttest. Therefore, the multicultural counseling model is effective in fostering an attitude of religious moderation in adolescents in Gunung Gare Village.

Abstract

The research is titled “The Relationship Between Smartphone Addiction and Academic Procrastination Behavior Among Students.” The aim of this study is to assess whether there is a correlation between the level of smartphone addiction and academic procrastination behavior among students of the Guidance and Islamic Counseling Study Program at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The population of this research consists of all students from the 2022 cohort of the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program, totaling 81 students; thus, the sampling technique used in this study is probability sampling (random sampling), amounting to 55 students. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire comprising 23 statements, with the decision-making basis being if rCount > rTable, then the statement is considered valid. The data analysis technique utilized the Pearson product-moment correlation test, with the decision rule being if the value of the Pearson product-moment correlation > rTable, then there is a relationship between the two variables. The findings of this research indicate that the Pearson correlation value (0.606) > rTable (0.266), with the interpretation value falling within the interval of 0.61 to 0.80. Based on the hypothesis testing results obtained by the researcher, it was found that there is a relationship between the level of smartphone addiction and academic procrastination behavior among students of the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This is evidenced by the Pearson correlation value (r) of 0.606, indicating a "strong" relationship between the two variables, with the correlation being positive; in other words, as the level of smartphone addiction increases, the level of academic procrastination among students also increases.

Abstract

This study is entitled The Relationship of Family Support with Motivation to Recover to Clients at the Ar -Rahman Palembang Narcotics Rehabilitation Center Foundation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support with motivation to recover on clients at the Ar-Rahman Palembang Narcotics Rehabilitation Center Foundation. The method in this researcher is quantitative with the type of correlational research. The sample of this study totaled 45 respondents and sampling techniques in the form of purposive sampling. This study uses a prerequisite test consisting of a normality test, linearity and hypothesis test using SPSS assistance. Data collection methods using a questionnaire. The results show that the client rehabilitation has a moderate level of family support (69%) and the level of motivation to recover is moderate (65%). By using the Pearson Product Moment correlation, researchers found that the Rxy value = 0.303 with a significant 0.043 P = 0.043 (p <0.05). This means there is a positive relationship between family support and motivation to recover on clients at the Ar-Rahman Palembang drug rehabilitation center foundation. The relationship shows that the higher the family support, the higher the motivation to recover, the lower the family support, the lower the motivation to recover.
